Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition

After just less than 50 hrs of playtime, completing the entire story line, breeding the highest rated horse possible with maximum stats, trying every free roam area, and completing all possible races... yeah this game is mint. Good story line, easy to understand and play, achievable goals throughout the game, lots to do and see. My only suggestion would be have more to the free roam. For example, add more actions that you can control such as pawing the ground, rearing, walking (rather than always cantering everywhere), grazing, etc. Even if these actions don't "do" anything, they just add to the realistic feel of the game and allow you to immerse yourself in the world. And please please PLEASE increase the free roam space!! Would rather a bigger map than a new area map.

well don't mind me.. i'm just waiting for my umamusume energy to fill up so i need another horse race game Edit: dang bro the breeding gacha rate in this game is even worse than an actual gacha game, such a feat

The best-looking horse game on PC, with a comprehensive breeding system, diverse breeds, and solid coat customization. However, it retains its mobile roots with repetitive menu-based gameplay, grindy progression, useless timers, and limited character/ranch customization... The vibe just isn't there.

i love the game play and horse interactions. i wish there was a better way to interact with other online players though. there also arent nearly as many breeds as the mobile version and breeding for show jumping is pointless since its not an actual event to play in.

The game is very interesting but many features are missing and it still resembles mobile games.

Love the pc version a lot! for me its way nicer to only pay once for the Game and then never having to buy anything again like coins or other stuff (like you have to do in the mobile version). The story is nothing really new but its still a nice a addition to the game <3

this game has absolutely huge UI, menu, text. after launching it on my pc it took 15 minutes for my head to start hurt from very user-unfriendly interface. i immediately thought "wow, it's like playing a mobile game but on pc". well, after checking, [i]it is a mobile game[/i] that got brought to pc's. and there was simply not enough work done to convert it to big screen. breeding, horse models, animations are fair. atm it's the best horse game on steam. does that mean it's a good game in general? no. it sucks. but i guess they know [b]there are just no other games to choose from when it comes to horse games for adults[/b]. prob that's why it's so insolently overpriced. don't get it for full price. it's cutting almost half in price when there's any steam festival.

This game should not be considered Steam Deck "Verified' at the moment! Text entry doesn't work properly, meaning it is impossible to start a new game because you cannot name your character/save.

It's a good game, but sometimes thew guest get a bit annoying and make me wanna quit the game sometimes, but it's a good game even though the quest are annoying and time-taking sometimes. It's a good game though, it's better than some horse games out there, though you should wait for a discount on this game if your getting Desktop version.

Gives you zero understanding how much they really cost in reality. Horse in reality cost 5k to 50K depending what they really meant for, like cross country racing, flatop racing and everyday requirements. the gold they put out out for each horse makes zero sense. create your own horse mode stats are at 60 means you pay crazy prices. limited breeds for racing: https://www.thevetexpert.com/25-most-popular-racing-horse-breeds-of-the-world/ Not all them are here so.. there no creation mode where it doesn't cost money. Just story mode, story if your willing to listen your grandpa and ancestry were long line of famous jockeys and you had this famous horse which always won. Strangely they don't let you train horse before hand you have to train horse after race the horse several times. Horse is not stallion but mare. Stallions are boys, mares are females. estate you now own was being run by family friend who couldn't get his own children to run it. They loss total interest in it. You have upgrade everything. Issue I had materials were expensive even though most those materials are really cheap. Other thing thing I think lumber you could make your own lumber yard and get zero for everything. Racing in the game typical right to left movement and space-bar is rush movement. Noted: Horse whip is banned, its considered animal cruelty act in 2020 they studied it, however I noted horse is pushed beyond normal merit of racing and pushed where they die after race. So game didn't have horse whip in game is good thing. Tack gear there not much selection, and skills where is that gained?(Still searching) Tack gear is unlocked after you level up. Skills: still searching for that answer Opinion the game: its fun to play, there free roam means where you can play endlessly without going back to races but skills aren't earned. Like: horses and customize ranges are limited, colors are natural, there no rare coloring? Dislike: no means pick of selection of horse prior or play with horse that chosen which makes it forced to get, but they did have where you can create it differently. But skills are missing to earn yourself. add a stall feature how is barn exterior you can't modify?

so after playing a few hours heres my thoughts, pc is more friendly, only real thing to buy is the game, you have more to do and for longer than on mobile, mobile you can only do a few races before waiting for more of the ticket things, on here theres no wait you can do as many races as you want and its easy to get breeding items/money for it, however, the game gets super repetitive and the online play isnt really online, and with the version of online we do have its either bots or automated or smth, and no chat option or friending option for the people or bots you play with so you can only make friends outside of the game?? idk i havent explored the multiplayer option much because yea, it seemed to be just bots when i played. so from what i have seen there isnt much socialization which is fine but the game is basically breed and race horses, and the rng for breeding can be irritating with stats but maybe im doing smth wrong. i think i will keep playing the game but i see myself falling out of it because of how repetitive it is and the lack of socialization, i think an open world option where they have a little place you can ride and flex your horses with other players would be a fun idea, but i imagine it would take a lot of work. But it would probably bring more traction and motivate people to play more, to breed cool horses to flex and interact with other people

This game is fun and has good horse design with good movement.

iv'e wanted this game for years and when i finally saved up money as a kid to get this game i never got off. I would play from sunrise to sunset. I was so addicted. now, not as much as i was back then but i still play it a lot.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! So much better than the mobile version. And the custom horse create is AMAZING, I just wish you were able to buy horses from it earlier in the game, because it costs a lot of money. I've realized that the best way to get money early in the game is cross country, though it's not as good as flat races earlier in the game. It has the most realistic breeding I've ever seen in a horse game, and is the best horse game I've found. Again, amazing game!

It's a fun game, but with a little bit more effort, it could be more immersive. As is, I give it 5 out of 10. If you like horse racing sims, I suspect that you could do a whole lot worse than to spend a few hours immersed in this game.

Its a really good game, and pretty fun, nice graphics. But it takes a long time for horses that are on mobile to be added, which is kind of annoying.

I totally recommend this game to others! It is so fun and has may cool features that other horse games don't have like breeding, racing, showjumping arena, and unique horse coats. The game also has cross country, which i wish more games had. they are constantly updating, improving and adding to the game! Definitely would suggest this game to equestrians like me, or other people just really like horses!

This game is really fun, ive been farming it for awhile after hating the mobile version with its transactions...its wayyy easier but wayy less updated. i also have a good gaming pc and for some reason this game is the only one that spazzes out and starts glitching to the point i cant click anything and it keeps acting like its being pulled to the left side of the screen. happens occasionally and when i restart the game it usually fixes it.. but its still annoying :(

Love the art and I really enjoy that you can race yourself or simulate races. Breeds and coats are beautiful. In the beginning of the game, it gets very grindy. You just have to get past this and can make anywhere from 1-2mil/race in the later game, making it easier to acheive what you need. In-game goals are fun and can be challenging to acquire; however, I do feel like storyline is a bit lacking. This game feels like if 2002 Gallop Racer had done everything right with great art and unique breeding coats. Great for grown-up horse girls and gamblers alike.

I just dislike that its so expensive to create horses. thats all i want to do. i'm not good at racing and all that. i just want to breed and create horses.

Im on prestige level 16 and i have a max level horse during the rival race you cant place third at that race unless anyone else figured it out still VERY annoying.

Please add the long main as an option for your create a horse and make the long hair even the one long piece of hair makes it look like a hack job so please make it even for the long hair and add in some more forelock pieces for options too thanks and instead of it being as a NPC horse and hoping you get one and add Ways to make the horses go into walk trot canter and gallop at a steady pace and have them keep it there please

AWESOME GAME! The new breeds are epic and crossbreeding is really fun!!! Highly Recommend. Only downside is Richard is OP
