It's pretty hard to review stuff such as music or books because it's matter of taste. Soundtracks have always been somehow part of movie/game because OST describes and define current product. Without it, it'll be "halfway there". It describes emotions and certain situations which you "live" at the moment. I'll just mention The Dark Knight just of the reason above - It took 3 months to Hans Zimmer to find very tight connection with his movie music and Joker's madness. And so we've got PAYDAY game which should describe "feelings" of robbers and situation of game. Since game is so damn linear how can be soundtrack different ? Apart from fact that in this OST are pretty unique tracks (unique in meaning of those which've completed main principle of soundtrack) other tracks are just some stack of notes which're somehow built up. 17 tracks in 2 formats and sound effets also in 2 formats are unfortunately ONLY IN 198KBPS which's for soundtrack very bad. I'd say if they want money for soundtrack they should've put 320KBPS at least. In folder we've got also thank message from Simon Viklund. ....... I won't rate this since it's matter of personal taste but from that I have written you can assume a little of this OST Bonus Point: N/A
Rating: N/A
Top-notch quality and memorable soundtracks. I recommend to buy it to support Simon VIklund's works. Also, you can use these tracks in Payday 2 gameplay.

This soundtrack is just fantastic. I've moved on from Payday and Payday 2 and I still enjoy listening to this from time to time (especially Diamond Heist). My wife enjoyed the crap out of it too! She enjoyed it so much that she wrote the Artist Simon Viklund who made the soundtrack to express our appreciation for his work and to geek out about Payday 2 because at the time, it hadn't been released yet. He got back to us pretty quickly and he seems like a super cool and modest guy with a good sense of humor. I would recommend this to anyone.

The soundtrack in the game is very high quality and fits perfectly into the rhythm of the game itself. Each song corresponds to its own level, filled with dynamics and action. Isn't that what you need to make a quality game?

The Payday soundtrack is well made and suitable for the game. Like the rest of the Payday 1 package this will typically go for 90% off. Also, like the Wolfpack DLC if you get this DLC you will gain some benefits in Payday 2, such as being able to select the music in game or somesuch. Compared to a game a sound-track is super subjective. I like the sound track for Payday1, but is it worth actually buying? Personally, I like running better.

I enjoyed this game more than its sequel. Especially since there isn't a ton of DLC's. It's just a nice little game for some coop. Even the soundtrack was very enjoyable. This was a very well made game for sure. It might be a bit dated now, but still fun. And I give this an honest, positive review. The soundtrack deserves this review too. I wish that the sequel was more like this.

4 words. Best. Fucking. Soundtrack. Ever. The songs are amazing and totally worth the money. You can even play the music in PAYDAY 2 if you get this DLC. I will give you my all is the best one. Its so hard not to sing along when it plays honestly. "I will give you my all, pretty baby. I'll come whenever you call for me, lady, yeah. I will give you the best of me... The best of me! THE BEST OF MEEEE!" Awesome soundtrack and is that Bain singing? He sounds awesome. 10/10 Would play when singing in a tree.

Good masks and music. NOTE IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE MUSIC NOT APPEARING IN YOUR LIBRARY Right Click Payday and select Properties. Click the DLC tab and uncheck and recheck the soundtrack checkbox. The music should be in the steam music library.

Got the soundtrack for under 1 euro. Pretty worth getting because you gert masic and the soudntrack for the game. I think you can also get the Payday 2 music If you get that. I have a problem where I can't access the music on my steam account so I have to go through the steam files on my computer to access it. If someone could help me with that then that would be nice. Worth getting. 9 out of 10.

Contents:

17 tracks in both full 48 kHz 24 bit WAV and 198kbps MP3 format.
6 with additional vocals and effects that honestly sound incredible. I honestly prefer these versions over the sfx-less ones. (To make an omelet, you need to break some eggs. You know what I mean?)
Additional versions without the sfx added, for those that just want the songs.
Remix materials for seven songs. These don't contain all the samples used (mostly missing all the drum tracks), but still has the majority of samples.
Four dapper masks.
Access to these songs in Payday 2.

These songs are iconic. There's no other way to describe it. While Payday 2 went more synthetic with its soundtrack, PDTH keeps it grounded and real with its soundtrack. Screaming guitars and slamming drums. This is the true soundtrack to any heist.

Awesome music at an awesome price! Do yourselves a favor kids and go buy the Payday 2 soundtrack as well. It has 10x more songs and even better music and they keep adding to the playlist all the time. With the new 'Point Break' heists, you can customize your menu music in Payday 2. Don't have Payday 2? What the eff is wrong with you? Go buy it for god sake. Tell em' the Vampster sent ya. If you have this 1st Payday: The Heist Soundtrack dlc, it will also include these tracks that you can add to your playlist if you have the 'Point Break Heists'. Payday: The Heist - This is where it all started gang. 10/10 - Will always have 'Heisting' in my blood.

One of my favorite soundtracks when it comes to steam and cruising down the street. I myself personally frigging love the way he double crosses with those god damn drums. -->A DEFINITE MUST BUY IF YOU LOVE MUSIC!<--- If you also own payday 2 you can now change the payday 2 soundtrack with the payday the heist soundtrack.

The best part about this DLC isn't the music, or even the fact it all gets transferred into PAYDAY 2 The best part is that in the files, you get a message from Simon Viklund himself thanking you for buying the soundtrack. Legit made me smile seeing that.

This soundtrack is great, cheap, and gives you access to masks when purchased. Purchasing this soundtrack provides you with the songs in multiple different formats, and provides you materials to remix them. Songs come with sound effects, and alternative versions without them are provided in the package. Worthwhile purchase.

Absolutely worth the price if you enjoy PD:TH's soundtrack. However, if you're also buying for the remix material, please note that it is only given for the following tracks:

Gun Metal Grey (First World Bank)
Double Cross (Heat Street)
See You at the Safe House (Heist Success Theme)
Crime Wave (Slaughterhouse)
Code Silver (No Mercy)
Breach of Security (Diamond Heist)
I Will Give You My All (Simon Viklund original heard in Diamond Heist)
The rest of Viklund's songs from the dance party as well as the radio music are completely absent from this soundtrack. Again, this is very much worth your money, but I want to save you the disappointment if you buy this hoping for, say, the remix material for Three Way Deal or The Take.

While I'm a pretty big fan of 80s-style synth-pop, I'm generally not as enthusiastic about more modern electronic "stylings", such as those on offer here. Even I have to admit, though, that this is some pretty groovy sh*t. Having said that, I definitely prefer the "sound effects free" versions of the tracks, 'cause y'know, I really don't need to hear the decent-to-mediocre voice-acting from the game a trillion times over (nor do I need to hear the couple of lame-arsed songs, with lyrics, tacked on the end). But since this package offers the listener a clear choice in what version of the soundtrack he/she wants to hear, hell, that's reason alone to add an extra half-point to the Verdict below. Verdict: 9/10.

Even the poster of this looks like the Bohemian Rhapsody's poster from Queen: https://www.creativityaustralia.org.au/wp-content/uploads/Queen.jpg Oh, and OST is 19/10, buy it, worth it.

Yes, this is 100% worth it. If you've played this game, you know how amazing the soundtrack is. So why not support Simon Viklund, the guy who made these songs, by buying this. When you buy this you'll even get a txt file written by Simon personally thanking you and if that isn't wholesome, I don't know what is. Also, buying this DLC will allow you to use the songs in Payday 2, even the menu songs as well. So yes, this is definitely worth it.

This DLC Adds 23 Music Soundtracks (I know it says 17, but it didnt include the sound effect free ones), 6 Sound effect free, 6 With sound effects, And 11 with normal music, and 4 New masks. Usually i would make a long review for games but there is really nothing to talk about, Its just a couple of amazing songs produced by Simon Viklund and Shawn Davis. This DLC Is Optional as all It adds in game is a single mask set, and nothing else. Get It on full price, or on sale.

A great soundtrack that perfectly gives you the feeling of being a bank robber in a clown mask. Compared to the soundtrack of PAYDAY 2, I'd say this soundtrack has more character and soul in it. I may not play PAYDAY: The Heist anymore, but I still listen to its amazing music.

For a soundtrack of this quality, all the bells and whistles included, and the cosmetic additions thrown on top, this was $5 I thoroughly don't regret spending. If you enjoyed Payday's music and want to give further support to Overkill, you won't regret it, either.

If you have either/both of the games, this is worth even the full price. It's got both .MP3 and .WAV files for soundtrack of the game. If you have neither of the games, nab this when it goes on sale, 'cause the music is just that damn good on it's own. 9.5/10 Soundtrack - "Magniflorious Music."

To be honest, this is the classic example of "making money by selling stuff that should be free from the beginning". I don't know how others do, but whenever I reinstall the game, I make sure to uncheck the box for this dlc, just a waste of space since I'm not a musician. The mask set is fine I guess, nothing too groovy though. Despite all that, I would recommend buying this if You want to support OVK.

If Venetian masks are your thing, you like the music in PAYDAY, or you just want to give Overkill more money, this is totally worth it! The tracks are a bit altered from their in-game versions, but are quite good and "bump-able". The version from Bandcamp.com has answering machine messages, ringtones and notification tones voiced by your favorite career criminals. They are funny, but not exactly the funny that can appreciated by all audiences. Just like the game.
