Ex-Zodiac

starfox with some gundam influence thrown in! this game feels so good to play and is very responsive. if you like rail shooters, bullet-hells, or retro sci-fi games in general then you should definitely support this dev!

The closest thing to scratch that Star Fox / Star Fox 64 itch I've had since I was a kid in the 90's. It's clear that Ben Hickling has put their heart and soul into creating Ex Zodiac. The game is great. It's fast, it's snappy, the sound is great, the soundtrack is superb, and it's filled to the brim with STYLE! So vaporwave. So nostalgic. So A E S T H E T I C Ben continues to deliver great content, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what's to come for Ex-Zodiac <3

Fun space shooter like a similar franchise that doesn't get any games. Controls are good, music is cool, I like the look of the game. My arm got a bit sore spamming shoot but oh well

Great mostly-on-rails arcade space shooter, basically Starfox Mania, halfway between the SNES and N64 versions, with some Space Harrier thrown in. Vibes are off the chart, difficulty is in the sweet spot where levels can take a few tries but don't feel unfair. Very excited for future updates!

This is one of those where I hate to have to pick a thumbs-up or thumbs down. I'm going thumbs down based on some super petty stuff that should really have been covered. Also I would recommend you check-out whisker squadron also from this developer. You think you want starfox, but really what you want is new starfox. Things I liked: * Scratched the starfox itch, but so much better as this runs way better than 15 fps * I was pretty much able to ignore the characters in the game. Things I did not like: * Immediately go into controls, map the bomb to an unused button so roll-right doesn't do both. SMGDH with this. * Immediately go into controls and toggle-on rapid fire. My goodness. * I don't know how/what/why, but something about this did not hit. The obstacles to avoid gave no sense of satisfaction if they were avoided or not and that's a big miss from starfox, here. * No difficulty toggle. Even something so small as adjusting the shield level up/down. * Bosses had the same problem where I couldn't really tell if I was missing or getting hit. The first bosses arms swing-out and I just didn't get that satisfaction of "missed me" because sometimes it felt like I was still getting hit even when I was pretty sure I avoided it. I think this was likely pretty mega 3 years ago when someone finally cracked the starfox code.

Fantastic fun. Fans of Star Fox especially will love this game.

Good, if you want to play something inspired by StarFox64

Best Star Fox type game I've found yet. Love the retro look and game play is spot on. Way better than Whiskers imo. Only complaint is that I don't have time to read all the chatter like I did in Star Fox. Voice acting would work but lose the charm, maybe space them out a bit better inbetween gunfights? I can't wait until this one is finished tho, great job devs.

Absolutely mint little game, If its On sale its a no brainer just grab it
