This is hands down my favorite game ever. Don’t let the “1 hour played” fool you, because I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into Watch Dogs 2 on Xbox and Ubisoft Connect, just never on Steam. This game is straight-up criminally underrated. It nails everything: fun game-play, unique characters, insanely creative missions, and a world that actually feels alive. Being able to buy this game for anything under $20 is an absolute steal. Thank you Ubisoft for making a game that still holds up and looks beautiful years later, even if your recent projects have been rather poor. Watch Dogs 2 is an absolute gem.

I had a blast playing this game. The map is very well done, detailed and beautiful. Gameplay is nice. Most missions involve accessing restricted areas and electronic systems, while avoiding guards or somehow neutralizing them. You can remotely control a small wheeled intrusion device and a small reconnaissance quadcopter and various vulnerable things in the environment.

Amazing game to play today especially with the Watch Dogs 2 Extended Mod by Nexus which opens up the game like never before.

Very good similar to gta 5 but in whole different world of hacking, I really liked it for how you do stuff around the map. Hacking sevage holes and making them explode to kill police, hacking people phones stealing money and exc overall really good game and would recommend to the others

I already played the game once, but now I can't even play it because apparently my PC is too good… it just flickers all the time.

Once again, Ubisoft tries to ruin this great game by messing with the multiplayer, this time around, the game won't ever let you play with friends, we ended up having to use third party software, in this case Hamachi. Only for that I should give this game a thumbs down, but I like it too much. This is a perfect sequel, while not being dark and gritty like the previous game, and the story being a lot less serious not only in tone but ambience, it still gives an amazing look at the watch_dogs universe from another point of view, everything feels much more intuitive, specially the controls, driving is still a bit rough but it doesn't detract from the experience, the city is vibrant and alive, so many colors, it is a complete 180 compared to the rainy and dark Chicago, this game feels truly "Fun". The story was interesting and has it's nice plot twists as usual, with great and memorable characters, specially Wrench; the side missions are pretty good too, so you're never gonna run out of fun things to do. Loved the addition of the RC vehicles. The music selection is amazing, I have this game to thank for introducing me to Crystal Castles, now one of my favorite bands of all time, and even the game's own soundtrack is very fitting, great electronic beats, the menu song *chef's kiss*. In conclusion, a definitive must buy.

fun gameplay but i use fast travel to get around the map a lot, also i do have a weird flickering issue but it doesn't bother me much, just a bit distracting, overall it was worth the money including the dlc's

one of the better games within the trilogy(?) the multiplayer has some to be desired but it is a whole lot of fun. they should've kept it at this and left it alone instead of making that abomination of a third game

while i didn't play too much of this game (yet!), the 6.7 hours i have on my current review time is GREAT, i haven't gotten too far on the story, but what i have did is explored the FUCK out of San Francisco, and all i can say is that i'm in love. from the perspective of someone that doesn't live in america, this is the perfect tourism game (if that makes any sense), the ScoutX app gives me actual purpose to walk around and snap silly pictures on tourist attractions, and on places where there's no ScoutX photo available, it is always very, and i mean VERY beautiful. everywhere i go on this map is a joy to look at, music while walking is also an amazing addition to my little "tourist-playthrough" of this game. even if you don't like the story, im pretty sure you will like the San Francisco that ubisoft have created for you to explore. to further improve the experience they have also designed a UI that i personally think they have not yet topped with any other game, the phone/terminal UI they got going on is simply amazing, the little animations the UI do everytime you hover over something on the phone or the pause menu is believable, its just perfection. i'd definitely recommend this game on full price, i hesitated before when buying this game, i was wrong.

Insanely terrible flickering that occured the moment I loaded in. Refuse to pay for what is essentially "AAAA" abandonware on 2025. If you have a 40/50 series card, you are guaranteed to have this issue, and 30 series can still encounter it though it seems to be as easy as turning on V sync or temporal filtering half the time lol. For 40 series, you NEED to download fixes and 50 series, I don't think they even work. I may have the patience to mod and fix games most the time, but usually it's part of the fun. This? I can't even play without the god awful flickering happening in the first 3 seconds of gameplay.

Yet another reason why ubisoft is absolute dogshit, sure the game runs on console but this game dosen't even launch on pc, i've uninstalled and reinstalled the game about 15 times, revalidated the files and still it wont even launch, any gpu higher than a 20 series cant even run it properly, and ubisoft still refuses to fix their game even after 5+ years of being released on pc

I personally, can't recommend a game that requires you to go through hoop after hoop to troubleshoot just to launch the game past the splash screen, as I spent at least 30 minutes trying to get this to launch to no avail, so until whatever bug is causing the game to be unable to get past the splash screen, I can't recommend this to anyone in good faith.

i don't know where to begin the parkour top tier the way marcus can just move so smoothly unlike the first game there is not a whole lot of gaps that say oh no you just cant do that i love the multiplayer its not as invasive as the last game you can choose whether or not you want to hack or be hacked by some one all in all this is a really thought out game and i wished they could have done better with legion

I liked it. Played on hard difficulty. Don't really know what to write. I enjoy the hacking mini-games. Not a fan of the gun game play. Never felt worth it to go in guns a blazing. Some of the cars were fun to drive around, especially in a cool performance car with a nice paint job. The story was decent to give incentive to keep playing. Oh, I also played beat this originally on PS4. So, this is my second go-around. Just as fun as I remembered it.

Game is alright with some bugs but the story is not good personally loved the first game, this is like the teen angst, cringe version of it with a checklist if you know what I mean. I am refunding.

One of the best open world games so far. - The game respects your time to explore, always with rewards. - Story with serious and more relaxed moments. - Lots of cars, clothes and weapons to collect. - Various activities such as photography, kart racing, motorcycles, drones and more. - San Francisco is beautiful, from realistic NPCs to weather conditions and the city has life. - There is also online to have fun. - The gameplay is fun and addictive. - Seeing people's lives through the phone is very funny. - Brutal soundtrack. In short, a phenomenal Open World game and for me the best in the Watch Dogs series.

This game is literally unplayable on newer NVIDIA cards. The screen flickers so bad that some might get seizures. This game is abandonware so this will never be fixed. Don't buy it unless you're rocking 20 series or older.

Who is this for? The driving is trash, the hacking is trash, the map is boring, the cars are slow, the graphics are piss poor. Ubisoft, what is this game? Unskippable cutscenes and cringe . A completely unlikeable cast especially the 'protagonist'. The whole game's plot is 'CTOS 2.0 predicted the psychopath protagonist was in fact a psychopath. The game plays poorly, and the story makes me a bad guy. Who asked for this?

The game is okay, story is good. The driving in this game it feels off unlike the previous game of theirs.

While it is a Tech-themed game, it feels more like a GTA-5 with some wizard tricks. Nothing is polished. The main cast are degenerates and I would not trust him with the data like I would Aiden Pierce. They are rude, obnoxious, and petty. It is a downgrade in casting. Purely a writing choice. There is a significant political bias that makes it distasteful. Either side. SPOILER: ||They kill the only other black guy in part of the story and they morn once. No further mentions of him. Could have made him a sexy lamp with one useful barcode. They wanted to tell an HR Nightmare story with him, then he dies. HR Nightmare over what problem, you ask? They never say. Just "Illegal Keystrokes".|| Gameplay is a little buggy. Often, I could not get into cars, parked normally, pressing 'E'. Shooting head-shots is a coin toss. Guns are weaker. Non-lethal options have been super-buffed. Takedowns feel a lot more violent. No grenade launcher. Fewer variety of guns. Stealth is a matter of luck when the timers for sensors are not easily soon or completely un-targetable. Enemies are either glass cannons or bullet sponges. You can shoot from cars now. Good luck trying to hit ANYTHING. Hack sections feel either too easy or nearly impossible. Grenades suck. I have to hack-target them and then set them off manually. Makes using a grenade quickly a living hell since you have your hack-targeter jumping around. Lots of knitpicks. Lots of QOL that did not get done. Feels ham-fisted and sloppy compared to the first one. The Drone/RC car stuff is cool the FIRST FEW TIMES. Now, you have to examine EVERY BASEBOARD to find the quirky little one-way in... So yeah. It's a sequel.

good game but why cant u drive helicopters

Buy this if you only want to play the first mission and forget about any multiplayer content. Quite an interesting game. I completed the tutorial, and everything worked very well. Then I moved on to missions. Every mission that requires online matchmaking puts such a heavy load on the system that it completely freezes, and there's no recovery other than a hard reboot using the power button. Steam support, of course, refused to issue a refund — time had passed, so it didn’t matter that the game is now literally unplayable. If Ubisoft ever fixes this issue — which seems highly unlikely — I’ll happily change this to a positive review.

Amazing game and multiplayer still active after so many years after release

Its worth trying out... If you haven't already try the first Watch dogs as well.... As one of the characters in Watch dogs make a appearance in Watch dogs 2 and it will make more sense that way :). Its also will give you experience for what watch dogs 2 has to offer... There is alot to do in both but more so in WD2

The graphics of this game is pretty dope good, also I love the hacking mechanics offered by this game, thank my a%% I bought this game on sale, I saved a lot of money lol. I rate this game straight up 11/10, no BS.better than most of the games

This is a absolutly amazing piece of a game, the open world combined with the hacking features and weapons etc. as well as the option for stealth or not plays out great, and the amount of tomfoolery that is possible with all the gadgets is only limited by how much police force your device can handle. I got myself WD1 and Legion too to play once I am done with WD2.

lots of bugs, never impeding progression but requiring very finicky thinking outside of the box, orrrr just restarting checkpoint. a whole lot of fun and always Quality ludo-narrative dissonance honestly, i bought this game so i could play something other than a jrpg or a shooter for a bit, came away from it pretty pleased.

In terms of gameplay, this is the best game I have played so far. There are some issues with the gameplay, but otherwise, it is a perfect game. The vibe, the plot, and the way it is all styled in San Francisco evoke only positive emotions in me. I will never regret buying this game. Thank you, Ubisoft!

This game is abandonware. You cannot play it on an RTX 4000 series card without constant flickering from EVERY light source. There is no fix. Don't buy it unless your PC is ancient.

well i got scammed by buying this game for " 5$ " , this game is so outdated , " hard for modders to mod " alot of weird visuals , and gameplay , NPC when they die keep flying and etc

the best of the series by a mile. The 'off the Hook' trophy is a pain though, only because its RNG based to get the mission. Other than that amazing experience.

It might show 8 hours on steam, but i have well over 200+ on xbox. Watch Dogs 2 is one of the few games to rival the sheer fun of an open world sandbox that GTA offers without trying to be a copy. The story is a blast, i've played it TOO much. And screwing around in the gorgeous map with and without friends is simply unmatched (Outside of GTA again) It always seems to be a competition whether WD1 or WD2 is better. and honestly it comes down to preference. WD1 is gritter and darker, more akin to GTA IV, while this masterpiece is the stupid, bright and fun that GTA V brings.

game keeps flickering, any fix you try, doesn't work. game crashes

this game is overall a good game, it captures the san fansisco feel perfectly, makes improvments from the original for instance there are more options for stealth, the world has more interesting events going on. but there are most certaintly negatives about this game. i was not happy that gang hide out, fixer mission, criminal convoys and prevent crime mission were removed. i can see how fixer mission are not included since marcus is a dedsec member not a fixer like aiden. there are other side activity to do like racing and multiplay mission/activitites which improve the multiplayer. my rating 7.8/10 would play again.

Watch Dogs 2 paints a truly beautiful rendition of San Francisco. The hacking in this game is absolutely fun, the parkour animations clean, and the stealth system being one I personally enjoyed a lot. Watch Dogs 2 is one of the more underrated open world games one can play, but a truly lovable one through and through in my opinion.

i bought this game on steam , installed it and i was very excited to play this game bu i couldn't they keep asking me an activation key . there was no activation key higly dissapointed dont buy this game its kinda a scammmmmmmmm. without the activation key the game wont start .

Enjoyable stealth gameplay, smooth parkour mechanics, and an interesting cooperative mode make exploring San Francisco with friends even more enjoyable. There's always something exciting to do, whether it's skulking through enemy bases or ingeniously hacking your way around. The balance of action and strategy is excellent.
