TLDR: 2000+ hour veteran who fell in love with a tactical masterpiece in 2017, now watches it die a slow death because of the soul-crushing changes that Ubisoft has, and continues to implement to this game
The Rise and Fall of Rainbow Six Siege
I first played R6 in 2017 on my PS4. It was my first realistic tactical FPS and I was completely hooked by the unique gameplay loop and mechanics. I was lowkey addicted, platinumed the game in 2 years, grinding ranked with friends from 7 AM to 5 PM during high school summers, and continued playing when I got my PC setup. I witnessed what was in my opinion the rise (2016-2021), downfall, and funeral of the R6 I knew and loved playing.
When Everything Started Going Wrong
The beginning of the end was when the Ubisoft split the R6 devs to create this new game called R6 Extraction. To give some context, there was a limited time mode called Outbreak during operation Chimera where it was like R6 and COD Zombies had a baby. It was pretty fun while it lasted and it was well received by the community, but poopisoft decided to make it a separate paid game that expanded on it. Content creators given early access to that game had some pretty negative things to say about the game and same thing goes for when it was released for the public. While all this was happening, R6 started losing its soul and gained so much downhill momentum that even the original developers couldn't recover the losses. The quality and quantity of the content dropped significantly and below are some examples:

One operator per season with recycled guns (we used to get two operators with new weapons and a new, not reworked, map)

New gun/s every 2-3 seasons instead of with every operator release

Map reworks nobody asked for that the commmunity either hates or bans constantly in ranked

The original recruit removed , one of the last pieces of original content that made the game fun
The list goes on but this review is already going to be very long.
What Made Siege Special is Gone
The developers listened too much to crying pros instead of preserving what made the game fun. The game took a turn and started sacrificing realism and tacticalness for balancing sake:

Caveira's old pistol - reworked, not as fun anymore

Ash and Jager ACOGs - removed (R4-C acog is back but it was gone for a very long time and it is not the same as it was before)

2-second timer before detection when going outside as a defender - removed, apparently attackers know the exact and precise location of your character's head the moment your toe touches the outside of a building

Widespread ACOG availability - stripped away and replaced with 1.5x scopes that in my opinion, didn't change much and did not address the root of the problem they were trying to solve and arguably made it worse

Valkyrie cams being placeable outside - removed

Zofia's withstand ability - banished (okay so this one was actually unfair and turned the tides on one pro-league round, but it was moving toward an interesting idea of operator-specific passives unique to their lore that I would have liked)

The Fortnite-ification of Siege
The game gave off mobile game and fortnite vibes with how beginner friendly and arcadey it felt after some changes. No shade to mobile games and fortnite as I enjoy them too, but what makes them enjoyable is not something that R6 should also implement, but unfortunately did which ruined the immersion and realism:

Mobile game-like UI that destroyed immersion and I aesthetically didn't like

Enemy outlines where there used to be none

Free base game operators (you used to have to earn them)

Free attachments (another thing you had to work for)

Battle passes locking cosmetics behind a paywall for a game I already bought. Free games like fortnite or apex legends make most of their money through cosmetics but for a paid game like R6, just put new free content in the bag bro

Ridiculous skins that shatter any sense of tactical realism. Don't get me wrong I love the april fools cosmetics but it has gone out of hand with the new paragon skins that look like they came straight out of valorant.

What I Miss Most

Night maps and old graphics that felt atmospheric

Plane map and other classics are unplayable. The Plane map is not even in the casual map-pool and only in custom game. The new House and Hereford Base map is too different from the old map to call it a rework.

Situations mode and Original Terrorist Hunt - situations were a nice and challenging way to learn the ropes of the game and introduces the player to the lore of the game. It also used to be a way to play old maps that were reworked.

 Recruit Rushing

The lighting, old recoil, and slow-paced tactical gameplay (could be a skill issue because everyone sucked back then and didnt treat this game like COD search and destroy)

Realistic Operator trailers when you first unlock them

Sound is Horrendous
For a tactical shooter that makes you heavily rely on sound to locate enemies, it is pretty unreliable and makes you question whether you suck, need a new headset, or the sound design sucks (its this one btw). Im pretty sure my hair loss is due to me pulling my hair everytime I die to an enemy which sounded like they were coming from the opposite direction.
Cheating Epidemic
From 2021 to 2024 was when I started mainly playing on PC and cheating was absolutely rampant. While it's somewhat under control now (Im not entirely sure as I dont play much ranked nowadays but I hear its gotten better), it felt like poopisoft was prioritizing other stuff instead of their anti-cheat. Don't even get me started on xim and MnK users in console controller only lobbies.
The Final Nail: Operation Siege X
They hyped this as "a new era of siege" that they'd have been working on for years, the "biggest transformation" claiming to make siege great again by improving graphics, developing core elements resulting in more tactical gameplay, and new ways to play. I still had hope. I installed the game and the new update, and played a few games. Didn't notice any huge difference on both graphics and gameplay. New ways to play? meta was still the same with same objectives and standard approach to each objective from both sides. Felt stale and bland. I immediately realized this IS what siege is now, it is definitely not for veterans who remember what made this game special. Since they advertised this as the "new era of siege", I slowly came to the realization that the siege I fell in love with a long time ago is dead and will never come back and this new siege is what the developers intend to expand on in the coming of years.
I immediately uninstalled. It just wasn't fun anymore.
For New Players
If you're looking for a tactical, realistic FPS experience, you're about 7 years too late. The closest I've gotten to that original R6 adrenaline rush was from playing Escape from Tarkov and Arena Breakout: Infinite.
The Verdict
Rainbow Six Siege 2016-2020 was a tactical masterpiece. Rainbow Six Siege 2025 is a hollow, arcadey, and cash-grabbing shell giving you the bare minimum while wearing the corpse of that masterpiece as a skin.
The game I loved is dead. This review is its eulogy.
Save your money and find another game and company that respects both your time and energy

Ugh, the cheaters in Rainbow Six Siege are absolutely ruining the experience. It’s like every time you’re finally starting to feel good about your game, some guy just shoots you through walls or pre-fires every corner. It’s so frustrating! It doesn't matter how good your team is, you’re just bound to get one or two cheaters ruining everything. The hackers are everywhere—aimbots, wallhacks, you name it.It’s honestly becoming so hard to take the game seriously when it feels like half the time you’re just trying to fight the game itself and not just the other team. And even worse, Ubisoft’s anti-cheat system doesn’t seem to catch them fast enough. Sometimes the cheaters are in your match for what feels like forever before anything gets done. It’s not just about getting a loss, either. It’s the whole vibe of the game—everyone starts getting annoyed, people leave, and then you’re stuck trying to 1v5 or whatever. It’s exhausting. Why even bother grinding if half your games are just ruined by these clowns? 😤
Don't bother
The days when one could squeeze a single ounce of joy from this game are long gone. R6 Siege has gradually had all the fun stripped away over the years, all in order to please humorless competitive grumps. But the kicker is - this game sucks as a competitive experience as well. If you want a better bang for your buck then I recommend picking any of the older installments and skipping this one altogether.
Dancing on Tom Clancy's grave
What started as a series of realistic, tactical shooters in accordance to late Mr. Clancy's work, has now become a stew of completely clashing ideas. If you thought this game is anything like Squad or SWAT, or if you came back after 10 year break, then launching this game is going to feel like a sledgehammer to the face. Spacesuits, ninjas, medieval knights, edgy skaters, f*cking Rick and Morty skins - why does every game these days want to be Fortnite? They are sacrificing their own identity for pennies, but that is to be expected from Ubi. Just release a sh*tty new skin and ram it down their players' throats.
Balance
They ruined the game in the name of "balance". Rainbow looked really pretty in the beginning but at some point the development came to an awkward gridlock, when they discovered that the game can't look nice, be competitive and offer some fun at the same time. So they went after what brings the most money - competitive scene. This 200 IQ move resulted in them having to fix the balance of the game, because the devs clearly do not like people playing the meta - so they rekalibrate the damage, health, gadgets, weapons etc. all the time, seemingly at random. And don't even get me started on cheaters. Let me elaborate - despite ubisoft displaying the bans in real time (which is completely unsolisited, obscures the kill-feed and needs to be disabled by hand) there is a cheater in every other match. Trying to git good in this game is a rookie mistake - just have fun in silver - beyond that it makes no sense. Oh, but wait. The rank you see isn't actually the rank you have. The former is reset after each season (presumably to reset the hard-stuck players) but it doesn't matter because the real rank is hidden and can only be seen through 3rd party app (wtf??). This is the real thorn in my side. They blow the smoke up my a*s after each rankup - but my real rank never changes and I keep getting my rear handed back to me no matter how much I derank. There is no point in trying anymore.
Bugs
It baffles me how a game developed for so long can have so many bugs - and each update brings a fresh truckload of them - some may cause retina-obliterating glitches, some may cause unexpected gameplay issues. Most likely you will get kicked without any option of rejoining the match. Seriously, you need a miracle in order to rejoin an ongoing match. The wi-fi went bust in the middle of the match and want to continue with your phone hot-spot? Forget it, here at Ubisoft we don't consider such edge-cases as user losing the Internet for 3 seconds. Of course you will get banned, it's your fault for not living in the NASA headquarters. This scenario made me blow my fuze more times than I can count. The list of bugs I documented is staggering and it keeps getting bigger. The best thing is, the most recent update - Rainbow Six X - was supposed to fix a majority of problems and instead it just made things worse. At this point I feel like there is zero chance, this game is ever going to be stable
Ashes to ashes
Not gonna lie, the future of R6S is looking pretty grim. I feel like they should just give up on trying to fix this game, just make it fun again by rolling back all the sad "competitively viable" updates and let people go wild. Also sorry for the puns, I hope they won't be echoing in your heads for too long. And if you don't agree - I will head my way and you goyour way.

Siege X is the biggest scam I've ever seen in a video game. Barely changed the game at all. Developers hyped the new map changes, but only applied it to 3 maps at launch of the update??? The entire game is exactly the same as it has always been, desync ruling every gunfight. Community is super toxic, ranked system relies on hidden MMR, so current rank holds no weight in matchmaking. That means that if you make it to say, Emerald 2 one season, the next season reset will reset you to copper, and continue to put you against emerald opponents. This makes ranking up the most miserable grind of any game out there. Would not recommend investing time into this game.

In its current state I genuinely don't recommend it.
With Ubisoft's "new and improved" anti-cheat comes somehow the worst cheating epidemic this game has ever faced.
This is my favorite game ever created but there's unfortunately no way to remove the ubisoft part of this game, otherwise it'd be peak.

It's dogshit...it's finally dogshit. I have had this game since 2015. I have 6,126.6 hours in game. I've been through operation health and every other horrible season. The game is now unplayable. Every mode and every match, you have modders with wallhacks, aimbot, no recoil...you name it. I've bought every battlepass except this one. Ubisoft can lick my balls from the backside...this is the worst the game has ever been.

Let me preface this review by saying, I fucking LOVE Siege's fundamental game concept and how the game is played. Concept-wise, it is easily my best tac-shooter that I've ever played.
However, Siege X has fundamentally ruined the game.
Hit-Reg problems that make me second-guess every shot and make me have more hours on the replay system than matches played.
Blatant cheaters just FAFO'ing around our matches.
Shitty matchmaking system that sets you in a endless loop of 4-1 to 1-4 then back to 4-1 and then again 1-4 over and over and over and over and over again.
Unranked is borderline unplayable thanks to F2P fucks just not learning how to play the game and just speed-running levels
Game-breaking glitches that takes WEEKS to resolve somehow (Castle breaking matches, Outback having an exploit which let you rappel-phase through a wall.)
The sound system is so abyssmally bad and misleading at times, it has made me and my duo question whether or not we put our in-ears the right way.
Everytime a major game company changed their major 5v5 games to a new engine and announced major changes and plus points, it has been an absolute disaster and Siege X is no exception to that rule.
What a dissappointment. The game took a step forward and got hit by a car back to the starting.
EDIT: Will I keep continuing to play this game because I still am in love with the actual fundamentals? Yes. Will I still hate the devs for completely ruining this game? Also yes. But if you're expecting a genuinely good tac shooter, you missed it until they fix this game. But considering it took them 1-2 weeks to fix Castle's game-breaking bug and the rappel glitch on Outback AND the track record for "sequels" or "engine changes" of 5v5 shooters, I simply have no hope.

ubisoft is out of touch
we're going to see a lot more titles with x in the name.
operators become obsolete every update. constant back and forth updates pandering to pro players, they don't even call it realistic anymore, which was the appeal of the game in earlier years.

This game will:
--Crash your computer during a ranked match (no it doesn't matter how much money you put into it)
--Take forever to re-launch the game after you restart your computer
--Refuse to reconnect you to the match that it crashed your pc with
--Punish you for not being able to reconnect to the match that Ubisoft decided you were NOT ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES to play
--Those punishments include the loss of Elo and a 60 minute suspension from playing the game at all.
TLDR... F**k you ubisoft, your game has been broken for ten years. You have refused to address the glaring issues in your software to the point that I theorize that your development team derives sexual pleasure from the fact that every single aspect of your software ENRAGES the vast majority of the playerbase.

I wish I could recommend this game.
R6 is my most played game of all time and I have never played a game like it. The destruction, teamwork and the one shot headshot mechanic is what made me love this game when I first started paying on console in 2015.
That being said the game in its current state I would not recommend to anyone. As a new player you will have a daunting task learning the mechanics and strategies of the game, although this is what makes the game fun the game itself is very poor at creating an engaging and enjoyable way to learn these mechanics with a few boring tutorial missions that give you questionable advice.
Once you finally learn the game and improve and start to achieve the highest ranks in the ranked playlist you are rewarded with a blatant cheater every other game. Siege X recently introduced Shield Guard as a new anti cheat and it appears to be appallingly ineffective as although siege has always had a cheater problem the current season is the worst it has ever been with a 3-5k/d champion in every other game.
To report these cheaters there are only two ways one is by using the in game report feature which, does not work and won't help ban the cheater and the other is on Ubisoft's website where they will just close your ticket without actually reviewing it.
Cheating is not the only glaring issue with Siege X. A persistent problem throughout R6 history is Ubisofts inability to balance operators, weapons and gadgets. The most egregious example being Blackbeard who was so incredibly broken on release they nerfed him into the ground only to rework him and make him broken again.
One final point with Siege X are how atrocious many maps are in this game. Over the years they have added or reworked many maps turning uncompetitive fun maps into uncompetitive confusing labyrinths.
I will probably continue to play this game as there is nothing else like it but the moment a new game that is stricter on cheaters and is similar to Siege I will leave it behind.

Siege used to be a tactical shooter where every move mattered. Now it’s a chaotic, arcade mess. Every update adds more broken operators, unbalanced gadgets, and gimmicks that completely kill what made the game unique. It doesn’t feel like Rainbow Six anymore, it feels like a shell of itself chasing trends.

If they aren't Smurfing they are cheaters. i play blatant cheaters every other game. The Devs talked about how they were gonna fix the cheating problem but its worse than before siege X.
i see that i received a developer response saying i should go through the ubisoft website to submit a report. if that's what i have to do what the Hell is the purpose of the in-game report system? Players reporting cheaters shouldn't be the anti-cheat system. Just fix the damn game everyone knows there is a problem. Fix it.

Also fuck Ubisoft and their always-online policies, and double fuck them for trying to charge me for the game a *second time*.

Horrendous game that crashes and takes 10 min to boot up. So poorly optimised it's unreal! It's designed to be pay to win as you need to play for 50+hours to unlock half the operators behind a pay wall and punish new players with maps designed by people that have never been in real buildings which make 0 sense. Worst. Competitive. Shooter. Ever! DON'T BOTHER! Update, while writing this review, I launched the game and it said I can't play because I am offline (while talking on discord to my friends)

I feel like the fact that it's Free to Play makes the overall experience a bit worse. While i'm not too picky on things, especially since the game is still playable, i think the fact that since the game is dealing with all the issues that a Free To Play shooter has (hackers, annoying teammates, etc), it is not as good of an experience as most might think from an outside perspective.

This game is shit, in every sense of the word. It's not fun, it's unbalanced, and the community is among the most toxic I've ever seen. Full of cheaters, smurfs, and every kind of scum imaginable. Want a list of all the crap from someone who bought this game at D1 10 years ago? Here it is:
- Operators are practically identical now, they don't know what to invent anymore and they recycle everyone's old abilities. Look at Ash with Zofia. Thermithe with Hibana, etc.
- Maps are too unbalanced in attack or defense, and obviously everyone exploits this with constant spawnpeaks or indecent bugs to get stuck in the worst spots of the map and get killed like an idiot.
- In competitive mode, only the bomb mode... Why? No hostage? Why no biohazard? Fuck you, Ubisoft, what did you create these modes for then?
- Impossible to rank up in competitive due to the problems mentioned above: too many cheaters, smurfs, who obviously find themselves on the opposing team... never on your own, never once do you manage to win 4-0 quickly... NEVER... i can barely sticking out from SIlver 5.
- Random lag issues, just like that, meaningless. And no, it's not my PC's fault; my friends with computers more or less powerful, more or less recent than mine, also experience this problem.
- Hyper-toxic community, almost worse than League of Legends. You get insulted, teamkilled, bodyblocked, reported even just for taking an operator from another person.
- Players who disconnect on the first round they lose, thus ruining the game for 4 other people.
- Schizophrenic Netcode
I'll stop here with the list, but there would be a thousand other things to say.
Looking for some positives about this game? There aren't any. I feel sick just thinking about playing another hour in this shithole. Do your friends want you to play with them? Change friends. Forget it, it'll benefit your mental and physical health. Play something else (preferably not made by Ubisoft), spend your money on a vacation, or have some quality time with your family. There are so many other games worthy of people's attention, don't waste your time here.
Bye. <3

If you are interested in playing ranked to climb this isn't the game for you. Emerald and higher you will find cheaters in 1 in 4 lobbies. Blatant aimboters with hundreds of games already played this season and wallers on freshly bought accounts. At first I summed it up to Siege X hype causing more cheaters but over a month in now and the cheater problem has grown greater than it was before Siege X. New Siege X anti cheat is somehow more of a joke then the old anticheat and the only way to get a chance at getting a cheater banned is to manual submit footage to ubisoft. A wonderful game for the casual player experience with great mechanics and gun play but if you are a competitive player hoping to have a decent time climbing expect many cheaters.

After over 12 years and 786 hours, I can confidently say: this game is no longer worth your time.
GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE – 3/10
The core mechanics feel outdated and frustrating. You're often thrown into matches against Champion, Diamond, or Emerald-ranked players while still grinding from the lowest rank. This makes every match feel like a struggle, not a challenge.
RANKED SYSTEM & PROGRESSION – 2/10
The ranked system is fundamentally broken. Frequent crashes result in penalties. Even if you play with your squad, the point system is so flawed that you're left behind while others move up. I'm now stuck in Bronze while my friend sits in Gold, despite playing the same matches and having similar performance.
PHYSICS & HIT DETECTION – 4/10
The physics engine hasn't aged well. You'll get shot through windows that appear intact on your screen due to desync issues. Hit detection remains a constant complaint — it's inconsistent and unreliable, and it's been that way for years.
ANTI-CHEAT & SECURITY – 3/10
Cheaters continue to slip through Ubisoft’s weak anti-cheat system. In a ranked environment, this is a game-breaking issue that ruins competitive integrity.
DEVELOPER SUPPORT – 2/10
Ubisoft has had over a decade to improve the game. They've tried and failed repeatedly to fix fundamental issues. Updates feel disconnected from community feedback and rarely address the real problems.
FINAL THOUGHTS
This game used to be tense, tactical, and fun. Now, it's frustrating, broken, and unsupported. After investing thousands of matches and countless hours, I can't recommend this game to new players or returning veterans.
Go find something else — this heap of trash isn't worth it anymore.
FINAL SCORE: 3/10

As of 6/21/2025, I have been unable to play the game for over a year. When I attempt to launch the game, it gives me an error on Ubisoft Connect stating, "There was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product. Please contact customer support if you need help in solving this problem." Unfortunately, customer support does not understand where my game went. According to the service agent, i had never actually purchased the game despite owning it on Steam, showing the receipt of my Steam purchase, along with my 100 hours + Achievements I had earned while playing... on Steam. Luckily, the customer service agent had a solution! Buy the game again on Ubisoft Connect. So, I do not recommend this toxic game because the developers may randomly decide you no longer own it.

Making this game free is the most ridiculous thing in the world. Now it's full of toxic kids.

This game is arguably one of the best comp FPS games to every dare grace this earth. Unfortunately, as anyone who has ever played this game and achieved even a crumb of higher ranked lobbies. Your odds of having a cheater in your game are about 50% whether it be your team or the enemy team. Blatant hacking is about 10%. This current season of Siege X is the WORST it has ever been - I am so beyond frustrated with this game because just how fun it can be when trying to scheme out a site take or theorycrafting strats to win games. I do not forsee this game being fixed (I am still going to play it).

This game aged like a big block of cheese that's been left outside in the elements. Being constantly pissed on by feral dogs, and some tame ones, but mostly feral. But occasional rain shows up, and everyone thinks it's all washed clean. But it isn't. The piss has seeped into the cheese and there is no way of fixing it. The only real solution is to drag the block of cheese into a gravel pit and shoot it with a gun and just leave it there, just like my role model did to her dog.

Initially, it was about operatives and cool tactical shooters. Now it's about how much pro lgbt, turning operatives into lesbians or homosexuals, and having a crippled woman with robots fight in special operations. They turned the tom clancy's franchise into a joke.

Anti-cheat is literally a lie. Literally 2nd most hacker infested (currently active) games I have played. First is CS so there is no competition there.

I used to like it when the game was grounded in reality. Nowadays its a another E-sports hero shooter with remnants of what made it great to me
New trailer show complete departure from a slow tactical shooter, into whatever it is now

I may only have 202.4 hours on PC but I played in the closed beta and spent years playing on Xbox. Whenever I look at Siege I feel betrayed. I loved this game and would play it every day after school with my friends. But its not the same game anymore. Throughout the years it lost its grit, its soul. It went from a tactical, dark and intense game to a Futuristic, crazy mess of random bs. I enjoyed it for a long time through its ups and downs but I wish they had stuck closer to its original Idea instead of where it went. If you haven't played it yet then I think you should give it a try but I cant recommend it. F*ck modern Ubisoft for ruining everything it touches.

yeah, Idk what Ubisoft even doing atp, I can't even have the game start up. Validated files, restarted PC, checked out Ubisoft Connect, etc. Just a fresh install after a year onto a SSD and bam, this game does not want to even get past the launcher without a crash report popping up lol

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE X — 0/5 Big Booms
Ubisoft Connect is less a launcher and more a cursed relic from a forgotten age of suffering. It’s like Clippy from Microsoft Word had a breakdown, joined a cult, and decided to take your gaming experience hostage.
Launching Rainbow Six Siege isn’t a game — it’s a rite of passage. First, you must log into Ubisoft Connect (good luck, password resets are part of the ritual). Then you wait 15 minutes while it updates files it updated yesterday. After that, you pray to the Ubisoft gods that cloud sync doesn’t break and reverse your hard-earned unlocks back to 2019.
If Dante were alive today, Ubisoft Connect would be the 11th circle of Hell, where the damned are forced to troubleshoot account linking issues while Siege updates itself forever.
Ubisoft should partner with escape room companies. “Want a challenge? Try joining your friends lobby”
I've had smoother experiences installing malware on Windows XP using dial-up.
The CIA should drop waterboarding and just hand detainees a Ubisoft login screen. They’ll crack in minutes.
Would I recommend this? Only if you're into psychological horror disguised as a tactical shooter. 0/5 Big Booms. The only thing that exploded was my patience.

Ubisoft let us old and veteran players down by silently shutting down a game that we paid for and replaced it with a new version that is free to play. Additionally, likely with this game now being free to play, there are micro-transactions that if an old or veteran player like me wants it, more $$$ would be required in order get the content.
Like many people, I was excited for the release of Rainbow Six Siege X, but once I found out that greed is taking over this game, I am very disappointed in this release.
If Ubisoft refunds my money for the game I paid for so I can play this game for free, I will gladly update my review.

Im sorry. But i need to say how gross this game has become on PC over the last 4 years. I made the switch to PC during shifting tides, I had about 2k hours on console and wanted to get into PC. I've been a consistent Diamond/Champ player for 2 years. This game is horrendous, and it's simply due to cheaters. The anti-cheat in r6 X is an absolute joke.
If you're any rank past emerald, every 3rd game you're going to match a cheaters, and that's not even counting the people you'll find closet cheating who will never get banned. I've played probably around 20-30 different cheaters this season so far in less than 200 matches, and I've gotten maybe 30 total rollback.
This game is no longer fun, you can't lock in because you never know if the people who are beating you are good, or if they just have soft aim and can predict your every move. The rank system is so broken by botters and boosters that half the time if the game thinks you're any good they'll just match you against pro leaguers. (I've matched G2 like 6 times).
Im stuck in an abusive relationship with this game because I grew up with it, it was a major part of my childhood and I'm going to continue to want to love this game. But Ubisoft truly makes it so hard to enjoy this game, and they do not put in enough effort to stop these reaccuring issues that have been a plague to this game for years.
Do not start playing this game, it's like the most toxic relationship you'll ever get into. You give everything you have, your money, energy, time, and you'll never be satisfied and never rewarded for your effort. Because at the end of the day, Ubisoft makes enough money from r6 that they don't even need to fix it to continue to do so. And they know that.
