Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is a DLC that delivers everything I expected and more. What I mean by that is that it felt like a separate game but it's still Cyberpunk 2077, you're free to go in and out of dogtown and each time you do it's like dogtown isn't a part of Night City. It still amazes me on how that works so well. To start off I'd like to talk about the story because that sh*t was beautiful. The amount of times I trusted and doubted people is insane. It is a roller coaster ride of theory crafting while I am playing. The uncertainty of where the story will take you, its unpredictable plot points is fantastic. There was only one shock value along the way and that was enough. I completed everything Phantom Liberty has to offer outside of the main questline, i made sure to leave no stone un-turned. But it being my first play-through of Phantom Liberty I only got to experience one of the many possible endings and I'm not gonna lie... the emotional damage hit me like a truck. By the time the credits rolled I was tearing up. In terms of game-play it's the same as with the base game of cyberpunk, it just expanded upon. Missions doesn't let you do the same thing there's always a twist on how to approach each event from guiding Reed along a stretch of corridors while you have a bird's eye view from the sniper's nest, to impersonating people where you have to make the right choices that would fit how the character you are impersonating would act and of course the ever lore expanding side quests that help make the world of cyberpunk feel so alive. When it comes to characters, like I said earlier, they are all a "tough-read" and what I mean by that is I couldn't figure out their motivations. Of course, I thought I did at the start when there's basically a clear "Right or wrong" from my perspective. But then you finish act one and step into act two where those motivations starts to clash. Now you have no clue... Right is now Up and Wrong is now Down. Suddenly there is a giant fork in the road with multiple paths and you can only choose one. The best part is that every choice is the correct one. They are all good but they clash with all the other choices. So it's up to you to PICK which RIGHT will reach the finish line. I love cyberpunk man. I still want flying cars, appearance changing cyberware, more romance activities/options, be able to get trauma team coverage, clothing doesn't come in individual pieces but condensed into "Type and Color". Have every vehicle, guns, apartments be able to be customized. Character customization similar to black desert. I mean there is a lot of things I want in the game... but at the end of it all I am very satisfied on what it is now. 10/10.

The game itself is already extremely good, and its original endings are emotion-rich. But this DLC, oh my god. Whatever choices you make, you're gonna have a blast. This extension is a masterpiece, and you should not play Cyberpunk 2077 without it. It just makes your overall experience and understanding of Night City and its characters so SO much better. Ik it's expensive, but buy it.

PL is a must have if you are going to get 2077. This DLC turns an already incredible game into an absolute masterpiece.

This is one of harder recommendations. Yes, but only if you are really into the base game. You can easily play the base game and forget you have this content but the extra endings are worth it if you are really into the base game to want to see all the endings. Also frankly if there is a canon ending it is a Phantom Liberty ending.

This is one of the only games I've 100 percent-ed. The world is so immersive and the side quests are are of incredibly high quality. To any new players I'd recommend not blitzing through the main quest but instead taking the time to explore night city.

Replayed from the start fitting in Phantom Liberty with Act 2. Didn't even feel like finishing act 3 after going through Phantom Liberty. I've played practically all the RPG's and cyberpunk is one of the best, now add this expansion to the mix and oh my.... what an experience. I had to take a moment to reflect for a few hours after finishing Phantom Liberty. I really hope they make another cyberpunk. 10/10

Visuals and gameplay are a big step above the base game. Some of the most fun i've had gaming in a long time. Great story, very well written characters, and a new way to end the game. 10/10 no notes

"I'm fading V..." The best DLC to any game I've played. You get many chances and so many different outcomes. Even in the end if you choose the darker paths, you get a chance at redemption. I wish the base game would've been this impactful with music and decisions, though the base game is still also amazing! But this DLC felt like a whole other game, just a bit short for one.

I don’t want to sound melodramatic—and I know the base game had its issues at launch—but discovering it now, with the expansion, feels like finding a gem at the perfect time. I am completely hooked. The worldbuilding is phenomenal: from the atmospheric music to the deeply written characters, it’s immersive in the best way. Combat is genuinely fun, as are the perk trees. The quests stay fresh, and by the time you reach Act 2, the open world and graphics unfold in a way that’s absolutely stunning. And the best part? I don’t even feel the need to install a dozen mods just to make my V look amazing. 10/10. I need more from this universe. No notes.

Good gameplay, garbage ending. The good first: This is a fully fledged expansion campaign that offers multiple endings and one new main story ending. There is an entire game's worth of content here and it fully justifies the $30 pricetag even with the warts. If you want more time in Night City and are tired of replaying the base game for the nth time, this is for you. The new gear is great, the missions are great. Put short, this is probably the best DLC for a game in the last 15 years. Now, the ugly. The ugly is that the story to this DLC has a very unsatisfying ending no matter how you slice it. The intent is to be bitter sweet, I know, but when trying to make that happen involves V making random nonsense decisions like getting all the way to the end of a plan and then not doing it because ???? I get turned off. What do you mean I can rip Adam Smasher's head off but AIRPORT SECURITY cutscene tazes me to black? Cyberpunk has always struggled with the story not jiving with the gameplay, an issue exasperated by the development struggling a bit. In this DLC though, I can't really excuse it since they had time to do it. Still though, worth a buy just to get more game out of a very near 10/10 title.

One of the few times where i did not feel any regrets after buying a dlc. It may feel expensive but it is truly worth it in my opinion as it overhauls the game, adds a new district and the best weapons in the game. It adds so much stuff that i would suggest starting a new playthrough. The story of the dlc lives up to the story of the main game and compliments it perfectly. Truly a piece of art!!!

This is for me, probably the best expansion I’ve played for any game. It addresses many of the issues of the main game, giving a more focused story and more open approaches in missions. The twisting spy story is fantastic, constantly having you question who to trust and whether your decisions are correct. The performances from all the actors are amazing. This is genuinely probably one of the best pieces of spy fiction, in any medium, of the last few decades.

Honestly, didn't care for the characters in this DLC at all, it was just another spy story, but Idris Elba was fantastic and the game has come such a long way from the broken state I played it through when it was released, so giving this a thumbs up. I really don't understand how they can make a story revolve around saving one person when V's been slaughtering the entirety of night city left and right, like they got feelings anymore. I'm also sick of hearing Keanu Reeves mumble some bs in the game. Also really liked the ending's terminator vibe.

De los mejores DLC que he jugado sin duda, la historia es mucho mejor y las desiciones tomadas tienen peso, lo recomiendo muchisimo, y si no han jugado el juego, es mejor jugarlo directamente con DLC. Muy gooodd

Arguably the best part of cyberpunk overall, the dlc's story is miles better, the new skills and items to unlock are nice additions. Overall a good expansion on the game.

I could not recommend this more. The story, characters, atmosphere, and all of the impossible decisions you have to make along the way make this possibly the most heart-wrenching and compelling pieces of media I've ever seen. I'd put this DLC on the same level as something like RDR2, which in my opinion is currently the greatest game ever made. Just get it. Don't ask if it's worth it, because it is. Also, very importantly: play through the first time with as little outside influence as possible.

The story somehow manages to be even better than base-game Cyberpunk. It's a true tragic epic. Also, Dawid Podsiadło absolutely nailed the theme song.

Everything this DLC adds to the game fits nicely into the base game, the missions are intense and the characters interesting. My game lagged the first few times in the new area, especially when driving but then it went away after playing a little more.

cyberpunk is by far the best game released in the last 5 years (yes buggy on release due to blackmailed early release) given all the sacrifices made to give us the game they promised id say they delivered. id give anything to voice act and mocap for cd projekt red. their stories are fantastic, environments are lively, all things a gamer could want to do.

this is so much better than the main game in every way possible, all the different endings and interesting characters they included even in the simple gig side missions which now are more like actual side missions, all animated and with different outcomes, in general a lot of dialogue matters way more, must play must buy, soak it up. also, fuck the voodoo boys

VERY GOOD! I have really enjoyed this DLC storyline. It is well structured with some twists along the way. Casual. Overall worth playing (only at discount). Did not like the fact that it is merged with standard game. As I played original few years back, I forgot most things. Had to grind my way back. In addition, few missions require passing time. You can not just wait at the spot you got the trigger, but you need to go away and then wait. Kinda silly.

Probably one of the best narrative DLC's to be released in recent memory. I honestly enjoyed this way more than the base game/story which I already liked a decent bit. It is totally worth getting if you already enjoy the game on its own.

Having grown to mostly like CP77 despite the gaping flaws, and hearing all the hype about Phantom Liberty, I was pretty excited about this DLC. Unfortunately for me, it doubled down on everything I didn't like about the core game, and went hard down the cinematic/ linear/ boss fight driven action route. TBH the first two hours of the DLC might as well be Call of Duty - you are basically just running down corridors with the occasional hidden loot side passage between set piece firefights and boss mobs. I understand that those sorts of games are very popular, but they don't work for me at all.

The entire DLC is ruined by one critical mission right at the end. It's not an original idea, or an interesting one. You have to sneak around and hide from an enemy that kills you in one hit. You might be thinking "I've seen that trope before but Cyberpunk brings a lot of interesting new stealth options to the table, it might be fun." Wrong! They take away every option at your disposal. You have no weapons, no hacks, no items, no equipment, they even take away your minimap. In a game where the level design is generally fantastic, this one mapless gauntlet is perhaps the darkest and most confusing level in the entire game. It's long too. So long that any fear or tension they were trying to invoke quickly fades and it just becomes a chore. It might have worked as a creepy side quest, but they chose to lock half the DLC's endings (including the only one that unlocks a new full game ending path) behind one of the worst experience I've had gaming in a long time. Thumbs down. It left a sour taste in my mouth right at the end of the meal. I hope whatever moron designed that mission isn't working on the new Witcher.

Play the core game without Phantom Liberty. If you are having a great time then go ahead and buy this. I don't recommend the primary game either, but I would have had a better experience without playing Phantom Liberty.
