* I POST C.E. HELP BELOW * Wow, loved this game, played and finished off-line: Action, story, graphics were very good. Memorable the voice actors ! ( D.C. Douglas -Soulslinger- marvelously rich warm voice, Todd Barsness -just perfect as Death-, etc., really all were excellent ) Surprised, as the reviews didn't promise much, but I understand the problem: The game can be overly punishing at parts, fustrating many. I hope the devs adjust that aspect and the game would be a killer. Being 70 y.o. and slow now, I play *all* games with my own Cheat Engine tables, so I enjoyed the game fully. To give that chance to other old or like minded players, I post below some help. ------- Spoilers Cheat Engine: Select the dark rows to see the content.
- Search for the current Health value shown onscreen, Type Double, initial 100.0000. Once found you can input a greater value, for example 999999,00 - Current health address is 8 bytes above Maximum health value, it's convenient to input the same desired value to both. -Ammo for weapons: Exact Value -the number of circles onscreen-, 4 Bytes. Example for shotgun: 2, 1, 0 ( escape for pausing game ) in the brief moment after emptying all ammo before automatic reloading. ---- The above has the effect of Rapid Fire -as fast as you can press the trigger, plus no reloading, zero pauses (except if using a few weapons with 3 or 4 barrels that have a pause, not worthy). - Items: Exact Value -shown in inventory-, 4 Bytes (blueprints, fools' gold, everything).
End spoilers Good luck !

its a fine rougelite heck maybe in the world where rougelites where less common place I'd rate this higher than I am the gameplay: its passable, with its biggest flaw is of the guns I've used so far, they haven't felt good, like not in they control poorly but like the only reason I know I'm having impact is cause the red bar on the dude I hit went down. the variety in guns also could use a lot of work as out of the 4 I unlocked in my gameplay, only 1 of them felt slightly different story: from what I've played of the story, it seems fine wouldn't write home about it but its not offensively bad, though this whole genie isn't really known for its grand story telling so this isn't a huge knock on the game art and music: the art style in this game is honestly not that good, like it feels like it hard leaned into that period of gaming where every AAA company made there games 50 shades of brown so a lot of it just kinda blends together, with the only exception being the per run lobby area is surprising vibrant? and like it makes sense given the context of the story to be like that but from gameplay it very much limits enjoyment, the music is a surprisingly high point of this, the music is really nice if you enjoy hard rock/metal sound tracks, the sound design as the gameplay section kinda hinted at isn't the best though

too many interruption of action... breaks the flow. 10 seconds action 3 minutes of speech. Looked promising. Sorry but that's what I got.

It's a pretty nice game. Beautiful graphics, great artstyle and atmosphere, nice selection of weapons, skills, with just the right amount of randomization. It's all very well done and comes together very nicely if you like arena shooters. Try and play it for the first hour or so, and if you like it, go ahead, because the rest is just the same. This is not bad at all, if you like the main gameplay loop and progression system, but if you find it already tedious or boring after one hour, well, it is more of the same for the rest of the game. However, Steam forums are mostly dead, with even the developers being absent not answering any questions or solve any problems, so that's a big minus in my book.
