Got baited by PoE-like passive tree only to find out that it's full of 1% of nodes and boring 'increase xyz by 5-10%' notables, that do not alter your builds in any way. And speaking of builds, despite claims of being an ARPG, I would put this game closer to being a survivor with its linear scaling of everything - the bigger the number the better, without any nuances or mechanical interactions. Stances' skills might as well not exist, as better part of the ladder doesn't even run them and only relying on trinkets. Gameplay further solidifies this being a survivor as all you do is kite and don't even need to do any other inputs besides picking up loot. I don't mind survivors, but this game wants to be treated as an ARPG and it's not a very good one, so hence the review.

Loved the game at first, but it quickly lost its charm. The lack of depth and awkward scaling turns the fun loop into a grind where survival/progress depends on chasing bigger numbers.

This game is fun if you love to grind and enjoy the grind. If you do not enjoy the grind then it is definitely a skip there are a few things I would like to say now that I have played through 4+ weeks of this current season. This game has a low skill ceiling but a high skill floor meaning there are all kinds of things that the game does not tell you and while the discord is great there really needs to be a repository for a lot of systems so people are not asking the same questions over and over in a discord. I have said this to many devs that discord is not a replacement for a wiki or a shoot even a subreddit since discord is really not searchable. For instance there are too many things that you would think, by their description are multiplicative, but they are all additive and it can affect how you cook your own build. As others have said too this game really does need an optimization pass or 3 since it is definitely not well optimized in any way, shape, or form. Now I am going to say this again I enjoyed this game and I will most likely return for another season and it is easily worth the price for entry compared to many other games but these are my suggestions

Make it more clear what is additive vs multiplicative on the tree etc.
going through loot needs to be streamlined. Spending hours going through catacomb loot looking for items to slam is tedious
Why don't scrolls scale with rupture level, even a small increase would be great
Loot filter not saved between sessions, why?
give us a way to spawn the banshee, or give us a pity timer there are people on the board with 1 or 0 spawns and others with over 15
More information from leaderboards or the API (Missing things like double monograms) this would help new players immensely and lower the skill floor for this game. More information makes the game more approachable to new players
Overall a fun game but if you fix some of these issues, and as I understand it is has gotten way better since s1 but I wasn't here so this is from a new player, the game can definitely grow and be a bit more popular as a game to play in between other ARPG seasons. And optimization please please do this 1st. Get the game it is cheap and fun and definitely addictive but as with most games from small developers just has a few issues. I have over 150 hours in this season which is decent for ARPG type games where I enjoy the season so kudos to that and I chasing the leaderboard but I can see myself stopping soon.

I generally hate these kinds of games - they are all so similar and Vampire Survivor-esque with very slight variations, but Drawven Realms is different. I actually have to "play" and pay attention - gearing is a choice - crafting exists - seasons to keep you coming back when you get bored - fun end-game systems and dungeons - and it seems like they actually keep releasing seasons and keep things fresh. Out of all those auto walk / attack simulator games - this one feels like it's done right.

This game is so bloody addictive. Love it so far. It feels like a combination of Vampire survivors attacks, Path of Exile's build diversity and Last Epoch's crafting. The humour is great.

I decided to buy and download it it, check it out. I can get past the first area, or stage, which is about 15 minutes, and then the game crashes. It says something about a "fatal error". It seemed like a really fun idea, but either the problem is with the game, or my computer can't handle it. My computer isn't really high tech, but it can handle games like Grim Dawn, PoE, and Last Epoch just fine. In theory, it should be able to handle this too. I'd recommend the game, but due to the crashes and "fatal errors" that it has, I'm not going to. Hope whatever's wrong gets fixed.

It's basically Gauntlet Legends in 2025. If you like that playstyle, it's for you.

Game feels good for first 2 hours, then you start to encounter the bad designs by devs Raptures feel the same Crafting system is heavily RNG based and lots of hidden mechanics, that are never explained Damage formula feels off, example damage bonus is additive with critical damage??? and weapon specific critical damage is multiplicative, instead of critical damage being additive with each other, but multiplicative with damage bonus The more you play the more hidden mechanics you encounter and the more RNG there is

Its a really good game with lots of potential for theory crafting and nice builds!!! Also easy to play with no guides at all you will figure everything out eventually!! Nice game to throw some hours into each season after completing your main games season!! Highly recommended!!!!

Game was fun for a bit (if repetitive which I like), but with each season comes new bugs, new issues and the like. I enjoyed the offline content for the game immensely until an update broke character appearance for me. The dev response? "oh we have customization coming in the future". Well first and foremost, why did you break it in the first place? And apparently it isn't just a problem that only I experienced. When I build characters in ARPG style games, outside of armor and weapons, if I craft an appearance, it is because I want that appearance maintained. Once I was told to "wait until a future update to fix my offline character issue" I decided at that point the game is no longer valuable and the devs seem to not really care enough to improve this aspect of the game. I would recommend that people not buy it if they worry about risk of things breaking possibly for long term timeframes.

A wonderful diversion for probably two of the 8-week seasons. As time goes on, the magic wears thin - as with so many Action RPGs, as the variety of drops has increased, the odds of getting what you are looking for are vanishingly small. Well worth the price, but ultimately left a bitter taste.
