pretty fun and realistic better than others

worked well for awhile then it had some problems and now it wont even start. ive done all the troubleshooting guides. nothing has worked idk what else to do. this game is now just a waste of space on my computer.

Great flight simulator. The scenery is very nice, and it runs good on most pcs depending in the graphics settings, It also has great tutorials for new players, and has great single player missions. Also the multiplayer in fsx is very good. You can also share an aircraft and sit in the passenger seat, this is really good if you want to teach friends how to use planes. A really good feature is the fact that you can use your mouse as a joystick, I wish newer microsoft flight simulators had this, this is very helpful if you have limited space on your desk, and in my opinion the mouse actually works better than a joystick. You can easily custamize the speed of the movement movement in windows settings. Overall this is a very nice simulator, and I recommend it if you just want to sit back and relax with a flight simulator.

Classic flight simulator with lots of available add-ons both free and paid. Low barrier to entry in terms of cost and computer hardware.

pretty realistic and fun with a lot of freeware addons for your game from 3rd party websites, the flight physics feels okay for a flight simulator released in 2015, default scenery and graphics arent the best but they can be fixed with addons and dlcs. price is reasonable and is worth purchasing even if it isnt on sale. overall this game runs pretty smoothly on my PC compared to x-plane or msfs

As of 5/31/2025 i have 436hs with fsx on steam and countless hours with FSX.. most of the time spent with this simulator is dedicated to loading time, crashed fligths, configuration and very very little actual enjoyable fligth time.

The best for some cheap but meaningful IFR training! Still use it today after more than 10 years to maintain some proficiency in casual IFR.

For those that need training and not glorious scenery and slow loading etc try this good old MS FS X

Takes longer to load than to prepare, cook, eat, and clean up after a 5 course meal.

Controls easy to learn. Good weather choices. Crisp details.

Robust FS that runs on less powerful machines (via Steam). I got myself a simple Logitech flight stick, and the whole thing costs maybe $100US. Great deal.
