My Vow to My Liege

I think the other person who said the game felt generic summed it up really well. I had to close it like an hour into the game because no matter how much I wanted to give it a chance, I just wasn't feeling any magic. Throwing around a lot of mystical terms, names and starting the player off with feudal politics without any feelings just didn't grow on me. I didn't understand what was happening because everything was so fast paced and the male main characters that I was able to interact with so far had no personality besides being loyal servants. Please, developers, your characters need to start off strong. Show their personalities, their beliefs, their quirks, anything that could build a sense of attachment in me. This ain't it.

Only played one route so far, but I was really impressed! The story is well-written and interesting, and the love interests that there were four characters (if we count ShaoJiang, who isn't romancable tragically) that I had to deliberate between for a first route. The voice acting is quality, and the art is lovely. I also enjoyed the way the MC's whole situation was written. (very vague spoilers for one ending w no names:) I liked that I made the guy at the end of my route come be my husband, instead of me moving off to be his wife and leaving my country behind. It was funny and compelling. Once night I stayed up until 2am to play. I would deeply plead with the creators to add a route for ShouJiang. She was so cool and so chill with the MC being a girl secretly. Her life is such a great mirror for the MC--they fit like gloves. After everything she had to go through, I feel like I could make her very happy.
