Cities: Skylines - Downtown Radio

The music of Downtown Radio is totally neutral. The easy melodies and the flat arrangement will never get your attention. Perfect background music that does not bother or excite. It's just there, to blend, while you build. I'm having this radio very often playing, and is amongst my favourites.

This music is perfect if you like lofi, I wish radio packs didn't cost anything, but if you have extra money to spare then this radio pack is good.

Once again, we have a completely inaccurate product description from Paradox for a music DLC. If you are looking for "lounge" as the term was used in the 1950s and 60s, you will be sorely disappointed. On the other hand, if you want yet even more ambient house and chill-out in your Cities: Skylines experience, then purchase this DLC by all means. However, with the prior release of Relaxation Station and Deep Focus Radio, I have to ask if this DLC pack was even necessary. I mean, we get it, you're Europeans- you like house music. I guess it would have been too much to hope, though, that "Downtown Radio" might have been an "urban" rap/hip-hop/R&B themed pack. Even if one isn't a fan of that style of music, it still would have been a refreshing change of pace. In summary, I'm not unhappy with my purchase, but I'm not happy either.

Probably my favourite radio pack. The tunes are laid back and there are no lyrics, which is nice. Rock City has better tunes but they are distracting and don't fit with the tone or pace of the game. I didn't like the other radio packs (though I don't have all of them). But the ads are dreadful. They're neither clever nor funny. Worse, there's no built-in option to disable them. To do so manually, follow these steps: 1. Navigate to the folder where the audio files are located, probably <drive>:\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\Files\Radio 2. Rename the Blurb, Broadcast, Commercial and Talk folders to something nice and derogatory 3. Leave the Music folder alone 4. Enjoy ad-free content. Or whatever. You're free to listen to whatever music you want.

I downloaded and installed but it does not play in my game, just the same traditional CS music. It appears on the left side of the menu cheked in green but that is all. What am I doing wrong ?

Easily the best DLC Radio Station. If you are looking for new background noise for your city buy this station.

The songs are pretty decent when it comes to serving as background music. For that, it gets a thumbs up.
