This game was a really fun experience, there were some big problems, though.
(5/3/2020)
1. I can't fit more than two pearls in a drink most of the time, and that's IF I don't add ice or sugar.
2. I can't seem to change/recenter the rooms play area, is my back supposed to be at my wall?
If I'm anywhere but my back to the wall, I am phasing into the wall
I recommend having the room fit whatever size the users play area is, to a degree, if possible.
3. If you stick your hand in the sugar jar (without grabbing) it duplicates sugar cubes insanely fast...
4. When pouring from cup to cup, it takes a little too long for it to finish after i am done pouring? is the lag supposed to simulate fizzing or is it unintended?
I feel like this game could have the shop customized by the player at some point, and somehow implement upgrades.
Maybe have an ice maker machine and not just have a ton at your disposal? a lime cutter that takes time?
Have the player be more than a part timer so he is more involved with the shop? or become more important?
Some things IMO can be improved, like the customer appearances and animations
(I played with valve index controllers)
I found it hilarious how if you fail (or get all 5 orders failed) how she says "what are you, a retard?) wasn't prepared for that

Before the December '20 patch, this game was unplayable and I gave it a negative rec but it's at least in a playable state now so I'm re-reviewing it. There's not a whole lot to say about a typical preparing-order-made-foods game, if you've seen one you have a good idea what the gameplay will be like, so I'll just list some pros and cons.
Good:
- The models and animations are fairly well done as is Bubbles' voice acting.
- There's a full campaign where concepts are introduced one at a time.
- There's a Challenge Mode where all the concepts are combined to put you to the test.
Could Use Improvement:
- The center of the playspace should be aligned to behind the counter, where the player would naturally stand. Right now it's *inside* the counter and I have to teleport every time a scene loads. Or at least make the player position persistent through scene transitions (all scenes are in the same room).
- The campaign days are way too short. You watch a cutscene, you do a practice drink to learn the new concept of the day and then the actually gameplay portion only lasts for like 4 or 5 drinks. You barely even get started and it's over.
- Challenge Mode could use some more options. Right now you just play for a while with all drink concepts unlocked. There could be something like an Easy, Medium and Hard where more and more concepts are introduced, customers come faster, etc.
- Lemons aren't green. Those are limes.
Overall, it's only $14 so I won't be too harsh. It's not a bad game but you can burn through all of the content so far in like an hour and the Challenge Mode isn't much of an incentive to keep playing..

Still rife with all manner of game-breaking bugs and glitches including missing voice lines, inadequate index controller binds, ingredients failing to despawn, soft-locking tutorials and a boba machine that'll randomly decide to stop recognizing all drinks and force you to restart while praying on your knees that overlord bubbles grant you luck next time. Cute game, wish it was playable.

Im sure the gameplay for PC play is completely fine, but the VR rigging is broken and makes the game completely impossible to play. Between clipping through the different appliances and spilling the cup/pulling icecubes out of the drink when trying to simply pick the cup up, it isnt worth the headache. 2/10 for cute graphics.

I believe this game to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest food making sim ever. The combination of cute anime girls, vr capabilities, easy controls, and fun products is a combination to die for. This game provides endless joy to my heart with its challenge mode, and I love Bubbles. Food Girls - Bubbles' Drink Stand has brought about a new purpose in my life, to serve bubble tea and a bubble tea goddess. Hats off to the developers for making such a great intuitive game that checks all the boxes in my checklist.
Rating: 10/10
Replayability: 9/10 - Can get repetitive if you're not into it
Cuteness: 11/10 - LITERALLY TO DIE FOR
Recommend?: 10/10 Absolutely yes. I recommend this game to everyone who has ever liked bubble tea, cute anime girls, or games like Papa's Pizzeria.

In VR i constantly have problems grabbing the objects within the environment, whether that's trying to open the ice drawer, or just grabbing the shaker, where for some reason it would always prioritize grabbing an object nowhere near me, like if i went to open the ice drawer instead it would start making a weird jittering noise and grab a sugar cube from the jar nowhere near my hand, or if i went to grab a cup while shaking the tea it would instead start pouring water from the dispenser... On top of the fact that for the first 2 days there is no gameplay, just tutorial, so the game is much shorter than previously expected... Unplayable in VR until the grabbing issue is fixed.

Great idea for a game but the controls are a bit wonky and a bit difficult to close the storage. I was impressed with how much you can interact with the tutorial girl.

Don't expect some phenomenal life changing experience. It's a boba sim. However it's a sim with a cute manager you can poke at and collect neat decor. Controls feel good to me. It's a great way to pass the time. And if anything it's a novelty. Just like all the waifu shirts you have in that pile on your bed because you're too lazy to fold and use those things we call drawers.
P.S. - You may wanna wash that balled up one behind your door in the corner. It's looking a little......crusty.

Really cute game albeit the gameplay isn't 100% polished. I find that you can't full on shove your vr hands into objects to grab them. You gotta move close enough till the object is highlighted which is usually fingertip point - then you go for the grab. After getting used to that, everything was smooth sailing. Super glad it worked well on quest 3 with alvr too!

This game has put me through mental stages and slanderous abusive words via a woman the size of a tic tac. Now, I like women, but never have I wanted to assault a woman till this day (Specifically this one). I believe this has been my halting point of anime, as apparently one can now move beyond the 2D scenes and firmly plant your hands into a small 18+ yr old woman's boba goddess breasts and commit thievery by stealing leaves from their neck, summoning milk via ringing her bell, groping their hair to grab boba, and unfortunately you cannot grab the sugar or limes from this woman as I wish this was a feature. The mocap in the end was splendid as I imagine a man doing this, but alas it was a woman. That is all, you should purchase this game to help you end addictions and commit PTSD events. Devs if you read this splendid work and let me know when I can pull more from this woman with different costumes, and or allow me to access that vault behind her. Also, one should be able to work at the robotics center to avoid the abuse.
Edit: Give this likes so I can be the most helpful as obviously this is being very helpful.

I was so excited to play a cute tea making game, but I'm kinda disappointed in the controls. I found that it was really hard to pick up whatever object I was trying to pick up, and it would target something farther away instead. There's also the limited turning and lack of being able to move around the shop remotely. Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of floor space, so having a better movement option would improve gameplay a ton. Overall, it's cute and I really enjoy it, I just don't enjoy that it took me 20 minutes to go through two and a half days because I spent most of my time trying to orient myself rather than just making tea.

Food Girls: Bubbles's Drink Stand is so cute!
You could play this as a standalone game and you'd have no trouble understanding it, but I would recommend it primarily to those who have played the original Food Girls game. I like this game because I like the character of Bubbles from Food Girls and I find it fun to experience working in the bubble tea stall I'm familiar with from the original game. That familiarity of the first game helps me to feel invested in this game.
If you haven't played Food Girls, this game might feel a little lacking, but it depends what you're looking for, of course. This game still has a cute girl, bubble tea, and the challenge of quickly and accurately preparing drinks for customers. Plus it has some fun details like a moo sound effect when you pour milk and the most adorable maid outfit you can dress Bubbles in (which players of Food Girls will recognise from the original game).
All of the story is contained in the tutorial so it's a short and simple story but it's sweet. However, you can expect to spend most of your time in challenge mode where you prepare as many drinks as possible in a limited amount of time. Bubbles delivers a few lines of dialogue at the start to give the challenge some context (while making reference to another Food Girls character) but there is next to no story here. Ultimately, whether you'll like Bubbles's Drink Stand really comes down to whether you find repeating the task of preparing drinks enjoyable.
The only other thing to mention is the item seller who appears in the menu area and in challenge mode:
* Shop upgrades can be bought from the menu area. I like getting these for the charm of the items themselves as much as for the perks they provide. For example, you can buy artwork of Bubbles and the other two main characters from Food Girls to decorate the walls. Unfortunately, some of the items are buggy and don't provide the effect they should.
* In challenge mode, serving the item seller a drink provides one of two temporary items that have an effect. However, even after almost 40 hours with this game, I still don't understand the benefit of one of these items. It would be really great if the game explained what the items are for!
Other than these issues with certain items, I encountered no problems with the game while playing it on my PC. I can't comment on the VR version.
Overall, as long as you are aware of what Food Girls: Bubbles's Drink Stand offers and don't expect it to be more than it is, then you should have a good time helping Bubbles to run her business. I really do like this game and find it adorable.

A game that'll probably be less than 2 hours of playtime to complete it.
Half of the time is consumed by tutorials.
The developers were quick to respond and fix a grabbing / interaction bug that made it unplayable.
All sounds negative but, I'd still recommend it for the perk of making Bubble Tea which was an enjoyable experience. One thing I do wish is, you never have time to actually see the customers since you're too preoccupied fulfilling their orders and only stare at the board to see what to make next.
Hopefully there will be some more content in the future.

The game where 3/4 of your play space is dedicated to THE VOID.
There is a ton of gameplay issues. One of which is that half of my play space is dedicated to the empty void behind the walls of the building.
So it's very difficult for me as I keep bumping into the barriers trying to reach the space behind me or in the very little space i have dedicated to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
The other issue is that there's so much tutorial to go through and not enough gameplay.
I do not want to listen to a little shrimp berate me. It's not cute. It's ANNOYING.
If I wanted to get chewed out working for a someone holier than thou, then I'd go back to retail.

For the price? nah. The only thing this game does well is the character motion capture.
It's worth like $7 at the most, though I would only spend $5 on it.

This is written Based on VR gameplay.
Pros:

Cute character, especially in maid outfit. Very cute.

Interesting game mechanic - Main menu interactions, ingredients growing on her ornaments, etc
Cons:

EXACT Rising Sun Flag appears in-game - try thinking as if Hakenkreuz was behind Black Tea for no Fckin' reason.

Terrible control. Half of time when you put things down, it clips thru your hand and fall over, spilling all your work on the ground. Trying to picking up also is a similar nightmare.

Bad animations. You can see her feet shaking notably even if she isn't moving. Also, customers shares same animation, aged or not.

'Incomplete' feels around the game overall, i.e. Lacking settings menu, Very loud diesel-engine-like repeating sounds when scene is changing. (In Oculus Quest2 Air Link)
If polished - and without that worshiping WW2 Axis power BS - would've been a cheap, fun game I would recommend everyone around. But sadly, this game isn't so in current state.
I really wish devs continue working on this to fix addressed issues and make this one of their proud work, not just a VR tech demo.

y name is Yoshikage Kira. I’m 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don’t smoke, but I occasionally drink. I’m in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning.
I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I’m trying to explain that I’m a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn’t lose to anyone.

Bought this game on a dare. It was entertaining until I got past the tutorial and found that I couldn't progress any further in the game because the tickets you need to grab are on the wrong side of the VR fence (which in my space is an actual physical wall that I can't reach through). Other users report similar issues with the VR positioning and it doesn't seem like a fix is coming.
