Niche - a genetics survival game

The game is very open to interpretation. You can bond with specific characters you breed and imagine stories, or view the game as pure strategy, making it enjoyable for many different kinds of sandbox game lovers.

i saw seri! pixel biologist play this game years ago on youtube and begged my mum to get it me. best decision of my life. you can play two modes, story mode where you start as adam who gets taken by a bird and manages to get out of its grasp and fall on an island, you go through a tutorial and meet eve and try to get back to adams family island. adam and eve is a thing that relates to when the game first came out as the first two characters you'd have would always be called adam and eve relating to the bible. the second mode you can play is the sandbox which you have various amounts of islands with different difficulties to start your little clan of creatures with. throughout the turn based game you use the genetics of the creatures to see what other creatures you can make, while trying to keep them all alive by hunting rabbits, fish and cracking open nuts. you can see the family tree and filter it with the genetics you want to see. HOWEVER, i would say the game can get a little repetitive but all the settings of your sandbox game can be edited and adjusted to your liking. if you're thinking of getting the game i would recommend it, have fun! c:

I used to watch Jessimew play Niche back in the day, I was really happy to start playing niche a couple years ago and have not been too disappointed since, though i do wish they would fix some of the achievement bugs like globetrotter not popping unless you do it in one session. All that aside I do recommend this game as I enjoy it a lot and find the nichelings adorable.

it is really fun because you can traverse the lands and siri! pixel biolegest was the one who made me wan't to play it. when i found out there was a achivement for her i literally said that would be my first youtube achivement to get in niche. i love it:) also i grew my nicheling tribe to 20 smth at one point, idk how

It's a pretty....Niche...Game. But on a more serious note, it's very fluffy and somehow both brutal and cute. If you ever owned a tamogachi, it's a similar kind of anxiety to keep your favourite critter going.

I got an A on my bio test cause I played so much Niche I knew how genetics works. I was the only one to get and A. (This was years ago tho.)
