Admit it — when you were a kid you used the floor, carpet, walls, bathtub and even the dirt in your backyard to race your mini cars; didn't you? Well those days are back and this time Mom won't be yelling at you for making a mess.

Horrible micromachine rip off game. Don't bother, there's much better alternatives on steam that aren't a waste of your time, like Toybox Turbos. Get that instead, it's just a buck or more than this atrocity (during the summer sale) and well worth it.

A fun throwback to games like Micro Machines and RC Pro Am. It controls pretty good with a keyboard and the mini cars and pickups are all in a real toy style. The tracks are very varied and richly detailed. I had fun playing this with little niece, if you have small kids (or are a kid at heart yourself of course!) this is a good purchase. There is no controller support built in but using a mapping tool works well, although as said the keyboard controls work fine for a casual top-down view racing game like this.

I purchased this game for my son. He loves racing games and this was the best one with easy keyboard/mouse controls and challenges to keep him happy for hours. There was a problem with the game itself playing after purchase, but the developer responded to my forum post quickly and the issue was resolved within a couple of days. I'm very happy with both the game and the company that produced it and I would recommend MiniOne Racing to others who want a racing game with simple controls, bright, colourful graphics, and a surprising amount of skill needed to get through some of the minigames.

Decent, compared to the pile of junk found at its price. It lacks the option to pause or restart a race.

This is a racing game but with annoyingly difficult controls, going forward is fine but any other direction, especially backwards is time consuming and will usually put you in last place if you're in the Racing League, or will outright fail you if you're in Jump. There are four modes, each of which is distinctive. First is the Racing League in which you drive round a track a set number of times using the items that don't get explained to you, Second is the Free Track which is similar except you play either on your own or with friends, although I don't think this game is active enough to play with other people, which is unfortunate. The other two are Equilibrium in which you try to navigate an obstacle course without falling off, and the last mode is called Jump, in which you literally jump off a ramp using boosts to see how far you went. Without an explanation on what the power ups do, I've been accidentally helping my competitors win matches. A tutorial would've been helpful. Overall, the game itself isn't great, but it's not that bad either. However, It's definitely not worth the price tag.

MiniOne Racing is an ancient game from 2008. It's a whopping 15 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for any modern gaming display resolutions, hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on modern gaming PCs. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an ancient game. It's a mediocre mini-car/toy car racing game with some powerups and a little vehicle combat thrown in, which would be ok if the execution was tolerable, but it's not. Apart from the absolutely terrible top-down-ish camera angles, there's a graphical glitch that makes textures pop and appear distorted... it's distracting enough that the game isn't properly playable. The developer knows about this but chooses not to fix it, yet, unethically, continues to try to scam gamers into buying a knowingly broken game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. Because the game is broken and unplayable for me, it may also not work for other gamers. This is a solid reason to approach this game with some skepticism. MiniOne Racing is relatively expensive for an abandonware nostalgia gouge, and it's not worth it. The game is just too old, hasn't been modernised. And as the old saying goes, you can't go home again.

Game doesn't work well with a controller. Race games aren't worth playing without one.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
