The sheer realism of this game is absolutely amazing, realistic engagements, mostly realistic stealth mechanics, and the sniping is the most realistic out of every game out there, doesn't feel arcade like in the slightest. (granted i play at max difficulty, there are options that make it easier, but i feel even max difficulty is pretty fair, even though it IS unforgiving)
I've never had more fun in a stealth game in my entire life. Extremely satisfying, and has beautiful bullet cam sequences.
The only downside to this game is the simple fact that I. WANT. MORE.
If you don't like gore this game may not be for you, however you can get rid of the worst of it by turning off bullet cam.
I give this game a SOLID 11/10

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 delivers a thrilling sniping experience that stands out in the tactical shooter genre. As a fan of precision-based gameplay, I found this game to be a compelling blend of stealth, strategy, and skill, earning it a strong 4.5-star rating.
Pros
Fun: The game is an absolute blast, keeping you engaged with varied missions that challenge your sniping prowess. Whether you're picking off targets from a kilometer away or sneaking through enemy camps, the gameplay loop is addictively enjoyable.
Motivating: The contract-based structure pushes you to refine your skills, with rewards and upgrades that make each mission feel rewarding. The satisfaction of a perfectly executed long-range shot is hard to beat.
Intriguing: The story, while not groundbreaking, weaves enough mystery and tension to keep you invested. The open-ended maps encourage exploration and creative approaches to objectives, adding depth to the experience.
Great Feel of the Mechanics: The sniping mechanics are a highlight, with a satisfying balance of realism and accessibility. Aiming feels responsive, and the slow-motion kill cams amplify the intensity of each shot.
Cons
Prices Are Too High: The game's cost, especially with DLCs, feels steep for the content offered. Budget-conscious players might hesitate, particularly if they’re not die-hard fans of the genre.
Bullet Drop Isn't Always Accurate: While the sniping mechanics are generally solid, the bullet drop can feel inconsistent at extreme ranges, occasionally breaking immersion when shots don't land as expected.
No Co-op: The absence of cooperative multiplayer is a missed opportunity. Taking on contracts with a friend could have elevated the experience, especially given the tactical nature of the gameplay.
Final Thoughts
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a must-play for fans of sniper-focused shooters. Its polished mechanics, engaging missions, and rewarding gameplay make it a standout, despite minor flaws like inconsistent bullet physics and the lack of co-op. The high price tag stings, but the core experience is worth it for those who love strategic, stealthy action. With a 4.5-star rating, it’s a game I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying sniping adventure.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 - A solid successor to the first installment in the series!
This game took what was great about the first and expanded on it, with greater open areas, more stealth based gameplay and great long distance sniping targets.
If you enjoyed the first game, this is even better in my opinion as this is yet another game I always think back to and had a ton of fun completing. In this game you get to fight vehicles and armoured enemies. The verticality in this game is also higher than the previous installment and the maneuverability is also greater. With a larger variety of attachments and weapons and gadgets, this game really gives you the option of engaging like you want to.
Highly recommend this game to any sniping fan out there, great solid game! Looking forward to a third!

I've played all the SGW games and I personally think this is the best. The series evolved very nicely over the years. I've played only the first two missions at the time of writing (yes it's taken me 10 hours to do so, I'm 60 so I take my time). The second mission I absolutely loved. Wow! The verticality inside (yes, inside) the mountain base is pretty sweet. I got it on sale for $5 CA and it is well worth it. Aside from falling through the map on the 2nd mission once (which actually saved me from getting swarmed by the enemy - I had to reload the last save); I've seen little wrong with the game. P.S. I have found the third mission to be unusually hard, if not a bit unfair. I'd give it an 8/10

If you can get it for dirt cheap on a sale its very much worth it, but do yourself a favor and avoid paying full price, It has some annoying jank and design choices that left me very annoyed with the game by the end, the dot helper sometimes doesnt work, a bounty bugged out and I would have to restart the mission from the start to finish it, repetitive segments, the game as a whole is good but the little complaints add up. I got the game and weapon packs for like $8 total so I cant complain to harshly.

While the game itself is good, I enjoy it, there is fun to be had. However the bullet cam kills are somewhat lacking and the mechanic can actually cause some missions to be needlessly difficult, The array of weapons available is to be honest a let down atleast to me since within a short time you can easily upgrade to what you'll use the entire game unless wanting to purposely use one of the other weapons. While I will say the game is good and fun I will also admit I kinda regret wasting my money on it with how dull it can get within the first day of play, at this point I have only logged this many hours on it because I'm lacking anything else of worth to do, it isn't out of want I keep playing but rather a feeling that I need to clear it so that I don't waste the cash spent, I got the first game in the series as well and to be honest am now regretting it cause if it's more of the same which it's the previous game it will be, I am gonna feel like driving an icepick through my nasal cavity in an attempt to stunt myself so that I might actually feel like I'm not wasting what little precious time I have. Again will make sure to say the game isn't bad but frankly it sure isn't great, it's ok at best, if I want sniping I'll go pick up sniper elite, I'm sure it has issues to but atleast I'll know what to expect.

For a game that was released 4 years ago, it feels... okay. You get to use a variety of rifles, pistols and other weapons, but most of them feel underwhelming. The graphics are great. But the thing about this game is that it doesn't hold your hand. Even on the easiest difficulty, you'll feel a lot of pressure seeing as how enemies are easily alerted whenever you snipe someone. The worst experience is definitely the movement and traversal. Despite roleplaying as an elite sniper with fancy gear, you easily get stuck on a stone and just stop you from moving. But if you decide to jump over it, you fly up 3 feet in the air like some kind of kungfu master and expose yourself to enemies who spot you and get alerted in 0.8 seconds.
TL;DR: When playing this game, you'll definitely be hitting the 'LOAD LAST SAVE' option in the pause menu. Also, it's best not to play this as a way to cope with stress; this game just converts it into frustration and make you ragequit.
At least I got this at a 90% discount, but I didn't think this game would be an underwhelming experience. Would've refunded it if the gametime wasn't more than 2 hours.

Pretty good sandbox, intuitive sniping mechanics, and satisfying grind. a generally fun waste of time when you just wanna snipe bad guys.
not completely perfect, some of the challenges are teeth-gratingly frustrating, the campaign is VERY short, and the toolbox is a touch lacking in some regards.
Overall I'd rate it a 7/10. Fun popcorn game, but nothing groundbreaking

more challenging than the first one.. i got the first one for free on epic games and because of that i was inclined towards buying the second part. The sniping mechanics can be a bit punishing during longer shots, but definitely rewarding. Totally recommended

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a polished and ambitious entry in the tactical shooter genre that builds upon the solid foundations of its predecessor with refined mechanics, enhanced visuals, and a stronger focus on long-range sniping precision. Developed by CI Games, this sequel pushes the series forward by delivering a more expansive and immersive experience centered on methodical, patient gameplay where every shot counts. Set in a variety of Middle Eastern-inspired environments, the game combines stealth, strategy, and sharpshooting into a tense and rewarding package that caters to fans of realistic military simulations and sniper-focused action alike.
One of the most notable improvements in Contracts 2 is its emphasis on realism and tactical depth. The ballistics model is impressively detailed, taking into account factors such as bullet drop, wind speed, and breathing control, which adds a layer of complexity and authenticity to the sniping experience. This encourages players to plan their shots carefully, often needing to adjust for environmental variables over extreme distances, sometimes spanning over a kilometer. The game’s signature sniper gameplay is enriched by these mechanics, providing a satisfying challenge that rewards skill, patience, and precision rather than run-and-gun tactics.
The level design complements this sniper-centric gameplay by offering expansive open maps filled with verticality, multiple vantage points, and diverse pathways that encourage creativity and tactical planning. Each mission is designed with various objectives and optional challenges, allowing players to approach situations stealthily or engage in more direct confrontations depending on their preferred playstyle. The freedom to scout enemy patrols, set traps, and execute long-range takedowns in dynamic scenarios gives a gratifying sense of agency and strategic depth.
Visually, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 represents a significant step up from previous installments. The environments are richly detailed and atmospheric, ranging from sun-drenched deserts to mountainous terrains and urban areas, all rendered with realistic lighting and weather effects that impact gameplay and immersion. Character models and animations are also improved, lending more life and tension to encounters with enemies. The audio design further enhances the experience, with authentic weapon sounds, subtle environmental cues, and the satisfying crack of distant gunfire reinforcing the intensity of each mission.
The narrative, while not the primary focus, provides enough context and motivation to keep players engaged throughout the campaign. Players take on the role of Raven, an elite sniper operative tasked with dismantling a powerful terrorist organization. The story unfolds through mission briefings and occasional cutscenes that, though somewhat minimalistic, effectively drive the action forward without overshadowing gameplay. This approach suits the game’s core appeal—immersive tactical engagements rather than a heavily scripted storyline.
Multiplayer and challenge modes add replayability beyond the campaign, featuring time trials, score attacks, and cooperative missions that test players’ sniping skills and adaptability. These modes offer a satisfying way to refine skills and compete for leaderboard standings, though the single-player experience remains the primary draw.
However, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is not without its drawbacks. Some players may find the pacing slow, particularly in larger maps where hours can pass between engaging targets. Additionally, the AI, while improved, occasionally exhibits predictable patterns or moments of uncharacteristic behavior that can break immersion. The game’s difficulty curve might also be steep for newcomers unfamiliar with the intricacies of ballistics and stealth tactics, though tutorials and assist features help mitigate this issue.
In conclusion, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 stands out as a compelling tactical sniper shooter that successfully refines and expands upon the series’ core strengths. Its realistic ballistics, expansive mission design, and immersive audiovisual presentation combine to create an intense and rewarding experience that challenges players to think like expert marksmen. While it may require patience and practice to fully master, the game offers a satisfying blend of stealth, strategy, and sharpshooting that will appeal to fans of methodical military action and precision-based gameplay. For those seeking a sniper simulator with depth and polish, Contracts 2 delivers a memorable and engaging journey into the art of long-range warfare.

The game looks nice, and it's probably worth the 3.99 sale price. Unfortunately my experience as a new player has been confusing. For one, the save system will sometimes show a thumbnail of an actual save (mid-infiltration), only when loaded to push you back to the beginning of the mission. The infrequency of the saving also kills creativity as you can spend 10 minutes setting up for a cool shot or trap just to make one small mistake and have to spend all that time again. For a sniping game, you spend a lot of time in a "stealth" mode - and these mechanics are lackluster. Enemies >10 m from each other cannot hear their friends hitting the deck, and they even can return fire on you without raising the alarm on lower difficulties. In addition, there's certain mechanics (hold E for mine defusal until the action lines up) that are not explicitly introduced in the tutorial. This can be frustrating if your run is killed by one of these you haven't seen before. What frustrates me most is the clunky and otherwise animation-based movement. There's plenty of 20 inch mounds of dirt you have to walk around. In addition, it can be difficult disposing of a body over a cliff, for instance.

Very good sniper game, has a ton of realistic elements. My only fault with it is I wish the hardest difficulty was harder. The difficulties only seem to take away a couple visual helpers and I wish that it would either take away all visual aid or make the enemy AI a lot harder. Otherwise its the best sniper game I have ever tried and I hope to see more of this from this developer.

Gameplay is fun but being bogged down by poor objective designs.
Due to the "meh" map designs, you will spend too much of the time figuring how/what/where to do with objective(s).
This might be the only game I have played that blocked my progress due to annoying choices.

I really enjoyed playing every part of this sniper game series. Graphics, slow-motion mod, guns was pretty good. There were some bugs that bother me while I was playing. For example, when you shoot soldiers, their bodies go upside-down or get stuck in something, hilariously. Besides, the missions are not enough long, it's little and short. The missions must take longer than that or there must be many more. I will be looking forward to the next game of the series.

It punishes even the smallest mistakes but rewards patients greatly.
I softlocked myself about 2 times already.
1.) i got stuck in place, no moving around or doing anything but look around.
2.) I fell through the floor I think? anyway I ended up underneath the map.
Both where easy to resolve. Just reload an autosave.
It's lots of fun.

Steam has it on sale for three dollars, I think. Worth about that much. Otherwise, save your money! The graphics are basic, verging on crude and the gameplay is buggy. I was never able to even tag a hostile following the company's instructions. I'll watch this company in the future and avoid their products!

This game has significant issues that make it unplayable. The map design is confusing and lacks clarity, making navigation frustrating. Additionally, the developers included numerous messages within the game that insult specific groups of people. This kind of content is unacceptable and shows a lack of consideration for players.
There are also concerns about user privacy. Even if you decline certain permissions, it feels like personal information can still be accessed!
Overall, the combination of poor gameplay mechanics, offensive material, and potential privacy issues makes this game one to avoid.

You know when you've eating food and two bites in, realize it needs to go back in oven? This game needs to go back in the dirty microwave the dev team uses. Lazy, unambitious, broken exploits.
AI is either brain dead or hyper aware to your presents. if you are caught interrogating an enemy, his friend will patiently wait for you to stab his friend in the chest, than open fire and alert the rest. So if you reload a save, prepare to hear the same dialog. (Batman Arkham City ramdomize dialog did a better job in 2011)
You shoot an enemy and miss, if you are off by 1 meter, AI will know where you are a mile away in thick forest or hear a bullet cracking next to their head and tell themselves "wind."
The detection box for AIs is in front of their chest, so if they turn their head to look at you but chest forward, your invisible. (Dishonored 1 had balanced mechanics compared to this slop)
Are there different bullet kill animations to compete with Sniper Elite? Organs, bones, muscles, unique bullet placement, and the ability to wound certain body parts? Nope, but the game likes to show off the slo-mo cam to watch uninspired, unmotivating flub of flesh. Which if you place the "Red Dot" over a sprinting enemy from a mile away, will stop ALL movement, so go to settings to change the value to 4X to cheat.
So with this exploit, is there a setting to disable gravity and wind for simple mechanics because your already cheating and want to play the game how you want to play? No.
Do you have to wait for the melee prompt to appear instead of a seamless transition like Doom Eternal or further back...Far Cry3, making stealth frustrating? Yes.
In Resident Evil 4 (2005) We saw Hennigans/Bosses faces with special character movements and lips animations on a Gamecube. But not your commander or enemy facial expression on modern hardware.
If you replay the first level over again to complete challenges (which the game design isn't smart enough to make it where ALL challenges can be achieved on a single play through) you can unlock skills that a scout sniper would have day 1, like disabling mines or enemy equipment.
Story? Yeah, at this point I'd rather watch cut content from Ghost Recon, post Tom Clancy.
I dont want my money back, I want to give you more. So you can pay for the toll booths on your way back home where you made this, if you promise not to touch a keyboard again. You break your promise, it better be the next two steps of evolution for video games. Clean your breakroom first, I'm more disgusted by that than your lack of effort and ethic.

i'm writing this before I get this game refunded.
48 minutes in, some of the shittiest starting gear for the supposed most important initial kill in this campaign. a suppressed pistol that misses 8 shots consecutively to the back of someones skull a literal 5 feet infront of me.
a rifle that somehow wedged both shots. and a drop of 6 feet that took half my health bar.
I refuse to wait 3 hours only to find out my initial assumptions of how garbage this game is were infact correct, and then lose the ability to refund this trash.
go play the first game. it's way better.

dog shit game with dogshit missions, waste of time with no sense of satisfaction nor progression only frustration dissapointment because the side missions are just tedious to complete.
Absolute waste of time, good concept but the secondary missions like "kill these many enemies with a sniper
turret or kill someone while doing this and that" are just a piss take and trying to do them you spend alot of time and for no good feeling at all, only for a "god finally i finished that bullshit mission" not worth my time but thats just my opinion
