7.5/10 A little annoying at some parts if you're playing in Classic Mode but otherwise a great game.

I haven't played a point and click adventure game in ages so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, except for puzzles of course. This simple little game blew all my expectations out of the water, the story is great (although a little complicated towards the end), the voice acting is incredible and the aesthetic was so good I dint want to progress because it would mean i had to stop looking at the scenery.

It's a classic point and click game through and through! It has very charming moments, and the twist for the game is quite interesting. The story is fine, nothing extremely gripping and it takes slightly too long to pick up the pace. But the writing is charming and quippy enough to keep you going. This game apparently has a classic and a modern mode that highlights the interactable objects so you can't miss them. I have to say, it is kind of needed since I played classic and I got stuck several times due to very small and not very clear interactions. Some of those interactions had a bit of "moon logic" attached to them, but usually you can kind of see the logic to them. My biggest gripe has been figuring out how the devs wanted me to solve the puzzle. They are very keen on you using the right kind of interaction to solve a puzzle or move through the world. For example, some doors can be opened by using the action "use" but others you NEED to use the action "open". This kind of inconsistency is just bad game design, since it leads to misunderstandings on the behalf of the player. Others will make you use the talk action in scenarios, where previously, your character would've refused to interact with the NPC, and would make more sense to use an item or the "use" action as a catch all. If you are not worried about running some circles trying a bunch of stuff together, or looking up a guide when you are stuck, this is a very short and enjoyable game through and through. It shows it had a lot of love and effort put into it!
