very dystopian. wish the game was longer, too short for my liking but not a bad game. liked the way sequences were laid out and the visuals were okay. the bright contrast between interactive items and normal items were cool and made sense with the themes. sweet details and the story was good, just also sad and too short. wish the possible endings were different/had more to them? i personally wasn't pleased with them but it made sense story wise so i can't complain much. don't like how the game is so expensive for what it has to offer though. doesn't seem worth it. too expensive for too short of a game that doesn't even bring that much of a impact in a gaming experience. i'm surprised to see reviews are literally just positive. i interacted with every item i could, got all achievements and still felt... MEH about the game. would recommend just watching a youtube walk-through rather than paying $25 CAD for it

This is a rare piece of science fiction where the human elements far outshine the sci-fi elements, and that is saying a lot, because the sci-fi parts of this game are extremely good. The nonlinear story that they tell here with very few characters is moving, beautiful and tragic. It made me think about the time that we have and it reminds us to not take anything for granted. My one major qualm was with the way that you navigate through the different memories. Maybe I missed a queue somewhere, but I was about halfway through the game before I realized that there even was a "home base." I felt a bit lost as I was just slipping from one memory to the next. Once I discovered that you can always return to the "present," it started to make a lot more sense and I finally had a grip on what I was supposed to be doing. For some, that may be a good thing. Lots of folks prefer to have very little hand-holding in their games, but I thought it was an odd fit for a narrative adventure (walking sim) like this. Most of the puzzles are extremely good. It would have been easy for them to constantly rely on someone having written down a combination or password on a post-it note, but they really only do that a few times. Quite a few of the puzzles required some actual thought and the game demands that you truly pay attention and fully explore the spaces. I'm thinking in particular of trying to guess the combination for the main character's wife's phone. Great game. I wish that more people knew about it, and I think I'd probably even play it again some day.
