Fuel, Fight, and Fix What’s Broken I didn’t go looking for Gas Station Simulator. It found me—late one night, tucked beside my grandmother’s hospital bed, the room dim except for the soft beeping of machines. Her prostate cancer diagnosis had knocked the wind out of our whole family. In between appointments and teary silences, I booted up this strange little indie game, expecting distraction. Instead, I found meaning. Here’s the pitch: you inherit a derelict gas station off a lonely highway. Everything is busted, ugly, forgotten. But little by little, you sweep the sand, repaint the walls, fix broken pumps, and—somehow—bring it all back to life. I’d play while Grandma slept. As her body fought the invisible war inside her, I was outside, virtually patching walls, restocking soda, and blasting country music into the desert sky. It felt absurdly healing. Every broken part I fixed in that game was like reclaiming some small hope in a world that felt rigged against us. What hit me hardest wasn’t just the comfort of the loop, it was what the game revealed by contrast. In Gas Station Simulator, effort equals progress. You work, and things get better. But outside the game? Grandma was fighting for her life while also fighting insurance reps. My friends are working two jobs and still can't afford rent. Whole towns are drying up while billionaires race to privatize oxygen. Let’s be real: the rich run this place now. Not just America—most countries. They’ve replaced governance with shareholder reports. They've turned housing into investment portfolios. Meanwhile, we’re gasping for air under systems designed to squeeze every last drop from us. AI is accelerating that squeeze. It’s not just automating labor it’s automating control. Replacing workers with code, replacing compassion with efficiency, replacing people with profit margins. And then telling us to “adapt” while they rewrite the rules midgame. Gas Station Simulator shouldn’t feel revolutionary. But it does because it offers a glimpse of a world where community matters, where your labor rebuilds something tangible, where decency has value. That shouldn’t be fantasy. That should be reality. So here’s what I’m saying; play the game. Soak in its weird, beautiful rhythm. Let it remind you that fixing what’s broken is sacred work. But when you power down, don’t just sigh and return to the grind. Look around. Look at what’s being taken from us—jobs, health, dignity, time with our loved ones & get mad. Organize. March. Unionize. Vote with fire in your gut. Demand better. Demand humanity. Because we deserve a world where our grandparents don’t go bankrupt to live. Where our labor builds more than someone else’s yacht. Where care is a right, not a luxury.

Gas Station Simulator is a surprisingly fun and addictive management game that does exactly what it promises. You take over an abandoned gas station in the middle of a dusty highway and slowly build it into a thriving business. What starts as a dirty, run-down mess turns into a fully functioning station that you customize, expand, and manage on your terms. The gameplay loop is simple but satisfying. You pump gas for customers, clean up trash, paint walls, restock shelves, fix broken equipment, and manage supplies. As you make money, you unlock upgrades that add new services like a workshop for car repairs and a warehouse for inventory. Everything is done in first person, so you feel like you are actually doing the work. It is hands-on and immersive in a way that keeps you engaged even during repetitive tasks. The visual style fits the theme perfectly. It is not hyper realistic, but it has a clean and colorful look that makes the environment feel alive. The setting has personality and charm, and there is a good balance between realism and humor. Random events like customers leaving garbage everywhere or employees slacking off add some chaos and keep things from feeling too routine. Hiring staff to help run different parts of the station is a big help later in the game. You can assign them to tasks like fueling cars, cleaning, or running the register while you focus on bigger upgrades or side jobs. Micromanaging your employees and keeping things running smoothly adds another layer to the gameplay without becoming overwhelming. There is also a decent amount of customization. You can paint the station however you like, add decorations, and arrange shelves and furniture. It does not affect gameplay much, but it adds a personal touch and makes your station feel like your own. Performance is generally solid, though there are occasional bugs or visual glitches. Nothing game-breaking, but noticeable. The developers are active and have released patches and updates regularly which shows they care about improving the experience. Gas Station Simulator is not trying to reinvent the genre. It is a straightforward business management sim with a unique setting, solid mechanics, and just enough personality to make it stand out. If you enjoy sim games where you build up something from nothing and get your hands dirty, this one is absolutely worth your time. Eight out of ten. A great pick for fans of hands-on management games.

Very buggy, very grindy, very repetitive. I know a lot of those 'simulator' games are like this, but this one is especially not satisfying. Once you get enough employees it effecitvely becomes a screensaver.

Game was great till my employees legit get stuck and don't function, made me not even wanna play anymore, supposed to have functioning employees, not a glitched out employee that im paying to do nothing, very frustrated game has good potential if it could just function correctly, they make a reset button for cars and customers but not employees which are the most bugged out. FIX YOUR GAME SMH PEOPLE BEEN COMPLAINING FOR OVER 3 YEARS ABOUT THIS ISSUE, and yet in 2025 still same issue is still here, wish I could refund my money, not enjoyable till game actually has bugs fixed.

My first bad review and im sorry but this game needs work the base game has so many bugs.... The staff don't work like they use to and just sit by the camp... Items get stuck on the till... No in game report system i don't want to go thru other apps to report a bug make a in game report/feedback process.. it lacks progression not much to be thrilled about its a drag... And for the DLCs im not stupid enough to give a dev money when the base game is so trash... But if this sounds like your perfect game go for it but you will be disappointed after a few hours.

This game has so much going on and I really like it, but I have to give it a thumbs down and here's why: playing it with a controller is an awful experience... but not in the way you normally expect. Let me say first off, if you're going to play it with mouse and keyboard, great. It's a really good game that way and I have nothing negative to say about that experience. But I play 95% of my games with a controller, hanging out with my partner, not anywhere near a mouse or a keyboard, and if you're playing it that way, this game just feels bad, man. The controller controls work great. Getting around and doing all the things the game offers works, most of it's standard stuff and there's no issue whatsoever. But the most basic part of the gameplay loop are minigames that you do to serve customers. Initially, you pump gas, then after a while you add in scanning products at the checkout counter, and then you add in fixing up cars in the garage -- that's as far as I got before I just couldn't take it anymore. Pumping gas is great. No concerns. That minigame is just a couple of button presses and it feels good to do, it's just a little timing game. When you get to scanning the groceries is when the shine comes off, it's very awkward on controller, and it feels wrong -- no matter how many times you do it, it never starts to feel good to do. The combination of stick movement and button presses are awkward and the game feels like it's not responsive to the controls. Then you get to the garage element and it's like that but a thousand times worse. Changing tires with the controller takes SO long it's not even worth the trouble. And it feels AWFUL trying to get the controller to select each bolt and remove it -- I can't even describe the frustration of it. So that's when I thought "how can anyone enjoy playing this?" and I tried it with the mouse and it was great, quick, intuitive, feels mechanically fun to do. I even tried playing with different controllers and on different machines just to make sure there wasn't anything wrong on my end. Nope. It's just awful to play. It's not a matter of getting good - I can do it all fine. IT's that the mechanics of doing it are not fun. Trying to think of a way to explain it by analogy -- like, imagine you have this wonderful soft cat to pet but you are only allowed to do it with your foot where you're always going to be a little more awkward and you'll never get to feel the softness quite as well as you would with your hand. You might still do it for a while and even enjoy it but eventually you're going to get frustrated and find a different cat that'll let you properly enjoy it. That's a terrible analogy but I'm really bad at analogies, like a banana.

This game rules. I'm having a lot of fun with it. If you're looking for a simulator with lots of things to do this is the game for you. I'm only giving this a negative review because of the sandstorms causing the cars to get glitched even after you excavate the sand using Rudy. Also, don't paywall your achievements! Fair is fair!

ALL DLC outside of the shark one, and the movie one are truly not worth it. I'm pretty disappointed in the devs for continuously releasing dlc (now another, RV) that has really no tie in to the gas station aspect of things (all different areas etc) when they already had stuff in the works, all they these dlc's really feel like is a cash grab to keep people playing their base game. I find the airship and the car dlc to be exceptionally boring and slog like. Most of us came for the gas station simulator aspects of this game, and it just feels like Gas Station Simulator is trying to be all encompassing, which doesn't work well for it imo.

It's a fun game with a lot of additional content already out and more to come. To my knowledge you can only play solo, so the ability to play with a friend would be really nice as the game can be difficult to manage by ones self. If you like simulation games then this is the game for you.

A bit grindy at times but I enjoy it, there is also a good variety of things to do. However my favorite thing is a recent addition of the cinema and the "surprise" that they included when you upgrade it to level 5. Kudos to the developers for that :)

I enjoy this game, it scratches an itch that I never really knew I had, and was the first of these 'simulation' games that I tried. The core gameplay loop revolves around (you guessed it) maintaining and staffing a gas station. At first you do everything, although it isn't too long before you can hire employees to help. The employee hiring system has evolved greatly over the years - and the current implementation is quite good. I found that by manually flicking the shifts from Day to Night, I can keep my station pretty much permanently manned. I do not own all of the DLCs, but the free ones and the airstrip one have been enjoyable. Performance wise, this game ran badly on my old machine (RX 570), but very well on my new machine (4080S). I get the occasional stutter, and the occasional bug, but I have never had anything completely game breaking. Currently I get lots of black cars spawning in annoying locations with a man wearing a fedora 'stood' in the driver's seat. I imagine this will be fixed before too long, as the game has received constant patches. A piece of feedback: I would love if there was some sort of obvious indication that the party bus has arrived, beyond the music. I often play with the game muted, and the party bus is difficult to spot unless you specifically go looking for it. Whereas the music is always audible... Perhaps the 'traffic' indicator could be updated to include a mention of the party bus, if it is there.

Great game — a fun and relaxing sim! It’s not too difficult to grind your way to the top, and while it can get a bit repetitive, the loop is still satisfying. It’s one of those games that’s perfect for when you just want to zone out and enjoy some chill, low-stress progression. Tedious at times, but in a good way.

Perfect entry to the "Simulation" genre. Gas Station Simulator leans hard on the silly side of the simulation game genre, and less so on the simulating. Where as most Simulators have a very specific focus, which quickly gives a sense of repetition, GSS managed to mitigate this by just variety alone. You can play a cart driving mini game, let employees take over tasks you might not enjoy as much as others, and it has a story which most of games in this genre do not. Its hard not to recommend this game, a great first sim game.

What I really like about this sim, is how you go for being the employee yourself, just trying to get by and make decent cash, to a full blown manager that is less and less bothered by the menial tasks, that are left for the employes you hire. It is very adddicting game and feels exciting every time you upgrade your station and get a new type of product to sell or a car wash. It's the fun in going from humble beginnings to a giant car servicing place.

Completion: 100% Achievements Playtime: 32.9 hours Gas Station Simulator is a good sim overall, with plenty of charm in its core gameplay loop. However, the end-game upgrades become extremely tedious, as you're left grinding while waiting for the money to roll in. It slows down momentum in a way that feels more like a chore than progress. On the plus side, I think all the DLCs are solid—each one introduces new mechanics or twists that help keep the station activities feeling fresh. That said, Tidal Wave is easily my least favourite. It's set on a separate map with its own save file and essentially offers the same gameplay with a different aesthetic. It really should’ve been developed as a separate game entirely, with more depth behind it. I also think the DLCs are priced too high for what they offer and would be better bundled with the main game in some way.

This Game was good when it came out and now it's just a mess of crap they can't decide what they want to do first gas station then a airport then a junk yard then a drive in movie and now their working a camp ground and never got shady deals was hoping it something to with the gas station which was talked about when the game came out party time DLC is waste of money and time We never got semi trucks or big trucks in general when came to customers and tidal waves just anther DLC that was a new place but not much their so they keep adding just not to the gas station you started with so your running around to all these place and trying to keep them going Dev's can you please focus on the gas station the reason I bought the game in the first place thanks

Gas Station Simulator is chaotic, messy, and oddly satisfying. You start with a rundown station in the middle of nowhere, and slowly turn it into a fully functioning business. Managing customers, stocking shelves, cleaning up, fixing cars — it’s all more fun than it should be. The charm comes from the unpredictability and the feeling of progress. It’s not perfect, but it doesn’t need to be. A great mix of management, humor, and hands-on gameplay. Surprisingly addictive.

I'm changing my original review, it was written in frustration and was unfairly negative to the devs. After getting through an initial launch issue that seemed to be related to Unreal Engine not liking something on my PC, I've been able to play for over 20 hours and it's been running pretty well overall. I had one physics bug crash that they've since patched. The devs have reached out to me about the launch issue and I'm happy with the response. Plus I really enjoy the game loop, it's actually a lot of fun, so ultimately I would recommend this game.

I personally enjoy the game, but it definitely has its flaws - the base game by itself is pretty stable, but not well-optimized. My PC runs most things fine (think HZD, FFVII remake) but after playing this for a couple hours it starts to lag, my PC starts to heat up, and will eventually crash. Before it crashes, it starts having weird bugs. I guess that vies me a good reason to stop playing for a while, but it's not a good sign of a stable build. I like the ability to offload tasks onto your employees, which is definitely necessary if you expand really at all. However, I really wish I could have more employees and have them do more things - run the cinema, unload trucks, run the car wash, etc. I know the car wash gets an automatic version, but it does seem silly that I can buy a tablet that allows me to place orders from anywhere and I still have to personally go to the fuel tank to spin a wheel or the warehouse to unload the truck.

This is one of those rare indie games that despite the quirkiness and "rough around the edges" whether it be DLC, previous games, or just initial launch bugs, the team comes back and does an admittedly impressive job at not only hearing out the community and trying to fix bugs and patch things up but also continues to add more to the game. I'll admit I took a long break from playing, but once the free drive-in cinema dlc came out (and when I had a little bit of money to spend on paid dlc I didn't have yet) I was hooked once again. The fact this diamond in a sea of what some would call an over saturated market of simulator games (some good, some blatant copies of other popular sim games) stood out from rest to me and still brings me back after all this time is why it deserves the recommendation I'm giving 10/10 can't wait to see what comes next for this team <3

I love this game and recommend it for anyone who loves management genre games, this game has A LOT of options for management running a gas station from fueling vehicles, product sales and warehouse stock, to auto repair. The DLC also adds more options for management to the game. Even though it has bugs still that happen from time to time with customer vehicles getting stuck and such, the developers added buttons throughout the game to allow the player to manually reset the whole map.

Horribly optimized game. Game overall seems fun and interesting, but after playing for ~30 minutes, the game just randomly drops to around 15 fps for no reason. Even when I have the graphics settings on low, FOV the lowest it could be and giving the game the highest priority in task manager it is STILL at 15 fps. From what I've read from others, I'm not the only one, people with at least 3x better setups than me seem to have the same issue.. It also seems like the devs are aware of this but choose to ignore it and pump out more DLCs instead..

Performance issue, from time to time it will lag veryyyyy lag for no reason and I using mid-high PC RTX 4070 TI super 2. Very grinding for no reason, in single player game it not have reason to have super grinding game-loop 3. Not very intuitive UI some time I not sure what game want me to do 4. A lot of minor bug, individually it not bad bug when this game around 10 of them it start to annoying I think this game have potential but need a lot of improvement So buy it when sales
