It begins with fire. Not the kind that warms — the kind that devours.
The city screams in sirens and smoke. Ash sticks to your skin. Streets you once knew twist into something unrecognizable, swallowed by panic and rot. The world feels like it’s ending — not with silence, but with teeth.
People run, but not fast enough. Doors slam, barricades fall, voices fade. Infection spreads like a whisper passed from hand to hand, and suddenly everything familiar turns hostile.
But the worst part isn’t the chaos.
It’s the rhythm.
The sound that doesn’t stop.
The footsteps.
Measured. Heavy. Inevitable.
You run until your lungs burn, and still — it’s behind you. Not hunting for food. Not for revenge. Just… to end you.
Walls collapse. Creatures claw through the dark. Streets become labyrinths of debris and blood. You keep moving, not because you’re brave, but because stopping means becoming part of the rubble.
Weapons buy you seconds, not safety. Choices feel like coin flips made in fire. And through it all, that sound returns: those steps, like a countdown you can’t reset.
But something awakens inside you. A refusal. A flicker of fight buried beneath the fear. You slam a door. You fire a shot. You scream not because you’re afraid — but because you’re still alive.
And maybe, just maybe, survival isn’t about escaping what chases you.
Maybe it’s about proving that no matter how monstrous the world becomes — there’s still someone in the rubble who refuses to break.

REmake 3 is a pretty good first half of a game. Sure hope they get around to sending me the rest of it some day.
Seriously though, this game took me about 4 hours to beat and that's in spite of doing lots of scavenging, exploring and messing around with my inventory. Half of the assets in the game are reused from REmake 2, and the Carlos segments of the game are honestly just not that good, with the M4A1 being probably the least fun gun to use in the entire game and them serving as an unwelcome break from the best parts of this incredibly short game, being hunted by Nemesis.
Nemesis IS pretty great in this. He's fast, he's lethal, he says The Thing (STARS), and the image of him chasing after you while one-handing a flamethrower is just plain fucking cool. That being said, he kind of goes downhill after that with his looney tunes rocket launcher and weird dog-form being considerably less intimidating than the early encounters in spite of their increased size and gooeyness.
The characters are alright. Carlos is your average good-natured wisecracking action hero (who somehow ended up working for the world's most obviously evil corporation ever) and Jill is a solid protagonist, even if she's a bit too 90's Strong Independent Woman™️-coded and half of her dialogue is her having to remind everybody she can take care of herself which manages to get tedious after a while in spite of how short the game is. I've heard some people complain about her not seeming hardened enough in this, but I really didn't get that at all. Capable badass or not, I personally think anybody who's being chased through a dying city by a fleshy terminator with a bazooka has the right to make a high-pitched noise every now and then.
Overall, REmake 3 is just not worth its price-point. People keep joking that it could've been a DLC for REmake 2 because it absolutely could be. It FEELS like a DLC. If you can get it at a heavy discount, I'd say it's worth 10 to 20 bucks for the experience of being chased through HD Raccoon City by Big Nemo, but at $40 it's a complete ripoff.

I don’t get the hate. I’m really enjoying this game, even going for all the achievements. Yeah, it’s not as deep as the original, but that doesn’t mean it’s trash. What it lacks in length, it makes up for with the graphics and the overall experience of playing something classic but completely renewed.
There’s just something cool about going through Raccoon City with modern visuals, updated gameplay, and seeing Jill and Carlos reimagined. The dodge feels smooth, the pace is tight, and nemesis still keeps the pressure on, even if he’s more scripted than in the og nemesis.
If you’re expecting an exact remake of the original, it’s different. But if you want a clean, fun, and replayable horror-action game, this one delivers.

Where Resident evil 2 remake felt like a bigger, better, more ambitious version of the original, resident evil 3 remake feels smaller, more stripped out, less interesting, less ambitious and far less impactful.
With that being said, this is still a very good game. A very good game that is tragically bogged down by its short length, it’s re-used assets and locations from the previous game, and by a failure to innovate or bring anything new to the franchise. It’s because of this, compounded by it’s hefty price tag, that despite how good it is in its short run time, it still manages to dissapoint.
Starting with the good, this game has incredibly gorgeous visuals and the detail in the environments and characters are truly jaw-dropping. The facial features of the characters were especially impressive as every gesture, emotion and muscle is captured so well and it really elevates the characters and the story. The combat is very snappy and the feedback you feel when you shoot or dodge is very satisfying. There’s a healthy variety of enemies that keep you on your toes from fear, and the combat sequences are impressive.
More importantly than anything though, RE3 has that classic resident evil horror atmosphere that we all know and have come to love. Eerie, somber and gory level design that are still filled with so much detail and color. Environments filled with small claustrophobic dark hallways and corridors that make you feel trapped in closed spaces with horrific undead. Skin crawling horror music that plays as you push forward knowing you will have to earn every room you enter. It is incredible horror and it’s what made Resident Evil a one of a kind franchise. This is all present in RE3 and it is an incredible thing to experience as always.
All of this, ofcourse, is overshadowed by its very short run time of 5 hours. it’s re-used locations from the previous game that wear out their novelty very quickly. its disappointing rework of the nemesis villain that feels forgettable and fails to leave an impression on you like the original. This failure to innovate, when mixed with a hefty price tag, results in a game that feels lazy and incomplete for a full standalone title. For this level of scale and content, this game should’ve been a DLC/expansion to RE2, not a fully priced title.
At full price, I just cannot recommend this game. It just does not offer anything new or fresh enough to justify its price tag, especially compared to it’s predecessor RE2.
But it’s still Resident evil man, and holy hell do I love Resident evil. Like yes it's got all these flaws but it's still Resident evil. It's still got all the hallmarks that makes this franchise so beloved and so good.
And that’s why, even though it was disappointing compared to the other games, I still recommend Resident Evil 3.
On deep sale that is.

Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 135:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (7/10)
Resident Evil 3 (Remake) is a slick, punchy, and high-octane reimagining of a PS1 classic that shines when it remembers it’s supposed to be a survival horror game. Unfortunately, it too often forgets that—swerving hard into action territory and dragging itself down with repetitive boss fights and a villain who’s more frustrating than frightening.
Still, there’s a lot to love here. The opening segment is incredible, the gunplay is tight and responsive, and Jill Valentine remains one of the most compelling protagonists in the franchise. If you go in expecting a fast-paced, zombie-blasting theme park ride rather than a tense horror crawl, you’ll likely come away satisfied. Just … maybe not scared.
🔫 Pros:

Strong voice acting and character animation. Jill’s performance carries the entire game. She's snarky, competent, and resilient in a way that feels grounded even amid the chaos. Carlos also gets more screentime and comes off more likable than in the original. The facial animations and lip-syncing are excellent.

Excellent gunplay and satisfying arsenal. Weapons feel punchy and impactful. Every shot has weight, especially with the shotgun and grenade launcher. The dodge mechanic, while timing-based, adds a fluidity to combat that encourages skill over brute force. Blasting zombies feels good.

Leans into survival horror in the early game. The first third of the game—in the city streets, dodging Nemesis in dark alleys—is the highlight. Resource management is tight, enemies are threatening, and the pace is just slow enough to build tension. For a brief while, it really feels like RE2 Remake’s moody sibling.

Visually stunning. Raccoon City has never looked better. Neon signs, rain-slicked pavement, and ruined storefronts give the setting a cinematic polish. The RE Engine continues to impress with lighting, texture work, and atmospheric detail.
😠 Cons:

Too action-heavy for its own good. While the remake starts strong with moody lighting and a desperate dash through a ruined Raccoon City, it quickly shifts into a bombastic action game. Explosions, set pieces, and waves of enemies dominate the second half. Ammo becomes too plentiful, resources are rarely scarce, and there’s little incentive to sneak past or carefully manage threats. The worst example of this was the "Defend Jill" mission. Just boring.

Nemesis isn’t scary—just annoying. Nemesis had the potential to be a terrifying, dynamic stalker like Mr. X, but instead, he’s reduced to scripted encounters and repetitive boss battles. His attacks are cheap: tentacle grabs from off-screen, leap attacks that break your flow, and set pieces where he teleports around to stop you. You don’t outsmart him or dread his presence—you just get repeatedly stunned and hope you can heal fast enough. He becomes a chore, not a threat.

Too many boss and mini-boss fights. Now, to be honest, I don't care for any boss battles in any game. I find them run of the mill and irritating. But Nemesis mutates into multiple forms throughout the game, and each time you fight him, it feels more like a routine than a climax. The arenas are often circular, the mechanics are shallow (dodge, shoot weak point, repeat), and the fights drag on. It gets to a point where you groan when the music swells, knowing you’re in for another 5-minute slog. It’s exhausting rather than exhilarating, and the lack of variation between encounters makes it worse.

Forgettable story and bland villain. The core plot—Jill escaping Raccoon City while uncovering Umbrella’s schemes—is functional but unremarkable. Nicholai, the primary antagonist, is cartoonishly evil and lacks depth or charisma. There’s no mystery, no clever twists, just explosions and shallow betrayals. Even if you don’t expect high art from Resident Evil, this story feels like it’s on autopilot. It’s hard to care about what’s happening when the characters themselves don’t seem that invested either.

Short runtime with linear, limited replayability. The game clocks in at about 5–6 hours on a first playthrough. While the remake does include unlockables, higher difficulties, and time trial incentives, its linear design limits replay value. Most players will see everything meaningful in one run, and aside from Challenge Mode unlocks, there's little reason to return.

Loss of survival horror tone. One of the biggest missed opportunities is tone. The first third of the game are genuinely atmospheric and intense—dodging through fire-lit alleys, hearing distant screams, and scavenging bullets in fear. But as the game progresses, the horror dissipates. You’re rarely afraid. Enemies stop being threatening and instead become obstacles between you and the next explosion. There are barely any classic RE-style puzzles, no real exploration, and no sense of creeping dread. Just more set pieces, and more bullets.

Honestly? Not too shabby
I bought this as part of the bundle with RE2R, and I'd say the bundle was worth it. Because of RE3R? No.
This game feels like a step-down from RE2R. Everything is heavily scripted, and you can't take a single step without a cutscene triggering. At some point I contemplated whether I was playing a game or watching a movie.
Lore-wise, it is fantastic. Gameplay-wise? Would never have bought this game outside of the bundle, that's all imma say...
Other than that, for the lore enthusiasts, I'd recommend it.

First time ever completing a Resident Evil game and wow, I love it. Wasn't as horror-focused as some of the other games in the series, but I think it thrives on having both more action in some and more horror in others. Was definitely intimidated by Nemesis when I first encountered him and barely had anything until it leaned more into the action, wish I could get more of that feeling of dread, but I know he's not Mr. X.
Peak series, peak game

I could rant about this game for hours but I'll put it in simple words. It failed to deliever MASSIVELY and Jill, dont even get me started. Nemesis was the only reason i attempted to try it and he even was butchered and doesnt feel scary or threathning. The original remains the best despite the gameplay being outdated. If you truly loved the original like I did from my ps1 days. Dont even bother with this. Not worth a single penny, even if its on sale. Waste of time. If anything go play re2 remake or re4 remake. At least those 2 delievered and are more memorable than whatever the heck this is

OK so allow me to explain why this Resident Evil 3 Remake isn't that good of game. First you need to understand how much content was removed from this was in the OG version (Resident Evil 3 Nemesis). In the OG version Jill had to navigate a HUGE city of Raccoon City and try to navigate throughout the chaos, They change it to just Street one to street two. It was also hugely interconnect too allowing you to go to from city to the sewers and to the sewers to Raccoon Police Department and vice versa. This means they op out of using cheap of resources as possible and taking away a huge semi free roam map. Even removing A IMPORTANT SEGMENT OF THE GAME such as the clock tower is now replace with a boss fight. Speaking of Nemesis I will like to talk about him, the difference between MR.X and Nemesis is that Nemesis is a force to wrecking with. However in this remake he like annoyance like that cartoon you hate as a kid because the hero is so stupid to fall for his tricks. Even Jill who if anyone has play the Resident Evil 1 knows that she sweet and emphatic towards the zombies but has to survival due to of her not wanting to become a zombie is now just a Hollywood Cop trash talking the tyrant which Nemesis doesn't have fully aware sentient mind. Oh yeah the game play? Just save up to you get the rocket launcher and it's not even a challenge. In my opinion this is THE ABSOLUTE WORST RESIDENT EVIL TITLE TO GET SOMEONE TO INTRODUCE TO THE FRANCHISE. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AND BUY FOR ACHIEVEMENTS.

Playing through the remakes as my first experience with the series I find RE3 to be a decent game, but not so much an RE game. I was really enthralled with the first game and the fact that its difficulty was based on puzzles and resource management. RE2 took a step into action based gameplay but retained the air of mystery and puzzle systems of the first game. RE3 tries to continue that trend with a few hiccups along the way.
Perhaps due to a constantly changing setting the game has few puzzles compared to the first 2. Leaning more into the action gameplay there is more of an emphasis on combat, but rarely is this combat difficult. On the standard difficulty the game gives you enough resources to kill every zombie you see and then some. The most difficult aspect then becomes using the finicky dodge system during chase sequences that have respawned those zombies.
Finally the story has little to no depth to it. Even with memos and notes littering the game in the same way the first two did, it didn't feel like any of them were worth reading save the ones that hinted at enemy weaknesses. The (main?) antagonist is uninspiring and makes decisions that make little sense even in retrospect, and the story isn't even always consistent between 2 and 3.
I can't say how the remake stacks up against the original, and I do believe it is actually an alright game, but in the end it was not a good as I had hoped it to be.

Jill is an absolute badass, determined to survive Raccoon City no matter what. Carlos really surprised me – charismatic, brave, with great lines and moments. The game’s shorter, but intense, packed with action and a story that keeps you on edge. Nemesis is a beast, never gives you a break. Loved the horror-action vibe – a different but memorable chapter in the RE series.

I liked the game, is better than RE2 faster, more action etc...way better. However i cannot accept a campaign length of less than 6 hours, literally less than 6 hours. There is no excuse, also is the same game as RE2 Remake, same weapons, game style etc...just some redesign and some new mechanics. They also copy pasted the RPD from Resident Evil 2, copy paste, all assets and everything. I buy these games together but if i had buyed this game at 50-60 euro's at release, damn if i would be pissed. I am letting negative review anyway, because they can't go away with this. But campaign is way too short with copy paste, assets and maps.

I really enjoyed the game despite its flaws and cut content. The action is fast-paced, the visuals are stunning, and Jill is a standout character. Nemesis brings some great cinematic moments, and Carlos’ expanded role was great. It’s not as good as RE2 Remake, but it’s still a thrilling, polished experience.

After beating the game after god-knows how long, i had a good time with it.
HOWEVER...
Once you get to the clock tower, everything from there on began to feel annoying, less scary, and made me role my eyes in frustration.
The Nemesis Boss battles is game-design at its worst, Stage 2/3 Nemesis boss battles are so clunky and broken it forced me to take a break from how excruciatingly irritating the mechanics to fight Nemesis are.
Jill doesn't feel like Jill, but feels more like a stupidly obnoxious, overly cocky, "Badass" protagonist that does not even resemble the kindness and courage the original Jill from the OG was. She just felt like the usual "Remake Version of OG Beloved character to be this Overly-Edgy and Serious version of said Character to fit the modern-era" type of character that we always see in so many movie/game remakes nowadays.
Carlos was fine, no probs with him i guess. Will be sad with a Carlosless world.
Gameplay was fun here and there, but there are so many problems that outway the good.
Zombies have this Grab Mechanic just like the RE2 Remake, but difference being this is the one attack they spam constantly to the point where 2 bite chunks from them and you're as good as dead. It also doesn't help that they spawn at every corner you turn and instantly get health depleted when coming to an objective, same goes for Nemesis. And i know alot of people say this game is alot easier than RE2R and the Zombies are less Bullet Spongy, but i'm gonna have to be frank and say that that's not what i experienced. For me the Zombies nearly took like, 4 to 5 headshots to stun em, then 3 to 4 more to kill them. And even when you kill them, and leave them there for a while, as you get back through that area THEY COME BACK. I do agree it's a neat mechanic to instill fear and the thrill of having to actually use your rations wisely, it doesn't work here cus the ammo drops in this game is insane. Had like 30 to 40 Shotgun rounds for the time i had. It doesn't really feel scary, it just feels infuriating.
Which brings me to the main problem:
Where the Hell was Nemesis?
Nem is the FRONT PAGE GUY of the game ffs, he's one of Horror's most beloved Stalker villains and to have him come back as this lackluster "Generic Stalker that only appears when progressing the story" is what really killed it for me. Mr. X was so good cus he was able to walk the R.P.D. Facility and be ANYWHERE in real time while you progress in the story. The only times X would be there with you while you progress would be when he's upgrading in appearance. This however doesn't happen for nem, instead, he ONLY appears when you're progressing the main story and is never roaming freely.
But as for now, RE3R is good from the beginning, but after that Clocktower segment, beware that it'll just go downhill from there.
6/10
This is a good example of a good game, but it's how NOT to do a remake.

Unfortunately, Steam doesn’t allow for a neutral rating, so I’d give it a 55/45 leaning towards the positive side.
It’s a good game, but it plays and feels like a downgraded version of REmake 2. One of the main drawbacks is the overuse of scripted sequences, especially during Carlos’s section in the RPD. Five minutes of gameplay → cutscene → open a door → cutscene. It gets a bit much. There’s also some lazy asset reuse from REmake 2. While asset reuse is common in game development, seeing the exact same zombie model appear just minutes apart feels really “cheap.”
All in all, it’s an important part of the series, and you should definitely play through it at least once.

The game looks incredible. Jill is badass. The city’s burning. The mood’s right.
But just when things really start to heat up… roll credits.
Fun? Yes.
Satisfying? Not really.
Scary? Kinda.
And Nemesis?
He’s not a villain.
He’s a strict personal trainer.
Shows up unannounced, screams your name like it’s boot camp, chases you through flaming alleyways, throws a dumpster at your face, and disappears because he’s got another client in 10 minutes.
You’re not in danger — you’re in cardio hell.
There’s fun to be had, no doubt. But compared to RE2 Remake’s slow-burn horror banquet, RE3 Remake feels like stylish leftovers reheated with fireworks.
Still a gorgeous apocalypse simulator — just one with commitment issues.
It’s like a beautiful disaster date — looks amazing, ends before dessert, and you’re left wondering what could’ve been.

just finished the game about 2 hours ago and here’s my thoughts about it:
first off, I really enjoyed this game and playing as jill valentine. the mechanics are very good and especially having an evade move that helps conserve ammo and get away from zombies. The world was so open yet so closed in the best way possible and I caught myself in places where i had already been like i was actually living in raccoon city which i thought was a nice touch to world building. Also, the ties to resident evil 2 with marvin getting bitten and kendo’s gun shop and his daughter’s situation really showed how everything is connected.
Now the bad,
Nemesis is genuinely insufferable. I understand that he is supposed to hunt down S.T.A.R.S members, but he is such a pushover all the damn time. He always figures out a way to lose to Jill and come back as a radioactive acid baby on roids and that shit doesn’t make any sense. And to make it even worse, other than the time Jill got infected with the T-Virus she shows no other life threatening visible injuries. She’s been in a train that derailed and was on fire, she’s been THUNDERCUNTED by Nemesis MULTIPLE TIMES but doesn’t even suffer from broken bones. Unless she’s made of steel, she should have ATLEAST one injury that’s causing her problems
Speaking of Jill getting infected, playing as Carlos in the hospital was genuinely one of the worst parts of the game. I hated almost every single moment of it because it was so damn tedious.
Other than that I enjoyed the game and think that it was an amazing warmup for re2 and daddy leon
Final Rating: 6/10

It's an alright game, but a mid Resident Evil and an even worse Re3 Remake. After the masterpiece that was Re2 remake this is just a crazy thing to put out. This could've been a dlc for 2r it was so damn short, not to mention a third of that short runtime is cutscenes of things that 2 remake would've just shown in the gameplay letting you react and view it how you want to. Such a sad sad remake of my favorite OG Resident Evil title. Overall its not a bad game, but expecting Resident Evil 3 modernized or even just a good modern Resident Evil experience in general, its just lacking.

The game itself is good, but it's just not as good either RE2 remake or the original game. RE3 suffers from too much linear segments and quicktime events. Nemesis here is more of a nuisance than a true menace, and Jill Valentine feels like an action hero more than the survivalist we saw in RE1.
This game is also is very short and lacks replayability because they cut a lot of content from the original game. The intro is atrocious in my opinion, too long and no context on why Nemesis is there, or who is Jill as a character. In the OG game everything is perfectly presented, no need for artificial chaos, and in the campaign you had to make some choices that affected the story, with multiple endings. None of that is here. It feels more like a on-rails 3rd person shooter than a survival horror. Hugely disappointed on this one compared to RE2 Remake. I got all the achievements in 10 tedious hours of play, with the "All things unlocked" DLC, compare that to 30 hours on RE2, at least for me.
Seriously, there are a lot of things missing from the original game that I would prefer for Capcom to make it available via Steam than playing this one, its a whole different experience. Now, the good things is that it improved a bit on RE2 remake by giving us a dodge button, which is very welcome, but it also took some things out like the ability to leave an item be when you found it. Here, it goes straight into your inventory without even asking. This also means you can't directly combine the item you just found with the stuff you got, you MUST have additional space. Why did they change this if it makes inventory management more annoying? Overall, i give the game a 7/10, clear downgrade from what Capcom did with RE2. At least the story is decent and carries over a lot of stuff from RE2.

Very good game. 7.5/10. One thing I didn't like was that I experienced major frame drops maybe 10-15 times throughout the game. It would be great if this was fixed.

I don't see myself replaying this game just like RE 2 Remake.
It is a super linear game with no intentions at all for backtracking, there is nothing worth of connecting if the game itself is not even that interesting at all.
No wonder why is no longer called "Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Remake"
Nemesis is not that creature that you fear, is just a joke that you cringe.
4/10
Might be just as beautiful as a Remake can be, there was zero improvement or any idea of improvement at all from the original game.

I just played the " Resident Evil 3 remake ", and yeah — it's pretty cool! You play as Jill, trying to escape Raccoon City while this giant monster, Nemesis, keeps crashing the party. It’s more action-packed than " RE2 ", with smoother combat and a fun dodge mechanic that makes you feel like a pro when you time it right.
The game looks amazing — dark, creepy, and super detailed. Nemesis is terrifying and always shows up at the worst possible moments (in the best way).
The only downside? It’s short — around 5–6 hours (or even 2 if you're a tryhard).
Still, it’s a solid action-horror game. I'm a huge " Resident Evil " fan, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. ♥

The game is really short it looks good and all but there is a lot less puzzle solving in this one compared to the others in the series. Its paced more like an action game compared to a survival horror one.

it's decent on its own but it feels kinda rushed and does not stay faithful to the original to the point where a lot of things from the original were stripped from this game. Not too bad overall though

The only bad thing about the game was the fact that I finished it in 6-7 hours time frame. Bought the game on sale for $9.99 but I'd recommend anyone to wait for a future sale and see if it goes down further, then purchase it.

I recently finished Resident Evil 3 Remake (2023) on my PC through online streaming, and overall, I would still happily recommend it, especially to fans of the Resident Evil series or gamers who love action-packed survival horror experiences. Visually, the game looks absolutely stunning—the graphics are crisp, detailed, and full of atmosphere, which made exploring Raccoon City feel thrilling and immersive. The developers did a great job in bringing the classic game into modern times, with smooth controls and impressive sound design that keeps you on edge in the best possible way.
Playing as Jill Valentine and teaming up with Carlos was truly exciting. The character models and animations were excellent, and the intense moments against Nemesis kept my adrenaline pumping. The action sequences were solid, and the combat felt satisfying, making it fun to keep going even during tough battles. It’s clear that a lot of care and technical polish went into the remake.
However, while I really enjoyed my time with the game, I felt a bit nabitin (bitin) or “bit short-changed” because the storyline was quite short. I was hoping for more depth and longer gameplay, especially in exploring Raccoon City’s downtown areas. There were places and moments that I wished the game spent more time on, perhaps showing more about the city’s downfall or expanding the story arcs of Jill and Carlos. It felt like the potential for storytelling was so big, but the game ended sooner than I expected.
Still, despite the short length, I’d say Resident Evil 3 Remake is a solid and fun experience for both newcomers and loyal fans. It delivers high-quality visuals, intense gameplay, and the nostalgia of a classic game reimagined. Just be ready for a shorter ride compared to some other titles in the franchise.
I’d definitely recommend it—but if you’re hoping for a longer, story-rich journey, you might wish it lasted a bit more. Overall, it’s a great game worth trying if you’re into horror and action!

Short but I greatly enjoyed my playthrough especially after playing 2 and seeing some of the areas before what happens in RE2.

It's good but it felt short. When compared to RE2, both games take nearly the same amount of time to complete when speedrunning, but this one felt faster. Gameplay and puzzle wise, it's the same idea as RE2 but the UI here was worse.

I wish there was a ''Mixed Feelings'' option to review this game. It's definitely not the best but it isn't the worst thing ever either. It's definitively the weakest Remake from the Resident Evil Trilogy but it isn't bad enough to make me not want to play it.
The idea of witnessing Raccoon City become hell sounds awesome... until you play it and realize the ''gigantic city'' is basically two streets, a couple of shops, and a train station.
The puzzles are a lot disappointing too, most of them boil down to ''cut the chain'' or ''use the loot pick'', it feels way more like an action game than survival horror, it's not necessarily a bad thing but it wasn't what I was expecting after the first two Remakes. This game deserved more love and the same care that was put into REmake and RE2R.

Raccoon City's beautiful, but it's easy to get lost. Hospital section was tiresome, still a great game!

Completed the game 100% in only 26 hours.
It took me some painfully hard runs to get S-RANK on INFERNO.
Literally painful.
Other than that, the game is great and scary. It has some really creepy lore, like the nurse’s journal in the hospital, which gave me trauma when I read it.
I might try to 100% RE2 Remake or Resident Evil Village next.
Wish me luck.

RE3 is really fun if you like action and horror. I've never played the original, but I can understand being upset if this remade version cut a lot of content from the original. I found the runtime to be fine, though I would've liked a smidge more game. Maybe the developers shortened it to encourage replayability, because there are some fun replay options. I don't think I'll replay it, but I enjoyed my time with it and I bought it for only $5.

I didn't play the original RE3, so I can't speak on the removed content or whatever. But this is my favorite Resident Evil game so far. Jill and Carlos are such a good duo, and Nemesis is actually such an annoying enemy. I'm not someone who does well with horror, but I would describe this more as a rage-inducing game than a scary one. I never actually felt afraid while playing this except for the occasional jump-scare.

Great Game. Can't go wrong with the remakes. Highly recommend 7 and Village though. 7 for pure horror. Village for something more interesting. 2 Is probably the best classic RE game followed by RE3.

Even though there is alot of content they cut out of the original game and people are understandably disappointed with how much they reused from REmake 2. I still enjoy playing REmake 3. I really enjoy what they did with Nemesis and how on the title screen he is just standing there with that erie music. Looks metal af
I would buy this on sale though as the game length doesn't warrant the full price tag.

Not a very long game and not nearly as good as the re 2 remake, but is still worth the play through.
