This is just first 20 minutes of Nevrosa: Primal Ritual, that includes pretty good cinematics, uninspired 'puzzle' and boring combat. Pros: + Gunshot sounds and weapon feedback is quite satisfying + The lift scene looks really good. Who doesn't like building-size monsters in VR?) Overall world design is interesting and unique + The music is really good and it fits the atmosphere perfectly Cons: - Shooting spiders with the blood magic pistol was the weakest part of Nevrosa: Escape. And here it takes about 40% of the whole experience. Enemies are animated poorly and fighting them is extremely easy and boring - The only 'puzzle' included in this teaser is awful: it's simple step-by-step instruction following - Item handling is a bit off, opening a simple box or pulling a lever can take few tries - Grass and spiders look weird near the edges when there is a fog in the background(which is almost all the time)

This game is way too short. You literally walk up a hill and turn something on. That's it. The music is also choppy, it's on an infinite loop but the beginning doesn't fit with the end. I found the graphics of their previous 2 games to be better. For $2 I guess it's ok, but it's basically a demo. I also much prefer the static/teleport of the last 2 Nevrosa games over the open world/free movement they're going for now.

So new Nevrosa game and new gameplay - now we have a free locomotion to explore the world around. It's more a demo than a full game, definetly will check the final product.

Nice dark atmospheric puzzle action short demo. Waiting for full version. I don't get motion sick thanks to blink teleport option. Smooth loco option too there.

I found myself disappointed, although maybe my experience was limited to my controls. Having the same button move AND "reload" was rough. I got swarmed by dozens of spiders at once, and couldn't dodge and move and reload and shoot at the same time. I found myself dropping the gun four or five times. After the 50th spider made a nest of my head, it wasn't even scary any more. Just frustrating. Which is a shame, because this game has a sense of style to it. It would've been nice if the spiders had been sort of hinted at, rather than that weird scene at the start of the game and obvious spiders crawling all over. But the "repairing" the machine portion was enjoyable and well done. And I'd love to know more about how we came to be in this weird place. In the end, my portal's bulbs became fully lit...but try as I might I couldn't go through the portal. Was I doing something wrong? Am I bad at the game? Did I miss some sort of essential clue? Who knows...the frustration in dealing with the seemingly endless spider swarm that blocked my sight and had no gap in between had me more annoyed than scared. And the guns tiny little "pew" was very unsatisfying. I know that sounds like a weird complaint, but...it's just shooting tic tacs or something. :-P

This is shorter than most demos and less interesting, but they want to charge you for it and put an add at the end.

I recommend buying this to support the DEVs, because of the immersive environments, and for the thrill of fighting spiders. If you have a fear of spiders this will be a horror game, otherwise a short, enjoyable visit to another world where giant spiders rule. You can shoot the spiders before they jump, or grab them when they are biting your head. The graphics are great, the music is somewhat annoying, and there is no voice acting (which is the worst part of the game). My opinion is either have professional voice acting or none at all, so they made the right call to have none if they couldn't afford to do it right. However, a game is always much better with professional actors. The dialogue and narration is done in text on pieces of paper. They should be able to be picked up. I don't like having to bend over and try to read text a few feet away from my headset.

Took with DLCs to support the devs. Interesting health = ammo mechanics hope you make healing pills or something in the future.

Played on HTC Vive Pro/Vive wands 1.0/RTX2060Super, It looks great just like the first one. The idea with the blood reload it very good. It isn't a really long game, the 0,6 hrs was including trying to fix the problems I mention next, and you can continue after the conclusion of this episode by just walking around which I did for about 5 minutes. BUT the biggest problem is the awful controls, whichever locomotion you set it to, both types have it's game ruining problems. Locomotion set to teleport: It just starts teleporting irratically (never had that in any other game). point and hold the disc and release, and then sometimes you only have to point and it magically transports you there. Locomotion set to free: it's one of the most nausiating experiences, but also it just doesn't move properly, tried setting direction to 'hand' and 'head'. And I also have NO idea what 'Vignette' does/means.. Maybe it wasn't designed for the Vive Wands, but since those are like second to most used controllers it should at least work with those. So I'm very hesitant to spend much money on the next installment as this one had such awful controls. I bought it at the halloween sale for 1.03 euro's, and I think it's worth it, even though the controls are crap and really need improvement/fixing. At the moment of writing the game is 1,59 euro fullprice.. Still think that's a decent price.

The entering scene before you get to the spider forest is awesome! Felt strong “Uncharted” vibes during that sequence. The further experience is quite interesting and makes you want more. Looks like the devs wanted this game to become as popular as Prelude was for Escape. OK, let’s see where it goes.

Great soundtrack and graphics, interesting start. May be a Prelude for something bigger.
