there's not much i can say that hasn't already been said, but this game is a masterpiece. and its not even done yet. i think the thing that really exemplifies everything this game is great at is the boss level of act 5. i found myself replaying it over and over again, trying and failing to perfect it, but continually going "one more time" after every attempt. also, i think rhythm doctor has irreparably changed my brain when listening to music? i find myself constantly trying to follow the rhythm of songs, tapping my finger/foot/head on the 7th/2nd beat, imagining playing rhythm doctor to the song. so, y'know. its probably a good game, to have stuck with me in that way. also i really like 5-2N. just. making that known. oh, also, also!!! music good. like, really good. it has had the capacity to give me straight up chills multiple times. usually that's my metric for whether or not a song is good. (notable sections include the latter part of 3-X and the last vocal part of 5-X). and even beyond that, there are several songs that i so desperately want to put on my spotify playlist, but cant, only because the soundtrack isn't available on spotify. greatest tragedy in the world, by the way. in summary: video game good. play video game. please. unless you have epilepsy. flashing lights and colors is a very big aspect of this game. sorry. genuinely.

The act 2 boss battle was such a unique experience, I think it's worth playing just for that level tbh

An Immersive and Fun Rhythm Game Experience! With vibrant visuals (who doesn't like pixel art?), catchy music, and intuitive gameplay, it's easy to get hooked from the very first level. The game strikes a perfect balance between accessibility and challenge. It's a must buy :)!

One of the most inventive and fun rhythm games I have ever played. Rhythm heaven ds was the gateway to stuff like this. it tutorialises well and gets really difficult at times, but it never feels impossible. Also the story is like way more engaging and good than it has any right to be for a rhythm game lol. I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Holy shit. The music is insane. I've only been playing for less than an hour and I know I'm about to be obsessed for the next month, if it even takes me that long to finish... I might be done sooner LOL. I saw my friend play this and instantly bought- best $15 spent. Rhythm games are my biggest weakness (spoken from a recovered pjsk addict) 11/10. S++.

One button, that's all it takes to question your entire sense of timing. It's brutal. It's beautiful. It wants to hurt you while trying to save others. And youll thank it for that. I usually consider D's a passing grade but this game doesnt have the same mentality. 11/10. Lesson Learned. https://youtu.be/Vr-aC5rmOVY?si=Y1Y_5to3vncjoTLQ

I'm very quick to praise complex and emotional storytelling, masterfully intricate visuals, and so on when experiencing any sort of media, but despite thinking that this game has none of that, I still enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. My abilities as a musician may bias how I experienced the game in that I rarely failed a level and made it through the game quite easily, which I doubt is representative of most people's experiences, but I maintain that this game is simply well-made. The music is not only entertaining in itself, but is molded so appropriately to compliment the game's mechanics—never mind that the ways this game communicates its mechanics to the player are novel and creative on their own. Even outside of the mechanics, things are always happening that are new, or funny, or unexpected, and it just made for a charmingly enjoyable experience. Rhythm Doctor is a great reminder of the reason why we make and play games.

I never leave reviews for games, but this is actually a gem find. This game rocks. The end of the second act was genuinely one of the coolest things I've had a game do.

The best rhythm game around? I got into Rhythm games with Rhythm Heaven/Paradise on Nintendo consoles and thought I'd try this one out. I've never considered myself to have rhythm but could just about muddle through Rhythm Heaven. Level 1 of Rhythm Doctor already introduces the off-beat so it starts off serious! I've now completed the game and S-Ranked most of the levels, just a few tricky night ones remaining and I must say I loved it all! Most levels introduce a new concept but they all work seamlessly with all the other concepts your single button is expected to perform! By the end of the game you're stringing together combinations of beats almost subconsciously in response to various audio cues (and yes, visual cues too but the levels can be played with your eyes closed once you know the cues - indeed this can help on harder levels). You'll be mastering polyrhythms, 7/8th time, variable tempo etc. The songs are generally really good. Some of the vocals aren't potentially what you'd expect from a fully professional level but it is all very good and does give a realistic feel to the patients and doctors singing. Not all songs are of genres to my taste but some of the best ones feel absolutely sublime to play. Level 5-1 is the pinnacle of any rhythm game ever in my opinion. The story is interesting enough to be the bit between levels but its not what you're here for. The characters are charming enough but it's hard to become too attached, perhaps with the exception of chapter 5. I really hope there's a Chapter 6 and fairly soon but I don't know how they'll top 5. Great game.

The pacing of this game is quite off, and the low-resolution graphics don't fit right for it. The plot is very artificial, though at least there are moments of humor. I'm surprised this game is by the same studio that made A Dance of Fire and Ice, because ADOFAI is a far better game, and yet this game was made second.

its amazing the amount of absolute nonsense you can get away with when the game only uses a single button deceptively simple and sometimes simply deceptive rhythm game the main story can be beaten in one sitting if you're good at the game and it does a very good job of introducing and building on new mechanics im also legally required to like the game because Saturday Tasogare and Allison Allister from vivid/stasis are in the game
