The art and story are beautiful and emotional. A love letter to life, art, and how the people we love inspire us.

This game is so good, I wasn't expecting a story behind this, but I'm not complaining at all! The game is really cute and I love the anime like cutscenes and it also made me feel cuteness, emotion and even tension in all the right moments! Highly recommended. Finished the story in an evening.

This would've been great as a short film, but since it's supposed to be a game I have to review it as such. The art, animations, and music are great, but if you're looking for any more substance than that I'd honestly look elsewhere. I was pretty excited to play this, but the reality is that it's lacking substance. The story is bland, the puzzles are hardly puzzles, the 'mini-games' (if that's what they are?) weren't fun, there's absolutely nothing intriguing about any of it other than why you played it, and unless you have an infinite amount of patience, trying to get all of the achievements is an absolute CHORE due to the slow pacing of the game and the lack of any save points. I genuinely wanted to like this game, and as an artist I still want to go easy on it, but even accounting for everything: 5/10 I cannot recommend.

Wholesome, adorable, and emotional. Little game that really puts you in its world, and let you be engrossed. The gameplay parts actually engaging with some simple painting mechanics is great too, giving it a little more feeling than just clicking around. Good for a nice cozy evening.

Minimal gameplay/Puzzles but the story was absolutely beautiful and worth the 30 min-1 hour it takes to play through.

This game does an amazing job at storytelling in a relatively quick puzzle game. The sheer amount of emotion packed in both the primary game and DLC make it a great buy.

Short and sweet game, my painting skills are still nothing compared to that old man though

hesitant recommend. which is purely for story and animation reasons as a game, it is rather frustrating. there's a bug that forces you to stare at a still image for like 40 seconds if you click on something that's been common since release and has never been fixed. subtitles and animations will overlap, brush strokes not register correctly etc. there's just too many bugs in too little time that made it difficult to get invested emotionally. the fact lines keep repeating, reaffirming you're playing a game, also doesn't help i do also think the game holds your hand a bit too much and could've easily removed half its dialogue and just let the art progression speak for itself. i'm not sure there was even any dialogue needed at all tbh? personally think it would've improved my experience but hey i love the concept. just lacks in execution

Played this with my wife. Both were loving it, then for a good 10 minutes thought it was about to turn into a horror game and she almost tapped out. Worth it! Very cute puzzles and wholesome story.
