Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus®

The amount of new features, enemies and variations of gameplay that Oddworld Inhabitants pushed out in just under one year since the original game is mind blowing. Be warned though, Abe's Exodus is a LOT more challenging than the original Abe's Odyysee. Whilst you have a much broader range of enemies to posses and a motherload of new-found game mechanics (posessing farts of all things) this game takes the "can you rescue all 99 Mudokkons from RuptureFarms? to "can you rescue all 300 Mudokons from the Bonewerkz, Scrabs, Paramites, Flying Sligs, Unarmoured Sligs, Poisonous Gas, Laughing Gas, Suicidal Mudokons" and many many more, to a whole new level! Hours and hours of gameplay are on offer and whether you're a child of the '90s or just checking out a catalogue of recommended games from this era, this is on the top list!

This was the first game I ever played on PlayStation 1. There is no other game like it (except Abe's Odyssee I guess). It is so fun to play as a character who has to sneak past, outrun, and outsmart enemies without directly confronting them. The GameSpeak mechanic is super unique, and there are a ton of fun secret areas that make this game have a ton of replayability.

Nostalgic, brutal, quicksave platformer with pristine, crisp gameplay, excellent sound, art, and world design, and a fun story. Good control of pace as well, with moments spent sneaking and strategizing balanced with heart pounding chases. One of my favorite games ever for a reason.
