This is the definitive version of this classic. I played the original way back in the 90s but I could never beat it. NNT is the same charming adventure but with numerous quality of life improvements which meant I was finally able to beat it, 28 years later. I never knew I loved this game so much. Principally, it has more frequent checkpoints and optional quicksave for those sections you just can't beat in one go. It also has much smoother movement and things like being able to command all the Mudokons on a screen at once instead of one by one. It is still hard, but it's a lot more fair now. The graphics are beautiful and the cutscenes are all remade faithfully. Unfortunately it was a huge pain to get working in 2025 on Windows 11. The whole game didn't start until I installed the Microsoft VC Resist 2010 package. And then I had to manually configure the game controllers. On the plus side, it does actually run well on Steam Deck.

A Brilliant Reimagining of a Classic! Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is everything a remake should be. It beautifully revives the charm and challenge of the original Abe’s Oddysee with updated visuals, smoother controls, and a deeply immersive atmosphere. The world feels alive and eerie, with a perfect blend of dark humor and emotional storytelling. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to Oddworld, this game delivers a rewarding, nostalgic, and at times nerve-wracking experience. A true testament to how remakes should be done—respectful to the original but bold enough to improve upon it.

I like it very much. I think the controlls are a bit better in the Ps2 versions, but its ok.
