Ubisoft connect is abysmal as always, I played this many moons ago on PlayStation and had to make a new account on PC and they won't let me launch the game anymore cause it needs a activation key I never received. I cannot launch the game now, because It thinks my old account owns it. despite previously playing it.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME FOR PC! EVEN GETTING IT TO START IS A NIGHTMARE! For context I opened the game once, closed it. And then was not allowed to start it. Spent a entire night troubleshooting and had to screw with the registry editor to get it to open. In conclusion, just buy it on console, its a great game.

7/10. The main game is great, if you like far cry. Lots of stealth, climbing and drugs. Alot of drugs. SO MANY DRUGS. Everytime you see a cutscene in this game there is like a 50% chance you will get drugged. The Shrangri-La bits are shit, mainly cause you can only kill the tank enemy using a tiger npc that runs off and dies alot. The characters are nothing short of mental, including the guy you are playing. (Ajay) (Who constantly tries to get high) But the story left me feeling a bit dissapointed. During the game they give you the illusion of choice in alot of situations. Then at the end of the game you get to actually make an impactful decision. The game forces you to choose between the two future leaders of Kyrat. I picked Amita, since i was against the whole religious dictatorship Sabal was aiming for. Turns out, neither of them are a good leader after the story concludes. You get cutscenes showing you the way they operate (dictatorship-like), and the game allows you to kill their npc in freeroam after. But thats it. Theres no Epilogue, no more missions, no achievement, nothing. For some reason they tease you with the bad leadership of Amita or Sabal but theres nothing more to it. It left a bad taste, and empty feeling. That being said, the core gameplay is good, and if you like Far Cry, theres a good chance you will like this game. (oh and i modded out the locked open world parts of the game because not have an open world game be open world is stupid)

Far Cry 4 lets you live the dream: being a Nepalese-inspired Maoist insurgent with style. Forget dialectical materialism, our material of choice is grenades, flamethrowers, and the occasional angry honey badger. I liked that even in a hypothetical maoist insurrection, half your playtime is watching your leaders argue about ideological purity and ends with a purge. Excellent detail. No notes.

This game is well made. The story is actually one of the best story games I've ever played, it is so much fun and the story is insanely good. I think, gameplay wise, it's better than Far Cry 3 in almost every aspect of the game. Overall Rating: 8.9/10

Bought this game as well as 3 and 5. 3 and this one don't work at all they launch in random resolutions and when you change it to the correct one, it changes back as soon as you use your controller. For a game that was on the 360 how is this unplayable in 2025 on a modern PC. ridiculous waste of time and money screw ubisoft and their stupid launcher and un-optimized games!

You sell game data for ads on third party services. Cannot play offline. The offline mode option does not work even if I fully sign in under it. The checkbox to start ubisoft connect in offline mode does not remember the last setting and defaults to connect with every boot. Disabling cloud saves does not disable cloud saves. Ubisoft, amazon, and google servers are constantly connecting to and monitoring my game. No option to control the storage of cloud saves, which are saved on third party servers.

Its basically an overall upgrade to Far Cry 3. better visuals, diverse environment instead of bland green fields of FC3, antagonist was less interesting than vaas but world building was great.

Don't buy Ubisoft games. My Ubisoft account was stolen somehow, and even though I provided screenshots, invoices, and emails from Ubisoft as proof, they still won't help me get my stolen account back. If your account is stolen somehow, you can never get it back. ubisoft oyunu almayın. Nasıl olduysa sadece ubisoft hesabım çalındı ve ubisoft hesaba ait ekran görüntüsü,fatura ve ubisofta ait mailleri kanıt olarak sunmama rağmen çalınan hesabımı geri almama yardımcı olmuyor.hesabınız bir şekilde çalınırsa birdaha geri alamazsınız.

Far Cry 3 was phenomenal due to Vaas. I don't think if Far Cry 4 will compare to it's legacy but still. Far Cry 4 is pure adrenaline! I had a blast exploring Kyrat’s jaw-dropping mountains and jungles, taking down map browsers top rated outposts, and riding elephants into battle. Pagan Min is an unforgettable villain, and the wingsuit made every jump epic. This game is a no-brainer buy for anyone craving an action-packed adventure. Get it and dive in!

Did I enjoy the game? Yes. Would I recommend it? No. The requirement for a secondary launcher makes it difficult (not impossible) to play on Steam Deck, its also a waste of resources and the Uplay requirement is an always online one, which means you couldnt play it on a plane for eg. This game is old. This nonsense serves no purpose on an old game, other than putting people like me off from buying it. It is now a consideration I make from every platform as to if it needs a always online or a secondary launcher. Its the reason I don'ty own Far Cry 6. The graphics are good, gameplay is good, gunplay is ok (annoying RNG for bullets on autos), story is thin but always has been in Far Cry games, interesting decisions which effect the story, repetative mini quests (though I suppose thats the same many RPGs). Its not a bad game, but I wont be buying anymore that need an always online or a 3rd party launcer. I understand that this won't have much influence with the games age, but I wont be reviewing the newest titles, as I wont buy from Ubi in their current guise.

Probably the most dissappointed I've ever been with any game. Far Cry 3, 5 and EVEN 6 was fun, but a little bit over half way in on this one, I'm abandoning it. I've heard so much good about this game, but for me, I had no fun at all and felt no connection to the story either. Everything feels clunky, which I didn't think about Far Cry 3. The map is straight ass. Inconsistent difficulty. I had a lot of unused skill points because every perk sounded like shit. Also, I'm using a 2080 Super, but was forced to drop down my graphics to "high" (third best option) for it to run at around 70 fps, and still it drops below 60 regularly...

Ubisoft really needs to stop forcing their launcher and overlay into everything. I hate that you can’t even play Far Cry 4 without going through their stuff, and even when you leave the overlay on like they want, it doesn’t tell you what it’s actually doing. I kept unlocking things with zero explanation of what they were or if I even got anything. The worst part was launching the game: there are about five loud intro videos you can’t skip, and they’re way more obnoxious than anything in the game itself. On top of that, I couldn’t play in borderless windowed mode. Every time I tried, the game would open zoomed in way past my screen size, even set to 1080p on a 4K monitor. I could only see a corner of the screen and didn’t feel like wasting time troubleshooting something no other game does. And now for my attempt at a spoiler-free review: Far Cry 4 is still a good time. I liked being able to choose who was in control during the story, even if I’m not sure it really changes much. There’s a unique alternate ending early on, which was a cool touch. The main villain was alright, but I didn’t really care much about him. It felt like most of the time he was just talking at you, which got old after a while. I also wish one of the major characters had a choice moment like the others, but instead it just ends with no input from you. There’s a good amount to do outside the main missions. The variance in side missions helps keep things from getting too repetitive, and the karma system adds extra stuff to do while you're moving from place to place, especially if you're on foot. I liked that enemy soldiers still roam the world even after you capture outposts, and the radio changes based on which towers you've freed, which was a nice touch. The fortress and retaliation system is cool too, but if you clear everything too early like I did, you end up missing most of the retaliation events. The gyrocopter was a fun addition, but trying to do takeouts or get the achievement for it on PC was weird. Even worse, changing the copter controls also messes with your on-foot and driving controls, which shouldn’t happen. Elephant riding was cool, but I only used it for the achievement. The auto-drive feature came in handy when I didn’t feel like driving myself. As for the online achievements, they’re pretty much impossible now because nobody plays those modes anymore, and there’s no way to play them with bots. I’m not going to sit around every day waiting for a bunch of people to show up online just to unlock a few achievements. The characters were good and had some unique storylines, especially the side characters, but they just weren’t really for me. One of them quoted religious stuff while talking about weapons, which was creative, but I didn’t care for him. Another pair of characters had a completely different vibe that worked, but also wasn’t my thing. Most of them were solid overall, just not the kind of people I felt like sticking with beyond what I needed for skills or trophies.

This game is optimised so poorly for PC it's laughable. after the first 10 hours or so this game just fell apart. If you have the Xbox version play that or grab this when it drops to 90% off. Apart from that, the poor AI, abundance of bugs, softlocking and glitches along with the absolutely abysmal recticle judder when you get shot make the game unfortunately not worth your time. I put Over 40 hours in this trying to play it through twice and i'd rather have those 40 hours back as this game for me just wastes your time, doesn't care about you and is unplayable past the half way point.

A Journey Through Kyrat: A Beautiful Yet Brutal Adventure Rating: ★★★★☆ *Far Cry 4* transports players to the stunning yet treacherous landscapes of Kyrat, a fictional Himalayan region torn apart by civil unrest. From the outset, the game presents a visually captivating world, filled with vibrant colors, breathtaking vistas, and diverse ecosystems that invite exploration. The mountainous terrain, dense forests, and intricate villages create a rich backdrop for the game’s narrative and gameplay. The story follows Ajay Ghale, who returns to Kyrat to fulfill his mother’s last wish but is quickly swept into the conflict between the tyrannical ruler Pagan Min and the rebellious Golden Path. The characters are memorable, with Pagan Min himself being a standout antagonist, blending charisma with a chilling demeanor. His unpredictable nature adds an engaging dynamic to the storyline, making players invested in the fate of Kyrat. Gameplay in *Far Cry 4* remains true to the franchise’s roots, blending exploration, combat, and stealth. Players can tackle missions in various ways, whether through direct confrontation, stealthy approaches, or strategic use of the environment. The game introduces new mechanics, including the ability to use a wingsuit for exhilarating aerial traversal and the characteristic gyrocopter, adding a fresh layer of excitement to exploration. One of the highlights is the robust open world, packed with side quests, collectibles, and random encounters that provide depth and variety beyond the main storyline. Players can engage in activities like hunting, crafting, and liberating outposts, ensuring that time spent in Kyrat is never dull. The inclusion of co-op gameplay also adds a fun social element, allowing friends to join in the chaos. While the visuals are stunning and the gameplay is engaging, some critics have pointed out that *Far Cry 4* doesn’t stray too far from the established formula of its predecessor, *Far Cry 3*. This could lead to a sense of familiarity for returning players. Additionally, some missions may feel repetitive, and the AI can be inconsistent at times. Overall, *Far Cry 4* is a captivating experience that masterfully balances a rich narrative with open-world exploration and dynamic gameplay. It’s an adventure that challenges players while providing a beautiful and chaotic playground to immerse themselves in, making it a worthy addition to the *Far Cry* franchise.

Far Cry 4 is mechanically a big improvement over Far Cry 3 — I was honestly surprised by how much smoother and more refined everything feels. The auto-drive feature is a great addition, and the UI/menus show a clear improvement in usability and polish. Also, the game’s art direction is stunning. Massive kudos to the artists! However, the setting and overall vibe still feel a bit too similar to Far Cry 3. I wish the theme and environment were more distinct — sometimes it felt like I was still in the same game. The missions can be very difficult, and in some cases, it's not clear what you're supposed to do. The constant attacks from wild animals make things even more intense, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Also, not being able to pause cutscenes is a major downside. The Buzzer (mini helicopter) is fun, but the altitude limit is frustrating, especially when trying to complete certain objectives. Unfortunately, the final mission was underwhelming — I was expecting something much more epic to close the story. While there’s a decent variety of content, the side quests eventually become very repetitive by the end of the game. Overall, it’s a great game, especially if you liked Far Cry 3 — just don’t expect a drastically different experience.

Takes everything great about Far Cry 3 and builds on it with a stunning Himalayan setting. Pagan Min is a fun villain, and there’s a lot to explore, from mountains to temples. Co-op is a great addition, and there are plenty of weapons and activities to keep things interesting. One of the strongest entries in the series.

While being flawed in many ways (such as an awkward story and a downgraded protagonist from Far Cry 3) Far Cry 4 still achieves it's goal of being a fun game. Every aspect of the game is enjoyable and Kyrat is such a fun area to explore (except for a few areas). My only complaint is some of the characters. While Pagan is a top 3 antagonist, the other characters fall flat. Ajay doesn't have much of a personality and says a whole lot less than Jason does but at least he says more than the Deputy. Both Amita and Sabal are worse for Kyrat than Pagan Min and are incredibly annoying. Overall Far Cry 4 is a great game but the story is a little lacking. 7/10 game

Far Cry 4 takes open-world gaming to new heights with its breathtaking setting in the fictional Himalayan region of Kyrat. The lush forests, towering mountains, and dynamic environments make every moment feel fresh and exciting. The verticality of the map adds a new layer of challenge, while exploring the world on foot, wingsuit, or vehicle keeps things thrilling. The story, led by the unpredictable and charismatic villain Pagan Min, is engaging, with plenty of side missions, activities, and opportunities for exploration. Combat is smooth and satisfying, with a wide variety of weapons and gadgets at your disposal. Whether liberating outposts or hunting wildlife, there’s always something to do. Far Cry 4 offers a truly immersive experience, combining stunning visuals, exciting gameplay, and a rich world that will keep you hooked from start to finish. Pros: 1. Beautiful, detailed open world 2. Engaging story and characters 3. Exciting combat and exploration Cons: Low FPS on high end pc's A must-play for fans of open-world action and adventure.

Finally finishes the game after benching it for months. I don’t know if I just got burned out after AC Origins (which I loved), or if I just have a short attention span, but this game felt so draining Its a really good game but sometimes the repetitive cycle just gets old. I am rarely the type of person to leave any small side quest or explorations be undone, but not for this game. Its probably because the npc sidequests are all the same thing everytime that I just straight up ignored them. If you're asking storywise for how all of the main objectives goes, yeah its pretty nice. I got my own favorites here and there so thats that... as you can see above I got to play 50 hours something for just playing the objectives + opening all maps . I'll go easy on the critics since it was released on 2014, but the protagonists are so bland and boring. but I love the antagonist. There's literally nothing I LIKE and dislike about our main character lmao thats js how bland he is. Every single character in this game have a soul BUT us apparently. and dont get me started on the interact animations in this game, I had to turn this off on my 10 minutes of playing mind you. It gets old THAT fast because I cant spend watching another 5 seconds of animation just for opening chests or skinning every single animals I killed. BUT I do have to give them props for having this animation as optional, for whoever psychopaths that wanted them to still on jkjk Yes I do marked this as recommended because its really not a bad game. If you're asking me, just get this game when its on sale, I dont think its worth that much of your money. if you're NOTHING like me, then you will probably enjoy this game more than I do, and I literally finished it so yeah

Just like other Far Cry games, the action here really delivers. Gunfights, explosions, and all the over-the-top moments definitely make it a fun ride — especially if you're into FPS games. The story isn’t that deep or complicated, but hey, it’s Far Cry. You kinda know what to expect: lots of chaos, some mystical elements, and a decent amount of freedom to play your way. Not a bad game at all. Totally worth picking up — especially during a discount.

Awesome game! If you have any issues running the game or with freezing etc. follow these instructions and it should solve most issues: 1) Run the game 2) Ctrl + Alt + Del -> Task Manager -> Details 3) Find FarCry4.exe in the list 4) Right click -> Set Affinity 5) Unselect all processor cores except your last 4. For example if you have cores 0-11, unselect all except 8, 9, 10, and 11 6) Apply changes and then go back to your already open game Your game should now run smoothly! P.S. You will have to do this every time you play, luckily it's very quick and easy to do

If you're a stealth player, this isnt the game. BUT if you like loot-and-shoots, this is good. Very few places to gain a high-ground advantages, the enemies see you to quickly from too far way. The mobs stand too close and rarely move, often looking at each other. The enemies are bullet sponges and the weapons are weak. Far Cry 3 is superior to 4 (and Blood Dragon was the best). This game also gets laggy during fire fights. Played 6 hours and uninstalling to try Far Cry 5. Hopefully it's more strategy and stealth than 4.

Bought it because my boyfriend needed a multiplayer achievement, ended up playing on my own as well. Even though I'm not big into these types of games, I quite enjoyed it, but it did get too difficult for me further into the game. Would still recommend, I had a lot of fun !!!
