A touching story about an illegal immigrant girl called Yeonji living in South Korea. She meets a boy named Taehyeok and his friend Haran, and they both want to help Yeonji to go back to her home country. It’s a short drama with a few choices to make in order to get a good or a bad ending. After finishing both endings, you’ll unlock an extra scenario. The story revolves around the discrimination against immigrants in South Korea and it also shows that some citizens don’t agree with that xenophobic behavior. The English translation of Tears 9, 10 is alright, there are a few mistakes, but it’s readable. The art was cute and I loved the piano songs! I just think this VN is missing a CG gallery option if people want to see the images they’ve collected again. 7/10.

A game under 2 hours is short. I don't know what to say as a Chinese. But without national dissension, it's a game full of emotion.Scenes outside, inside, and a few words, they did give me a ride of roller coaster of the plot. Having played '120 Yen' before, I felt a moist solicitude like a kettle of mild tea with a little astringency but a lasting fragrance. 词汇不难,但是请让我说一句:我们需要中文! Not a large vocabulary is required, but let me say: We need Chinese!

It is a quite depressive visual novel. I have to admit I don't quite like the story. I think it is a little bit poor-written, and the English translation aren't good. Also, the end of the plot is kind of unclear... Nonetheless, the social problems posted in the story are quite real, both in the age this got originally published (2002) and today.
Also, the China problem isn't getting any better ...
As for the music... The music pieces are fine albeit unpolished. But in my humble opinion, it would be a lot better if some dynamic range compressors are applied to the background music.

A short, sweet, and depressing visual novel that is good for the price. The English translation is iffy, but is still readable and you'll fully understand what is being said. Go out and get this visual novel, anons! Because I'll still be feeling after this one.

I've always wanted to play this ever since it popped up in the Google Play store, and I'm now glad that it's now on Steam. Tears 9, 10 is possibly the first Korean visual novel I've ever played. For its short length, the story itself is substantial, and I can't help but sympathize with Yeonji, the heroine, as she carries on her own struggles.
And for a Korean visual novel originally released in 2002 with illegal immigration as one of its major themes, the events depicted there sure come as harsher in hindsight with the issues surrounding illegal immigrants in the US today.
All in all, this is a timeless tale with lessons we can learn, especially with all the societal issues still plaguing us today.
