I really do like this game, but at the current state I would not be able to recommend it. Graphically, it's great. The world is interesting and creepy. The puzzles overall are good. There are two big problems right now though - bugs and saving. The saving system apparently saves once per chapter. After 4 hours of attempts - for various reasons I've still not passed chapter 1. This means every time I want to try again, I'm replaying everything over and over. I've played through chapter 1 at least 5 times now. This really needs a huge improvement - whether it's by implementing manual user saves, or time-interval saves, or puzzle-completion saves... something. If there was a proper saving system, the bugs wouldn't matter. You'd just load up the last save. I get it - it's new technology and probably a technically complicated game. Bugs happen, and they don't often bother me. But since I've had game-breaking bugs occur in chapter one 3 times now, it matters. Cause when the game breaks, you get to start all over - no matter if you're on the last encounter after a dozen puzzles were solved for the 5th time. I had to leave once - not realizing there wasn't a saving system at all at that time. Had a hardware issue that required a restart. Then 3 game-breaking bugs. I give up.

Nevrosa: Escape was essentially my first Escape the Room Game, so I can't compare or contrast it with the siblings in its genre. What I can say, though, is that I had a great time. Playtime with what I *think* is each ending was a little under two hours. Admittedly, I'm a sucker for the themes involved, and I honestly didn't find the game extremely frightening. It was "intense" without being "extreme". I usually enjoy things towards the "extreme" end and I had a good time. Unless you have a genuine case of arachnophobia, it's not an ultra intense horror experience, so I wouldn't let that dissuade you -- it's more like a strong horror theme to an escape room game. Nevrosa: Escape is polished, smart, fun, and an experience to remember. Moar. :D

so far so good, just over an hour in and still lots to explore, i really love the use of room scale in this game. the puzzles like the original free game r great and strike a balance of fun/frustration cant wait to explore some more koodos to the developers :)

The best, most innovative, VR escape room/puzzle experience, hands down. No teleporting or artificial locomotion. Roomscale put to full use in the most ingenious and creative way I have ever experienced, and fits perfectly with the lore which provides full immersion.

PROS: It's well made. It looks good. Puzzels are fun. Intersting design choices as far as movement. Intersting atmophere. CONS: Not as creepy as Nevrosa: Prelude Does not run as well as Nevroa: Prelude (Although this is probably due to there is MUCH more going on visually) Still shorter than I would have liked. THOUGHTS: I played through it and made a final choice (by accident - it was my fault, not the game's). So I started over to try and end it a different way. Originally I thougth that was only one of several levels, similar to I Expect you to Die, but it turned out to be the whole game which is why I thoguth it was on the shorter side. However,I played throughthe whole thingt twice and some or the puzzel change so you cann't just plug in teh same sequence or code if you remembered it from teh previous game. I also tried the final act several times to make different choices. Only once, did the game mess up where a piece of a puzzle piece got stuck inside another puzzle piece and I could not seperate them to complete the task. It was minor and in the very beginning. I did not understand the mirror part ( if you play it yo'll know what I mean), but I think that it is only there in case you really screw something and toss items someplace far out of reach. For it's current price, I'm on the fence about it, but if it goes on sale it's definately worth it, and I really hope the developers try and expand on this creepy little univser and make more games.

What a wonderful piece of art. This is somewhat like A Chair in a Room but in victorian steam punk style. It's not a horror shocker game but Nevrosa will play with your synapses good. Imagine your head clamped in a vice and progression in this game tightens it slowly. Feels like a weird surreal nighmare. Amazing atmosphere, good graphics, nice roomscale and a lot of love for detail. The puzzles are just right. Really one of the better titles out there for VR. Check out the free demo Prelude, it gives you a good idea about what you are going to deal with. Highly recommend this game if you have a big tracking area. Only downside: There seems to be no save feature and that makes it a bit annoying. You have to go through everything over and over again. The puzzles are randomized so you have to start at 0 again.

The escape room aspect of the game and the puzzles were fun with some variation. That said once you get understand the quirk of each puzzle it is fairly easy to rush through. Finding the multiple endings was enjoyable and I felt great that I did so. That said there were very frustrating moments regarding sensor movement where I wasn't moving and the game was or I couldn't let go of items. I did pull through but my largest gripe was the room size aspect. The game expects you to have a larger space for movement and it, so far as I have been able to find, is necessary to get one of the endings. I found myself unable to complete an ending because I physically could not reach the required item, it being a foot or so away. There was no way for me to get closer so I am stuck with 1 ending incomplete.

Don't play it. I tried and the game immediately broke. I couldn't progress and nobody else had any solutions. 85% of the time I played was troubleshooting, since it didn't want to start either

I tried Nevrosa Prelude first, it seemed really cool and worked fine, this looks great but is just too buggy for me to even get to the first checkpoint. Several hours of troubleshooting isn't my idea of fun, maybe it works better on Vive or Oculus but I wouldn't waste your time on WMR Headsets.

It was a good short horror puzzle game. No major jumpscares but unsettling which made it more enjoyable. I will say it's a bit overpriced for its size, I would have rather paid $10 rather than $15 but it's an overall good experience!

Unplayable. Firstly, you better have plenty of space, because you need about 10x10ft. No movement controls at all. I heard the controls are pretty bad in general, but I wouldn't know, I don't have an empty room that big. If you don't have a lot of space to walk around, just don't buy it.

Not super pleased. The game is incredibly short and there's no replay value. Although there are multiple endings it's really tedious to walk through the last section over and over. Additionally the game was buggy for me and it was hard to hold or reach objects. It's a fun escape room game, I just can't recommend it at full price.

hey let me know when youve finished making this game and ill try it things to remember when making a game .. 1. not every slag lives in a warehouse sized abode 2. implement movement. 3. always show up to work wearing clothes 4. THE DAM CONTROLS. 5. Too much suspense in a horror game is a dull thing and so far nothing has happened 6. ....(sigh no still nothing).. Bit worried actually! 7. an escape rooM should be made from hints clues and puzzles not the inability to move, IAM sTUCK HERE..is this part of the game? do i have to figure out what paralysing venom ive been hit with huuuh? probably the same shit that gave the devs couch lock ..Seriously though i am stuck i only managed to get to here with headset navigation and tweeking virtual letters with the trackers on my knees... someone send help! STEAM SUPPORT! ....Iam hungry! ....Quick! implement some actual usefull space/time saveing control functionality, 90 degrees on the thumb wheel, go! where is search and rescue from the steam support section? Oh!.....................................TSHH!

Game breaking bugs, really bad controls and short play time. The only reason it took me 1.7 hours to play was the bugs, otherwise I reckon it's about 30 minutes.

Very nice graphics, but the game is not so great. First of all, its super-short, finishing it takes less time than watching a film, in the demo video above you can see almost the whole game. You spend some extra time to explore it more throrougly, but you will realize there is nothing else. Second, there is no movement in the game. In VR games I enjoy most the greater freedom than in normal games - but here, you have less freedom. You stand in a room, and want just to walk to the other end of the room - but you can't. Yeah you will still try and you hit your head into your cupboard... VR games have a good reason for the "teleport" movement, this one totally lacks it. The game has some nice ideas and game features, with a little thinking these elements should have been used to make a lot more complex and longer game. Also I don't like that the very first puzzle of this game is advertised as a "free" game, Nevrosa prelude.

I'm not s big fun of puzzle games, but this one really got me (watched on youtube first). Got the first endin with the ruins and really want to learn more. Dev please make the second part with voice dialogs and more "story papers", its hard to get into the lore now (but its good!) because of small texts all the way good game though, btw played Prelude story while getting through and liked it a lot too! Try it if you are goin to play Escape!

I really want to like this game. Puzzel solving in a horror szenario should work very nicely from me. But after 10 min. of twisting a dial within the first 20 min. of the game without knowing if I don't get the puzzle or if the game is just broken I quit and refunded it. The thing is a puzzle game cannot be ambiguous with feedback for your actions. I have to know if I'm just missing something or did something wrong. A creeping suspicion that I'm just stuck on a bug is just frustating.

This game uses your room scale for the puzzles, so there is no "manual" teleporting, the game moves you around when you finish the puzzles in the area. All the puzzles where pretty straight forward and fair. There are 4 endings all decided on what you choose to do at the end. You get a text overview of what your actions caused, and you can easily reload after any ending so you can skip most of the game and make a different choice so you can see and read all the endings quickly. My only annoyances was that you have to collect 4 items to get one of the endings and i had to use Advanced VR settings to move my playspace and be able to reach one of them, AND... During the shooting section, I could NOT reload the pistol, i played using the vive wands and i could not find where to press to reload the gun, lucky you can use your hands, otherwise it would have been pretty game breaking. Got it on sale and took me 2hrs to do all the puzzles and see and read all the endings, probably should be a little less as i finished the whole game twice (way faster the 2nd time already knowing the puzzles), instead of just reloading the last scenes. Overall a great escape the room game, good atmosphere good story.

Played for 10 min...had to stop and write a review...wow...this is possible with VR? unbelievable...What an environment they have created... Just to start the game, its a puzzle in itself.. These are very talented developers here...and best part is I picked up the game for measly $10 during the sale.. heck...my game on Ipad, ios devices cost more... This is a must have title for vr owners... Strongly recommended..

bad: It´s short: 1,5 - 3 hours good: but worth the price, the rare seeded fights are somehow epic in a way I experienced it in no other Game. After 250 hours of VR the sense of "feeling to be inside the Game" is a little bit fading, but here it is feelable like it was the first VR day - and yes, the riddles are also ok, sometime trial and error, but ok. PS: And I hate spiders! Had to put the Headset away for some minutes... that´s awesome! I will definetly use the spider szene to torture my friends!

Hi, everyone! Many thanks to developers for this game. Absolutely great atmosphere. Stunning graphics and sounds. Animation is excellent too. The main thing that you are able to interact with almost everything that is in the game - any object. That's what I call VR! Also the plot was interesting for me. You start in an ordinary room and then go through the mystical and complex story. I definately recommend this game!

Had serious trouble to pick things up. Mostly because the hands and arms feel very bulky, at least for short people. Also the ingame floor is way lower than the realy life floor. Once I dropped something, it was decided by pure luck whether I was able to pick it up or not. Couldn't even pass the second level without getting frustrated.

A well-made game from a small team with an enormous level of details. You can spend hours exploring grandfather's room with hidden secrets. Nice use of your room setup — the first time I see something so natural. The books in the beginning — do they mean something or not?

The game is spectacular. But I have one huge problem with it - it's extremely SHORT! For ~20EUR I was expecting something different. There are 4 different endings and I don't think I have skipped anything. But to be honest, it took my less then 30 minutes to finish it for the first time, then I just replayed the last chapter to get the other 3 endings. I have to say I'm disappointed.

+Fun Puzzle Game +Decent length for price +Great visuals +Prelude was free and great -Clunky controls -Wish it were longer -Puzzles were pretty easy 3/5 Impressed with this somewhat escape room-esque game. There's fun puzzles, a "horror" element that's not the greatest. But compared to the rest of the elements of this game, the failed horror bit doesn't really make the game bad. Overall I'd say pick this up if you want a great VR experience. However play the Prelude (Which is free) first. The puzzles are fun and not so challenging that you get frustrated. There are also multiple endings, which gives it some replay value if you wanted to try different things. The atmosphere is unique, and the graphics at the right level for VR. It's short, but I recommend it if you like puzzle games.

A good puzzle game with a creepy theme. Interesting challenges, reasonable ramp of difficulty, well designed. Storytelling is a bit incomplete (but I can be impatient, maybe because I haven't played any of the other games in the series yet?), but I prefer this to something more verbose and cumbersome. Great work! I recommend grabbing and will be jumping into the sequel next.

Fantastic game and such a devoted dev! Can't wait for the Soundtrack Update and other new features. Very interesting game mechanics without need to teleport all over the place put me inside the game 100 times better than anything I've tried before. This is a whole new immersion level, I hope move devs can do this way. Totally recommend.

As someone who normally does not play these type of games I thought I have to give it at least a try in VR and I have to say that it was a good decision. Even starting the actual game is a little puzzle in itself - if you played the Prelude probably not a hard one though - and a good setup for the following chapter. As soon as you are in the game you really feel the immersion and the Steampunk-esque theme of the game fits very well. Every interactable object is responsive as you would expect it and if you change the position of items they stay there even after going to the next chapter. If you play this game without a 360° setup you sometimes have to find a workaround or take a wired stance, but that is not a problem and manageable. The only negative point I can think of is the length of it. As a novice escape room player I finished the game after ~50 minutes. For the different endings you don't need to play through the whole game so getting the achievements was a task which took about 10-15 more minutes, but after that there is not really much to do since the concept of the puzzles does not change. Tbf that's understandable, otherwise they could have implemented them into the game as well. On sale this is definitely a good buy.

If you have a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket, this would be the game to get. After solving the start up puzzle youll be hooked. The game really has a snug feel, but there were times where I did wish there was a teleport function. Keep in mind they did not give this because having to much room to play in could make the game hard to figure out. At times you may get stumped. Dont worry, give it some time. Your smart you'll get er. MAIN COMPLAINT - Its hard to get a grip on small stuff on the floor I found. THINGS I LIKE ABOUT IT - A few endings to collect and the horror aspect was done proper for what the games going for.

A strong inspiration from old-school horror movies like Hellraiser and Lovecraftian mythology bring us a true VR treasure — Nevrosa Escape is a masterpiece hiding different layers of entertainment for you: Horror. A dark and nervous atmosphere of the old mansion will be interrupted by a parallel world traveling with even more details and even better sound works. Really a good job with sounds. Puzzles. Obviously, quests were inspired by classic PC puzzles and you know — that's a good thing! I haven't felt that good old challenging curiosity for a very long time even with regular PC games. Action/Adventure. Sometimes devs will give you weapons to fight for your life. These scenes are not the best part of the game but they are kinda fun and you always have a task to finish. Movie. Yep, like AAA developers, GexagonVR is trying to bring movie-like scenes and emotions to VR and they make it very well (especially in the Mist World parts). 10/10 and will be waiting for the next part.

I would recommend this game, with some warnings. There are some action sequences that may be frustrating for someone looking for a pure puzzle experience. There is no locomotion system, each scene is designed so you can reach everything you need in the minimum space. If you can't reach something then you'll most likely either get there in a later scene or must use what you can reach to unlock a way to bring it to you. I would recommend playing the free demo Nevrosa: Prelude in order to see how this works.

On an Oculus Rift it's impossible to get past the "refill your pistol" stage. There is not a single thing you can do to refill the pistol. You're also forced into room scale rather than sitting mode, unless there's some hidden option in the three option menu to change that.

So first of all I've played only 0.2h due to poor controls. I've tried 3 times to recalibrate my VR, I've even made multiple height measures but I can't reach items on floor. No f*cking way I'd be able to grab something. Multiple times my items kept flying away from my reach without option to grab them. Also I am left handed to I expect game to have double-handed controls at least in main menu. Okay, I can expect that in normal game controls are designed for right-handed, but in main menu where you need only one button? So keep in mind I am not talking about experience of the game because I COULDN"T ENJOY PLAYING IT with those controls. PS. I have HTC Vive Pro Eye if anyone is interested in that info.

Das Kapital is on the shelf in the very first scene. I immediately regretted paying for this game. The graphics are very good, and I would still recommend the game. The story is quite short, I got 2 hours of gameplay from it, including the alternate endings, but it was enjoyable. It would've been nice if they expanded on the "mist world" and if we got to explore it a bit more, and maybe another room in the house. But it was a good game.

This game is really cool and I love the setting and style. I loved the demo. Unfortunately my play area is not sufficient for this. But I'm getting a refund.

Been playing the game now for a few hours. I am liking most of it, but I do have a problem, with some of the ways the game is going. Since there is no save as of yet, I am finding it greatly disturbing, that I have to go back and do the same Puzzles over again. This is not really that bad, what is bad, is the puzzle solutions have changed since my last login. Like the Mouse Puzzle, this took me a great deal of time figuring out this puzzle, only to do it again today, and find out my last solution is no longer working.. If the puzzles don't change, well there is a Major bug, that needs to be addressed, if they do change, all I can ask is why? Why would i want to redo a Puzzle over and over, since I can't save my game?? Other than that, the game is very much worth the price, and I am enjoying playing, minus these little Problems.

One of the best Room Escape games. + great atmosphere and level design + fairly difficult puzzles, that's very rare in VR games + no artificial locomotion, good usage of room-scale - visuals are a bit outdated - item handling is clunky, especially cogs and gun
