It starts very slow and almost boring, but once beaten the fiirst area it has a lot to it - Crazy builds to find - Endless skill and item combinations - Cool and interesting game modes - Solid art-style Perfect for some laid back evening plays Only con is no coop Gives you the "We got POE at home" vibes - but in a good way Sparks a similar feeling to warframe actually (Solid Core-Loop matched with some worthy grind)

Early in but such a huge fan of the flexibility in the skill system, quality of combat and overall more engaging feel of the gameplay.

Just bought it and had 7 hours in 1 sitting. Extremely fun with lots of systems to enjoy. Enough variety in enemies and light hearted dialogue. Highly recommend it!

I want to start by saying I am an APRG veteran. I've played PoE 1 for over a decade, Last Epoch, Torchlight, and PoE 2. I've got my eyes set on "No rest for the Wicked" next, and decided to give "Slormancer" a try while I wait for a good sale. I am currently 76hrs deep, finding myself feeling neutral about game, and this is another time where I wish Steam had a mixed-review option to accurately reflect my feedback. Slormancer has a lot of charm and it is fun to play, but there is nothing to do EXCEPT grind. I know... ARPG's are for grinding. You kill, get loot, kill bigger stuff, get bigger loot. So here's what I mean... and I will describe many of these aspects with PoE terms in parentheses. This game has exactly 1 mechanic, called Breach (Clearly PoE inspired.) You step on the circle, monsters pop out, you kill them, the breach closes. There's 3 different sizes, which determine the power and frequency of monsters. Once you've completed enough breaches, a portal opens to a new area and you do it again. That's it. Periodically there's a mini-boss that will pop up, you smoke it, and go back to breaching. This game also has a crafting system, but everything is deterministic eventually. You can freely reroll (Chaos), lock stats, improve the stat range (Divine), and enhance each and every piece of gear until you have perfect gear. This is Including the level, so if you get a nice piece of gear early in the game, you can level correct it to your current level and keep it. You can also turn it into a legendary (effectively chancing) and reroll the legendary effect if you don't like it (Ancient orbs). Don't even have to find a new piece. Of course there are costs for these options, and while this is an exceptional quality of life, it also means there's no thrill to the loot. You don't get the dopamine hit of finding something cool for your build, everything is just a 'block of clay' that can be shaped into whatever you need, as you need it. There are 120 different weapons for each of the 3 characters, which have to be leveled, evolved, and have their primordial power unlocked. This is completed by just plowing through monsters. The weapons are found randomly from Breaches, not regular monster drops. These weapons all have various effects with fixed stat ranges, and will serve as the centerpiece of your build. You can swap them freely, even in an instance and any weapons you unlock on one character can be 'reconstructed' on another one, so you don't have find all 120 on every character. You can also swap characters at any time, but you do have to level them independently. And then there's a few game modes, The forge, which is a tower with 100 waves and you choose how dangerous the next X amount of waves will be based on the rewards offered (The Simulacrum). There's a Pure Slorm temple which is another tower, but with a fixed amount of waves per floor. The whole floor is just Breach with a timer, but idk how you'd even fail this. Any mediocre build can just plow through these floors. It's not challenging, or engaging. Just the same room, over and over with 5-10 quick waves of monsters and then the floor is cleared. Every 10 floors rewards you with an Ultimatum (which is more like a trinket from Heist or the relics from Sanctum) but it gives you a bonus stat that can only be scaled by enhancing the Ultimatum, and all other sources do not affect your character, positive or negative. So for example the Movement speed ultimatum means you don't need speed boots or speed rolls in your tree, because they will not add together, but it also means you can't be slowed cause the Ultimatum has your movement speed fixed. And that's about it... There is a lot of build diversity, because there's 120 weapons, but there is not enough to do to make me want to try 120 weapons. You breach until you boss, then you Forge to target farm specific items, and then go back to breaching. The final boss of the game is buried behind an absolute slog of breaching. And I will say, the pacing and power curve, need some correction. You will feel TOO strong, until suddenly you are TOO weak. There are massive walls in progression (I'm looking at you Adam and Ohm Agad), and I would have appreciated more rewarding thresholds while trying to surmount those challenges. Lastly, I think this game has a lot of potential. I imagine the studio has plans to add more stuff in the future, but this game is truly a skeleton in it's 1.0 state. I do not expect this game to be PoE, or Last Epoch, but a singular mechanic is just not entertaining enough for the number of hours they may 'expect' someone to play this. I certainly wouldn't expect a single player game to be an RNGfest, but a little RNG makes things exciting and adds to the chase. I will not talk about the story or game balance, because it doesn't matter. No one plays ARPGs for their story, but if you want a good laugh it's in here. Balance doesn't matter either because there will always be something that's dominant, and you can choose to play something like that or just freestyle it. The game is structured in a way where you can play whatever you want, it will work for the most part. I would like to see a BGM selection at some point in the future. The music in this game is really cool but I have a couple tracks I'd prefer not to listen too. And I think I'll close by saying, if you're just down to smash through endless hordes of monsters and make a 'perfect' build, you can do that here. But be aware, there is no variety in how you'll approach this task. You will be breaching until your eyeballs fall out. If you read to this point, you will see I am continuing to play and that's because I always make a good attempt to finish what I start, but I currently don't recommend this experience as a whole. If you're one of those sociopathic grinders, I probably already said what you wanted to hear, so have fun!

Very fun, Path of Exile meets 2d pixel graphics. Love the built in loot filters which are better than any other ARPG out of the box. You don't need to go download some 3rd party mod that has been fan developed for 15 years. Pick your items you don't want to see, and the game automatically transmutes them into gold or crafting materials. Crafting materials automatically pick up and go to a crafting specific inventory page.

Wow...is the best way to start this review. If you like ARPGs then this is absolutely worth a try for you. The game was built ground up with the gamer in mind. No false gating mechanics that help boost quarterly reports for investors, just straight fun gameplay with the flexibility to play how you want to. Want to spec skills, talents, change classes, gear? No problem! No artificial time gates or exorbitant gold costs, just do it whenever you want...for free! Nearly 50 hours in and I've only begun to scratch the surface in the end game. Highly recommend for any ARPG fan.

Incredible experience, you can feel the dopamine while killing monsters and at the same time enjoy the soundtrack. The game progression is very good and the item progression is not punitive at all. Highly recommended!

Is it nice? Yes. Does it scratch that i-don't-want-to-deal-with-poe-skill-tree itch? Yes. Does the endgame suck? Also yes. Reached the endgame with one character in around 6ish hours after finding a good-ish build. Then realized I would need to endlessly farm battlefield, forge, temple just to maximize the build. Tried Adamus...heh, yeah no. The explanations of some systems is a little lacking. In my opinion the whole Inner Fire/Ancient Strike/Overdrive system is too much. Pick one... It's not a bad game but it could be much better, at least for me...

Buy this game. It is like either a fine wine or a good batch of drugs. Either way, this game is an unskippable ARPG that is fun for a veteran and also alot of fun for someone new to the genre in our household. The Slormancer > Most if not all other games in terms of raw fun (14 hours played in just over 1 day of owning it). Thanks!

This game is so good that I literally credit it with breaking my path of exile addiction. This is what ARPGs can be. Fast, cool loot, generous crafting. The things that could be improved are difficulty. The game has about ~20 hours worth of challenge, and as much grindy fun as you want.

Nice ARPG, ~10h of playtime to finish campaign with a single character. Not a lot of enemies/locations variety and becomes very grindy after campaign is done. Still good though.

Yup, really liking this. Has a ton of the great features that have slowly been created in the other big-name loot-ARPG's, but doesn't make it feel like having a second job. Is there still farming/grinding? Sure -- but what I mean is, there aren't time-gated things, and live events with timer expirations, and weekly events, and... all of the other FOMO things that make you feel like you have to be logged in doing things all the time. One of the things I love most about this genre is trying out new builds constantly to see what it feels like; this game is extremely generous in allowing you to change anything, anytime, with no cost or penalty. A gem.

It's amazing. There's a ridiculous amount of ways to customize both defense and offense, it's especially fun that they often lean on each other. Stacking health to have absurd damage, reserving health and making your mana take almost all the damage and gaining damage from the reserved health. Stacking evasion until you literally can't be hit and just reserving all your health since who cares. You can even have 1 health and generate shields as your only source of defense. My only gripe is that it takes a while before you can string proper legendaries together, you have to get to the last chapter and then reach level 75 and beat a boss, this allows you to target farm specific legendaries by challenging end game bosses in a variety of different maps, leading to the end game boss. Even before then the game is fun, there's a ton to play around with and learn.

Diablo 2.5 with 16bit graphics is the best way to describe this game. Very fun gameplay, seems simple at first but the depth starts to expand more and more once you beat the campaign. I enjoyed the Mage class alot, and the loot is good enough to have an addictive loop that keeps you wanting to play. Endgame loop is not too bad, but for the price I was not expecting to put so many hours into this game and if you love ARPG's like me, you will probably enjoy this game too!

Had low expectations because Chronicon never hit with me. But this is pretty great so far. But as of writing, this is the first game where font size is truly way too small on Deck. But that appears to be coming soon with a patch!

Tough recommend. The game has a lot of strong, well thought out mechanics and systems that could easily rival some other bigger budget ARPG names like Diablo and POE. The crafting system is great, as is the skill tree and leveling customizations you can do. There are possibly more viable builds in this game than the last six seasons of Diablo 4 combined. Graphically it's just really well done and takes me back to my 16 bit roots. I almost want to call this a JARPG but I'll hold that card. The game has a ton of personality, charm, and you can really tell that someone put a lot of themselves into this game and for that, I'll tip my hat to thumbs up. Now let's talk about the problems... This game is a GRIND man. This might be the grindiest game since I played Albion Online. I mean, holy hell you can't even finish the story without roughly 15-20h of completing some guys checklist (running the same 'Battlefields' over and over and over). And I know to a degree ARPGs are like that but this ones feels different. The maps are small, the sprites (enemies) are frequently reused. Enemies are pretty table steak with a few rare exceptions. Modifiers seem limited to some random map inconveniences like lighting strikes and frozen bombs. It just gets old incredibly fast. I'm speaking mostly to 'end game' here. The story mode leading up to this is fine, albeit painfully easy, and lasts about 15h. I flew through it as mage using a giant black hole to suck everything in then pop them with rifts. That's the other problem, you really only have two abilities. Yes, you can customize them, but all you're doing is left/right click. There are some support abilities but you can't do anything to them to empower them or reduce their CD so they're just kinda like gadgets on Batman's belt. Chuck one out, wait, do it again if you need to. All in all it's a solid game, a really strong entry into a very saturated and taboo space (ARPGs). I think the game leaned a little too heavily into its 'cuteness' and couldn't find an identity. On the one hand, it has some insanely strong skill trees, builds, customizations, and weapons systems that, frankly, are better than they should be. But then...its all tucked nice and snug behind cute pixel graphics, quaint music, lovably goofy writing, and generic trite enemies...yea i'm looking at you completely plain skeleton sprite. If it had taken a darker turn and leaned into its ARPG roots ("FRESH MEAT!") I think it would have come together better. What we get isn't BAD, it's just very grindy and less than it could have been.

Extremely fun, creative game. Allows for many different builds and doesn't feel overwhelming. I find myself actually interested in trying new things in my build because it's free to respec. QoL aspects save a lot of time (e.g., auto transmute to gold/fragments). As someone who doesn't play too often, I find myself spending hours playing Slormancer. Great game and I really hope it gets more attention - the devs deserve it!

Great ARPG. If the dev/devs invest into the game, I believe it has a lot of potential. Pros: * Originality * Funny story: it's simple but a good addition to the game. * The different game modes are actually all entertaining and purposeful * Build variety: there are lots of things you can make that work, both for damage and defense. * Challenging: The cataclysms keep the game challenging even with really strong builds. * Lots to do * Target farming: The game offers ways of target farming that work but don't make it trivial. * Deterministic crafting: Similar to the above, you can craft virtually anything you need/want but crafting doesn't become trivial. Cons: * Lots of farming * Limited maps: 5 or so maps, 1 tower, 1 forge. * 2D? Not for everyone. * 2 very good boss fights, but other that's it.

Honestly could not have asked for more out of a pixel art, cheap ARPG. Fun builds that start to feel real powerful as you progress into end game. Yes it is grindy but that's sort of the point. Kept me entertained for hours and counting. Thank you!

I've slept on this one for a long time, I kept seeing it in the store, but passing on it because I didn't like the "look" of it. I was feeling bored over the weekend so thought I would finally give it a try and damn have I been missing out. This is pretty much exactly what I wanted in an ARPG. You can tell from my playtime (at the time of writing this) that I'm not super far into the game, I'm just approaching the end of the story, but I'm already amazed that pretty much every build I have tried has worked to some degree. I've pretty much just been changing build each time I got a fun sounding legendary so I could try out a load of different ideas before I get into the harder content, and it's going to be hard to choose what to actually go for when I do need to actually make a decision. The respec'ing in this is great, you can take all of the "slorm" (basically skill points) that you've put into your skills back out at any time and just move them straight into a different skill, and the slorm gets used across multiple different systems for powering up, so it allows for a lot of experimentation. I've only touched on the gear crafting a little bit so far, but it seems pretty friendly, it doesn't seem like I'm going to brick my items if I get a bad outcome (as long as I have enough materials to keep crafting). And has some pretty cool options to increase the rarity and level of an item, so when you do get that god roll you can keep leveling it up with you. I think the only negative thing I could say about this so far is that it's singleplayer only. But let's be real, you play singleplayer 95% of the time in ARPGs anyway right? I'll update this many hours later if I remember, or if something changes about my opinions, but obviously you can see how many more hours I've played since writing this :P

I wish there was a meh button for this one. I'm going to give it a thumbs up but only because there are only two choices and the game at least works. It's just too basic for me. I hope the developers keep at it though because this isn't a horrible game. I've just been gaming for a long time and have seen this kind of thing before. This is a decent mash up of Diablo and Smash TV. I have minor gripes with the thumb stick controlled cursor for the menus, the toon moves too fast on the screen relative to the surroundings, and it can't seem to decide if it wants to be a hack and slash or a twin stick shooter making the auto targeting spotty. I at least got my $20 worth of entertainment from it.

Randomly saw this pop up in the steam newly released page. Scammed my friend into buying it since I know he likes these kind of games. Watched him play it for like a week before I caved and bought it myself. Pretty fun in short bursts if you like grindy ARPGs. There are many options to make skill builds but not nearly as many as the systems would lead you to believe. The pixel art is appealing and the story is quirky, minimal, and doesn't take itself too seriously. Once you reach endgame it can get a bit old after a while, however, so you'll have to keep yourself going with grinding levels, gear, skills, other characters, etc. Really wish it had some sort of multiplayer functionality.

The Slormancer is a compelling action RPG that successfully blends classic hack-and-slash mechanics with modern design sensibilities, delivering a richly rewarding experience for fans of dungeon crawlers and loot-driven gameplay. Developed by Slormite Studios, this indie title channels the spirit of genre giants like Diablo and Path of Exile while carving out its own identity through deep customization options, a vibrant pixel-art aesthetic, and a sprawling world teeming with secrets. Right from the outset, The Slormancer hooks players with its fast-paced combat and the thrill of discovering powerful gear and unique skills, making every run feel fresh and engaging. At its core, the game offers a robust skill tree system that allows players to tailor their character’s abilities across multiple classes, each with distinctive playstyles. Whether you prefer unleashing devastating elemental magic, wielding swift melee attacks, or summoning minions to fight alongside you, the depth of customization ensures that no two builds play alike. Combat is fluid and satisfying, with responsive controls that emphasize both strategic planning and reflexes. The game encourages experimentation, rewarding players who explore synergies between skills, equipment, and passive bonuses. The world of The Slormancer is expansive and beautifully rendered in detailed pixel art, combining atmospheric dungeons, vibrant towns, and mysterious outdoor zones. Each environment is packed with enemies, challenging bosses, and hidden lore, creating an immersive backdrop for the game’s overarching narrative. The story itself unfolds gradually through quests and character interactions, balancing dark fantasy themes with moments of humor and charm that give the world personality. Loot is abundant and varied, with an impressive array of weapons, armor, and artifacts to collect. The itemization system is deep, featuring randomized stats and special effects that constantly keep players hunting for upgrades. Crafting and enchanting systems add additional layers of progression, allowing you to enhance gear and create powerful combinations that suit your playstyle. This focus on loot-driven advancement makes every dungeon run feel meaningful, as the promise of better equipment always looms. Multiplayer support enhances replayability, offering cooperative gameplay that allows friends to team up and tackle the game’s toughest challenges together. The social aspect complements the solo experience well, providing an additional layer of strategy and camaraderie. While The Slormancer is polished and content-rich, newcomers might find the initially steep learning curve a bit daunting, especially when faced with the complexity of skill trees and gear management. However, comprehensive tutorials and a gradually unfolding difficulty curve help ease players into the mechanics. In conclusion, The Slormancer stands out as a meticulously crafted action RPG that balances depth, challenge, and accessibility. Its engaging combat, extensive customization, and vibrant pixel-art world combine to create a satisfying adventure for fans of dungeon crawling and loot collecting. Whether you’re diving into sprawling dungeons solo or teaming up with friends, The Slormancer offers countless hours of addictive gameplay with plenty of surprises along the way. Rating: 8/10

I never write reviews but I just feel like this deserves one. I haven't played it for hundreds/thousands of hours like some other Iso ARPG's and I'm not sure if I'll play any more after this, as I believe the development has pretty much ended... HOWEVER, hour for hour, minute for minute, this is the best 100 hours I have had in the genre. It makes me kind of miss ARPG's from a time before 'Games as a service.' The gameplay is tight, engaging, deep and consistently rewarding. I would love more content, classes, skills and abilities etc, but what is there is outstanding and there is PLENTY there.

honeymoon phase placeholder: this game throws you right into the action with brief but well written dialogue which i can appreciate. it seems like mostly a tutorial until you unlock most of the facilities and start exploring the systems of the game. i felt powerful pretty early on because the game lets you respec anything at anytime for free so i could tailor my skills to whatever type of gear i found. i love that all the class skills you unlock have different bonuses to them with different tiers to make the skill conform to how you want it to act. i was blown away in my first 4 hours with joy, all the while with a complete lack of understanding of all the systems in the game but also without missing that sense of waiting for endgame to start enjoying myself. seems like a game that has the fun dispersed through the whole experience, compared to diablo where the "fun" dosent start till max level, or poe where knowledge seems to me to be how much you enjoy the game. (not that im complaining about poe, i think that is a marvelous arpg). i will update my review when i beat the game which i will defitley do for the sole reason of the main villains name which was brilliant imho. be back soon.

The devs had their priorities straight. The build variety seems insane but the game has some UI issues. Just the skill mastery system would be sufficient build variety, but there's an entire skill tree I haven't even touched yet. The grind to unlock it all seems a bit long, in-line with other reviews. The UI issues are several. The levelup animation is intrusive and covers the entire screen. The overlay map is not transparent enough. Button prompts are hard to read and I cannot tell the difference between C, F and LMB. Controller support is also not fully implemented since your character glitches out when moving due to the lack of a mouse pointer and you cannot read certain tooltips because you cannot hover over them.

Do you have on-going projects? Are you quite busy these days? Do you have a healthy social life? if your answer is "yes" to any of these, DOT NOT BUY!!! This game will make you procrastinate like crazy. In just 2 days, I got 19h of game-time which is a feat I wont ever be proud of. Killing stuff flows well and is satisfying, creating and theory crafting your build is fun, the music is good and quite original, the grinding is encouraging and motivating, the story is "meh" but short and well written with good touch of humor so still worth a read, and the gear upgrade/reforge system is probably the best I've ever seen in any game. You can customize your loot from A to Z by rerolling any stats, adding stats and special effect and even reroll unique legendary effects. If you love ARPGs, this little indie game is a must buy.

Do you like a chill grinding game to play while crushing beers (or not, but would be a lot cooler if you did)? If so, this game is for you. I wish I could wholeheartedly recommend the game. It seems fun... BUT... I can't really play it... 9/10 times it doesn't open in full screen and I can't click on any buttons. I tried some things in hope I can fix it with no luck, I even send an email to the devs but so far I got nothing and I kinda left it alone... I was excited about it but now idk. so PRO: it looks nice, has cute story and it feels good when you want to chill and kill maaaaaany enemies. :D; the music is awesome - very catchy and surprisingly fun. and CON: it doesn't run ok (for me at least - and yeah, I have a good system); it also feels a bit slow in the beginning, kinda too easy for a long time, I wish it scaled faster; It gets repetitive fast but it's ok if you want the brainless fight Edit: What I forgot to add is that I feel like the game is made by people that care about what they made, and about the craft and means a lot to me and it shows in many aspects of the game and even if it's not perfect it's awesome and I love playing it.

Great aRPG game overall. Lots of customization and ways to "break" the game with the right combinations. There are 4 main endgame activities, 2 of them are pretty much the same, but one is a harder later game progression, they are similar to poe maps, diablo dungeons and LE monos. The third mode is pretty much a diablo timed pits, and the last one is wave based activity, like diablo infernal hordes. Be wary though, the game gets REALLY grindy, if you want to finish all the quests and get to the last boss, the amount of grind you'll have to go through to just get to the final boss is really long (Just for perspective, I am at 50h and I am about a few dozens maps away from the final boss). I would still recommend the game since the grind might appeal to some people.

I don't review very often but this game deserves one. I love it. The pixel art is nostalgic but the gameplay is deep. The music is awesome and the animations are fantastic. 10/10 on my list. I do wish it had some sort of multiplayer. Not like open world but something simple like a friend can join and it just doubles the enemies and loot drops.

This game nails progression (incl. at early stages), but game format can get old fast.
Progression(9.5/10)

High variety of effective builds. It's not often I find an RPG where thorn build is viable early on. There's also lots of traditional effect/skill-based ones.
UNLOCKABLE weapons with unique effects. You start with basic damage weapons. You can get build-focused ones (such as thorn or healing).
Multiple parallel progression systems. Characters (there's 3), skills, weapons level up as you use them. There's your (somewhat) standard aRPG crafting, infinite dungeon with it's own progression, story-linked progression and probably a few more I'm forgetting.
Even early scaling feels great without feeling OP/unearned. A few upgrades can make you one shot enemies that took you 2-3 hits. It takes far more to clear huge hordes.
Switching builds is FREE and can be done anytime, including 1 upgrade at a time. I hope other ARPGs and especially MMOs learn from this.
The only minor negative I encountered is the way information about mechanics is presented. Terms themselves can be confusing and tooltips are scattered all over the place with some having very unintuitive way of activating. Example: Class-specific mechanics like "Arcane Bond". I saw tools to exploit it before I saw the one accessible skill modifier that can apply it. In the same vein there's lots of ambiguous terms that can sound similar while not even being remotely related (e.g. Acenstral Strike, Acenstral Skill, Ancestral retribution).
Core Gameplay
Most of your time in a dungeon is spent running through winding corridors, closing portals. Further in there are bosses, which are mostly more powerul and engaging versions of basic mobs (later there are unique ones). It's a decent template to grind for the sake for progression, but it can get old fast. ESPECIALLY because town has you manually run to vendor/blacksmith/storage to sort through the junk after pretty much every dungeon later on.

Awesome game. Great art. Addicting playthrough. Good variations of build potential. Can't wait for future releases. Played all classes, active discord community.

This game was ok, but just not really my thing. Don't love the art style at all, and early on the enemies just seem very samey. I also hate hate hate the stupid little circle spirit that follows you around. Looks like a cursor and is just distracting and annoying while playing. Some other players even had the gall to tell me it is intentionally distracting and annoying to add difficulty?!? Umm wtf. Just make the enemies harder... Anyway this is a well made game with few bugs and I am sure other people would are into this art style and kind of game would love it. There is nothing awful about the game. But for me it was a marginal purchase and the question is "would I recommend it" and the answer is "no".

Game is very mediocre. Feels like a worse version of Chronicon, which is itself outdated by today's standards. Bought it more than 4 years ago, when it initially released in EA. Waited patiently...

I got the game thinking I'm going to play a rougelike that requires some skill, and it turns out it's almost a cookie-clicker style game that operates on giving you dopmain every second

I bought it because I liked the concept, but the gameplay itself is rather boring.

Fun, fast paced once you get into it. Lots of control on how you want to play and build your character(s). Can be repetitive; so that is where the build variety really helps!

Good game, cool style, decent depth, but will switch my review once the endgame fighting mechanics also have depth and variety (and I'm pretty sure, or at least hope that they are actively working on that). The game is VERY grindy, and VERY repetitive, which in my opinion is quite a bad mix.

I like to play ARPG's with my mouse exclusively, unfortunately, Slormancer has a click to move that is, quite honestly terrible. I have no problems playing with a mouse in Grim Dawn, Diablo, or any number of other ARPG's but I found myself constantly getting stuck on enemies, obstacles or simply my character not doing what I wanted them to do. It might be simply that the game doesn't register *holding* down the mouse button for movement but instead recognizes it as individual clicks. Again, never had a problem with the more mainstream ARPG's with how I use a mouse in these games. The game is fully intended to be played with WASD and a mouse and that simply isn't how I enjoy playing this type of game. If that doesn't bother you then I'm sure you'll have a great time with it.

-Boring and repetitive level design. -prepare to only use 40% of your monitor screen Low fov in top view mean you feel cram in couple with the game only light up in a radius around your character giving the dark border effect like you're always squinting. This kind of design is normally seen as punishment mechanic eg player got hit by blind effect. But this game think it's a good idea to make it a default view with no option to change it.
