Between our world and the world beyond lie the Titan Souls, the spiritual source of all living things. Scattered amongst the ruins and guarded by the idle titans charged with their care, a solitary hero armed with a single arrow is assembling shards of the Titan Soul in a quest for truth and power.

VERY addicting game, as you literally always one shot away from victory or defeat. It reminds of me how I feel when I fighting a Souls like boss, where both you and the boss are at very low heath, and every action therefore feels significant. During a boss fight in this game, I always, in this mindset that victory is just around the corner, I just need wait for my opportunity to strike the boss' weak point.

Would of given it a neutral rating, but please read. I bought this game after playing Death's Door, thinking it was going to be similar but different art style. It is not. Also leaving this review at 3 hours in. I beat every boss, with 153 deaths (i believe) within that time, its really not a long game and most of the time "spent" is walking back to the boss arena. What it is: This game is a boss battler. There are no additional enemies besides bosses. Your character has walk, roll, run and is armed with a bow and arrow (1). You are able to shoot the arrow and make it return to you. You die with 1 hit from any boss. The bosses also die within 1 hit but you have to hit their "weak spot", any other hits will cause no damage. Some bosses require revealing the "weak spot" and may require an additional hit. Each boss is different and requires a different strategy. This is not an RPG, there is no leveling or talent or additional skills to unlock. It is challenging and if you are the type that likes the "high stakes" challenge then this game is probably for you. There is even a hard mode and a 1 life mode for extra punishment. Why the long review: This game just wasn't for me. I picked it up during the summer sale and thought it was going to be the prequel to Death's Door. Besides being mentioned in Death's Door, nothing of the 2 games is similar, don't even know why they made the connection, maybe building their own little universe, or just marketing. It's not a bad game, especially for $1.50, but just for anyone else looking for more Death's Door, you wont find it here.

Normally, it's not a bad game. It would be fun for a few hours, but running back to the bosses every time you die takes longer than everything else, which gets boring pretty fast. Also, I'm not really a fan of the bosses themselves, having only 1–2 attacks and the only difference being the design is just bad.

There is something about this game that keeps drawing me back in, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The atmosphere is full of foreboding thanks in large part to the haunting soundtrack. The first time I played this gem, I could barely beat the first Titan, but after so so many deaths, I slowly learned to master the game and I've played through it to 100% on almost every system I own. Although it is only listed as playable on the Steam Deck, it runs absolutely perfectly and looks stunning. Many thanks to the developers for this wonderful experience that I keep returning to.

Still better gameplay than DS2's frigid outskirts

Spent more time running back to the bosses than actually fighting the bosses. Boss "solutions" usually just entail waiting for the boss AI to stumble upon the position you need them to be at.

Short game, but there are some replay modes. Overall a satisfying experience. Quite a challenge, but not unbeatable. Perfect blend.

This a great game, just difficult enough not to make you give up. I always like the pixelated style but a game with only bosses is not my cup of tea. It is an 8 out of 10.

Game is fun and relaxing, anyone complaining about the walk back is simply having a skill issue.

- bosses only - one hit kills both you and the bosses - great pixel graphics - not too long or short took me four hours to finish - short walkback to all bosses, but honestly it could be shorter in a lot of cases. It does add up a lot with how fast you can fail at a boss fight. There's a hard mode afterwords, but I'm getting kind of tired of the walkback and I thought the difficulty was already pretty high so I think I'm going to stop here.

A great distillation of the boss battler genre - All you need to do is dodge and shoot at a weak point. My only caveat is the amount of traveling/walking to areas (feels like just a way to pad out the playtime) and what's even worse is the amount of walking to bosses when you die (get good, I guess). All in all, will provide a great challenge (especially, Iron Mode or One Life mode) and a few hours of fun.
