This is a great DLC to a great game, it adds a new great map that is different to the original and plays and looks differently, and it makes battles have a huge scale, you can have lots of units in one battle, the new map is awesome, it has more hiding spots than the original one, and there are a lot of mountains and high terain arround to scout, and it actually has a lot of vegetation when compared to the original. The british have been added, and they are great, they have some interesting vehicles, like a recon vehicle with an AT rifle on the front, or the churchil tank, i found it really fun to play as them. I only had one problem with this DLC, and its probably a combination of the larger scale battles and the more detailed map or a bug, but performance isn't always great, i have a pretty high end rig (I7-4771, gtx 1070 and 20 gb of ram) and the game ran badly sometimes, this could be because of the detailed map and high scale battles, but it could also be a bug, because i couldn't run some campaign battles at a constant 60fps (some even going lower than 30) but custom battles ran at almost always 100fps even in large scale battles, so keep in mind it could be a weird bug or my fault for playing arround with mods, so take this criticism with a pinch of salt. But this DLC is great, it adds a HUGE ammount of content for only 15$, why wouldn't you buy it?

Overall, if you're a fan of the Graviteam Tactics series, you'll enjoy this regardless. Plenty of set-piece battles with whole nests of defenses lining the elevated cliffs and orchards. Odds are, this is what makes this DLC pretty straightforward. If you new to the developer and already took the plunge down the rabbit hole that is Tank Warfare, you'll find a good place to learn here. Longstop Hill is one of the few DLC (for me at least) that aren't throwing so many new toys out and additions in your face. There certainly is plenty to discover but I feel that the nature of these two operations (at least starts out) to be very concise and to the point. Defend the hill or attack the hill (both depending on who you're playing as and how well your first encounter with the enemy went). The strategy is still there, and plenty of nail-biting moments await you. The sheer thrill of lining up all of your troops on the hill top-range and scattering plenty of smaller units in the trenches down at the base and waiting... will the enemy probe your defensive lines looking for a weak spot (or for you to reveal your positions)? WIll they say "&%$@ it" and launch at your across the whole map? Or, will they roll from side to side giving you everything they have until your men break? If you like the glee from formulating a plan, and having the enemy run into every trap you set or the anxiety from wondering whether Ulrich and his 4 remaining troops at the base of the hill can hold out just two more minutes. Then this DLC is for you.

A new nation to play with and a new, beautiful - and most importantly - different-looking map! As someone who doesn't like the brown desert landscape as much as the green or snowy environments of Mius Front, I find that this DLC adds a lot of new content and variety. Seeing American and British units really makes me wish for a Western Front Graviteam Game.

The map introduced in the DLC is probably my favourite one in any of the Graviteam games. The green landscapes are fantastic to look at (personal preference admittedly). The titular “Longstop Hill” adds verticality to the fighting that most other campaigns lack. There is a good mix of waterways, fortifications and small settlements to complement the large hill. Minefields also add another tactical layer, but they are not so pervasive as to become a headache (like e.g. in Operation Pugilist). Be it in the main operations or battle editor its a joy to fight a battle anywhere on the map. Speaking about the main operations they are decidedly in the favor of Commonwealth forces balance wise. Whether or not this desirable is up to you. Just be aware that the 29-turn operation is not a fair fight as some other operations are.

Expect to be doing a lot of tank desant in this if you're attempting manuver warfare, and expect to have to allot tanks specifically to moving troops around in your rear as there is a massive shortage of trucks in this campaign, I really enjoy this type of impromptu manuvere warfare, so if you're interested in that type of thing give this a shot.

The large and expansive firefights that develop on this one can be fun to watch. Strategist's paradise. Churchills/ 88's for the win.
