To be honest, I don't know exactly why this game is so damn good. I could say the weapons, which are all unique and fun to use. I could say the story, which is surprisingly engaging and convincing. I could say the environments, which are all beautiful in different ways. I could say the enemies, which are unlike any I have faced in VR before. I could say the music, which fits the game so well. But that wouldn't cover it. There's something else to this game. Something unexplainable. Just a sort of... vibe, really. Separately, the components are impressive. But put them together, and it just creates the most unique yet satisfying VR experience I've ever had. You absolutely must buy this game. I don't even care if it's not on sale. Honestly, I would pay more than $30 if I had to.

This is a funny, old-school shooter with a ton of secrets and references. The enemies and weapons are very ingeniously designed. It's everything good about Vertigo Remastered, multiplied by three. The only thing that wasn't improved is the music, which was already a perfect ten. Play both games — you'll have fun!

Gunplay is good, but AI enemies and combat is not interesting or fun, and is implemented quite badly. Looks like it otherwise could be a bit of fun, particular if you're after a story mode kind of experience. For reference, it's nowhere near the calibre of Half Life Alyx.

I don't know, I think this just is my all-time favorite VR-game. Even though it has so, so much jank and some truly moronic sections sometimes, I just can't help but love it. I don't know how I'm always so excited to continue on even after some of the most horrible, stretched out, buggiest, most unfair sections I've ever gone through, it's like there's some force pulling me back every time I feel like leaving, even after beating the game numerous times. The set-pieces, the weapons, characters, creatures, the encyclopedia, the worldbuilding, the storytelling, the sheer ambition and confidence of it all, it just oozes passion like nothing else. I'll probably never get tired of this game. For one man to have made all this, it's truly insanity.

Vertigo 2 is one of the best VR games that I have ever played. The story, the gameplay, and the map design were all pretty good. If you like the Half-Life series, you will definitely gonna like this game
