An extremely charming experience through and through. The beautiful visuals and music mix perfectly to create a great atmosphere. A really fun game worth your while.

excellent game, perfect atmosphere and vibe. only complaint is that ropes/chain hitboxes seem a little thin but thats a nitpick. buy this game if you like platformers 100%

Cavern of Dreams is a 3D platformer collectathon styled like an N64 game (with heavy inspiration from the likes of Banjo Kazooie, DK 64, and Super Mario 64). And it definitely succeeds on that front – it looks and sounds so much like an N64 game that it’s really quite impressive. You play as Fynn, a young dragon looking for the forty eggs containing his siblings, which have been scattered around the titular Cavern of Dreams. There are four worlds to explore within the cavern, four new abilities to learn, and three types of collectibles (mushrooms, eggs, and encyclopedia entries). Aesthetically I love it so much. It’s cute but not too cutesy, and it manages to create a wonderfully surreal, mysterious, and almost at-times melancholic atmosphere. There is no combat (there are enemies, but running into them just knocks you back), but I didn’t really find myself missing it. The worlds may be small, but they are jam packed with puzzles ranging from simple to very complex. I do have a couple gripes – there is a timed puzzle in each world, and they are all a real pain (especially the last one, which doesn’t even show you the timer), and some of the puzzles feel a bit contrived. Otherwise I quite enjoyed the game.

Adorable and a good addition to the N64 era of 3D platformers and collect-a-thons

Cute little game with a charming world and soundtrack The low jumps need a bit of time getting used to, but it's very fun and has the perfect length to not overstay it's welcome

Charming and doesn't overstay its welcome. A slice of everything you'd want out of a game like this.
