Sorry, I don't think I can recommend this title for the platforming & player controls. If the controls felt better, then it would be fine. The combination of a bad player controller and platforming makes certain parts so frustrating. The combat system is great, too bad its bogged down by control of player character.

I've played a lot ot metroidvanias, but not saving the game after defeating the boss, is plain stupid.

If you like DIFFICULT Metroidvanias... well this game is for you! Some of the platforming and a few bosses can make you want to break something, but no regrets! Its like playing a campy 90s action movie 😍 Handheld play on Steamdeck runs great. Using the OLED deck, the colors really POP, to the point where i had to turn down the brightness on the screen because it was making my eyes hurt in a small sections of the game. Really got use of the back buttons for this game too, especially in the tricky platform sections where you need to swap between multiple characters. DEVELOPERS Im excited for the next game in the series, BUT dial back the saturation especially with the color red and orange, and go easy on the boss difficulties, at times it felt unfair. Other than that excited for what else you got coming!

This game is way too hard, and there is no difficulty setting. The save points are way too far apart, so you spend a ton of time playing the same stuff over and over again. You have to shoot the bosses a million times before they finally die. It's too bad because everything else about the game is great, but hardly anyone will have the patience for this level of difficulty. It's lame that the demo is easy, but the purchased product is so insanely hard.
