This game had me on the edge of my seat, especially towards the end. I thought it was very well written and engendered a lot of emotions, like sadness or shock, or even happiness. Many choices in this game were difficult to make, but I enjoyed that specific mechanic of the game, where each and every decision affects the outcome of the story. I thought the characters were well developed, especially Chloe. She was a very complex and emotional character, but proves to be a true friend. My biggest critique for this game is that I think they could've fleshed out Max more. While she does have emotional range and proves to be a loyal friend to the people she cares about, I think we could've been provided more about her background, whether it's her relationship with her parents or some exposition for her in the story. All we really know about her is that Chloe is her childhood friend whom she cares deeply about and likes photography. She has a strong moral compass, but to me she seemed like a flat character.
I even feel that Victoria Chase has more emotional depth, given her redemption arc at the end of the story and her low self esteem, which is revealed later on, which made her an even more relatable and slightly more likable character.
Despite this, however, I found the story to be very unique and very enjoyable. The amount of plot twists had me in shock, and I thought they were very well done. I loved the style of the game, and I found the voice acting to be very well done. This will probably be one of my favorite games ever, and I'm really excited to play the prequel and find out more about Chloe's past.

I absolutely loved Life Is Strange! I watched multiple people play it on YouTube years back, and I finally played it myself. The story is so rich, and even though I remembered most choices, I still had fun playing it my way! 10/10 Would recommend to anyone who might enjoy a great story-based game.

Life is Strange is emotional storytelling at its finest. Every choice matters, the characters feel real, and the game hits deep with themes of love, loss, and identity. It’s not just a game—it’s an experience that stays with you.

6.5 years after finishing the game, I finished it again here. And damn, this story and this gameplay are still amazing.

Life is Strange is wonderful game in every way imaginable, but buy the original release if you can. I only have the remastered version because it was on sale and all I could afford. The original game looks better and has less bugs than the remaster.

Quality wise, then it is better than the original. It still has the same charm and no gameplay is different. i think if you like mystery and a story based game, this is the game for you

Absolutely a must if you like cornball cheesy teen drama story games that get really really dark really really fast. Threw me for a loop. Made me feel nostalgic for the cringy millennial teen days of the 2010s, along with all the other emotions. All of that with a banger of a soundtrack, too. Choices really matter and there's so many "sub-optimal" ways to go about the key moments in the game but hey, it's almost like we're all humans and make mistakes anyways right? It had so many beautiful moments and so many horrifying ones that I just had to carry thru and see to the end. They were almost shocking even. The story felt like it could tie into Remedy's Control universe too as an AWE... neat. I dealt with the stupid game breaking glitch via a Reddit thread that talks you thru a specific sequence and was able to complete the game.

Lifechanging series and great to replay to experiment with other choices. Honestly such a timeless game I regret not playing it sooner. also whoever designed the soundtrack needs a raise, this and before the storm have taken over my playlists.

Absolute classic. Although the remaster has some audio issues the updated graphics are good. But the story still holds up 10 years later. The characters, the world, the music. All masterclass. Don't Nod one of the best studios to do it.

I went into this game blindfolded, I had no idea what to expect... All I can say is that I absolutely loved it! the story, the music, the vibes. I have no words to describe how much this game marked me, it was simply a masterpiece. "I'm so glad you're my partner in time. As long as your my partner in crime."

Game is a faithful remaster of the original, and immediately the richer colours make the game much more visually appealing and engaging than the 2015 version. The original will always be one of my favourite games but this one will be the version I play moving forward

I remember being 18 when this game came out. I though that I am too old for this game then - seeing all the "childish" high school drama that's happening at Blackwell Academy. Now I am 30, and I enjoyed it very much. It reminded me of a time when life was simpler, when your emotions were more vivid, when the future is both unknown and unpredictable and it makes you excited and a bit scared at the same time. Lots of love was put into writing this game; both in the characters and dialog. The last 2 episodes had me on the edge of my seat, which is a rare occasion. I strongly recommend to play this game to anyone who loves Quantic Dream's and Telltale's games. I am about to go play everything else by Don't Nod.

I'm bisexual and can't reverse time, unfortunately. Haven't played much of the remaster- obviously, or rather on steam in general, but this was one of my favorite games when I was younger, though I never talk about it much with people unless it's brought up, which sucks because of how emotionally powerful the story is (especially with the soundtrack) and this game really shines on my poor decision making.

I played this before I switched to PC, this is the game that got me into photography and Polaroids. This game has really inspired a lot for me and my life. This game is truly a piece of art too. There will never be another game like this in the series but I love them all.

my favorite game ever in the world. i own comic books, fan books, every single game on ps5 (except double exposure fuck you) and the remastered collection here. this game is so damn good. the choices you make define the story, make you think hard on your decisions, and makes you attached to the characters to the point where you will most likely cry at the end of the story. if i could rewind like max, and replay the series, i would do it in a heartbeat. thank you life is strange, youre hella amazing

Amazing game, enjoyed it when it was first out on the PS4, and replayed recently. Still holds up as the OG LiS! If you have managed to avoid spoilers, it is best played without spoilers, so keep up the good work. should be easier now that it's been out a while. Enjoy the game, the story, and the art style.

Other than a slight graphical improvement the remaster changes virtually nothing from the base game. It is still a really good game, but you'd be better off just playing the original. Its probably cheaper anyway.

Such a beautifully emotional and thought provoking game. You can see the love and care they put into crafting such a unique story with believable characters that the player gets attached to. Made me cry on several occasions. Heavily recommended!

So, after 9 years since I played the original, I can still confidently say that this is the best game I've ever played in terms of Plot or the Story. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I'm not the same person after playing LIS, it changed me, it changer the way I think, feel, and react. this game will always have a special place in my heart. now when it comes to the Remaster, I feel very disappointed TBH, this is because I really love this game and I'll always be happy to have a more modern and updated way to experience this game, weather it's me or someone else, but this Remaster didn't meet my expectations, the Graphics are barely touched in most scenes, the cutscenes quality is like 480p for some reason, the lip-sync is so bad and noticeable, and finally even though the lighting is much better in some scenes, unfortunately it's far worse in others. so to conclude, I Highly Recommend playing the O.G L.I.S if you haven't yet, it's a must-play, do not spend more money on this remaster. 8/10.

Several times per episode, the player can just sit down indefinitely. Take in the music. Ponder the sky. Reflect on the chaos. And somehow it always feels like the proper move. For players hoping for action, this sort of pacing is likely excruciating. But its saunter is right in step with an introspective-teenager-dragged-into-surreal-detective story by way of walking simulator. The Square Enix credit on a purely narrative experience was initially troubling. Typical JRPG plot schlock without the gameplay wouldn't hold up for long. But the dialogue and design is nearly indistinguishable from something you'd see on early 2000s American television. It doesn't have the artistry or the bravery of Twin Peaks, which is clearly an inspiration, but it's right on par in tone and craft with, say, Veronica Mars. I never played the original version, but this Remastered edition has the visual and musical chops to do justice to a tale of music-obsessed art students. Some of the writing tiptoes around cringe. A protagonist named Caulfield is a bold choice. The urge for characters to name all of their favorite influences plays like clout-chasing name-dropping. Multiple characters phase in and out of the Manic Pixie Dream Girl trope, but they end up fleshed out and amply imperfect to shed the trope. There's, of course, the drama and the acceptable melodrama, but it's all penned with enough care that the groans are minimal, and the hundreds of descriptions of knickknacks, posters, and trimmings in the world of Arcadia Bay aren't just for obsessive perfectionists, but the rest of the audience deeply invested in the multifaceted characters and underlying mysteries.

One of my all time favorite story based games. Dark, gritty, and some truly impossible choices to make. All the side characters are great, great story. My only two gripes are one bugged section in Episode 4 which I had to find a guide online to fix the bug, the other being that this remaster didn't truly feel like an upgrade over the original. The face movements and lip syncing was much better but the characters look much worse, looking more like Sims. I'd expect a remaster to actually upgrade the graphics. The graphics do look better in dark scenes but during most of the games some surfaces look muddy.

~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~ Hello! You are about to waste money. If you have ever played the original Life Is Strange, (even the free episode 1) DO NOT BUY THIS!! I repeat, DO NOT BUY THIS!! The 'updating quality' this remaster has made, is depressing. The visuals of this game are absolute dog s***. This game has lost it's charm. Don't let the 'overwhelmingly positive' fool you. It sucks. It's a waste. Just buy the original version. ALSO, my game IS PERMANENTLY LOCKED in Japanese. I don't know if that's a steam file problem, because I looked up how to change it in game, and it was NOT an option. ~~DO NOT PURCHASE~~
