Some quick notes as I just finished:
+Very detailed rooms and assets
+Satisfyingly creepy setting
+Interesting puzzles
+I quite enjoyed the dark comedy moments
-Short
-Not much to interact with, I understand it's probably for simplicity sake
Priced perfectly if you ask me. Not quite "I Expect You to Die" polish, but a very well made solid experience.
I have this studio on my radar now and I look forward to their future offerings!

This is a narrative-driven escape room puzzle game. It took me a little less than 2 hours to complete the game. I found the game to have beautiful graphics and a nice little story for a budget-priced game. However, the puzzles were not challenging at all and were mostly just find the hidden item to progress.
This game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080 I was getting a steady 90 fps on the highest graphical settings. You do have full locomotion and snap turning available, along with teleportation and comfort options.
I did experience a serious bug where one of the items required to progress the game did disappear. However, I was able to restart the chapter, but I did lose some progress. I do think the VR interactions could have have been more polished as you basically just point and click near items to grab them. Your walking speed is just a bit too slow, even though the map overall is small. On the plus side, there are several well-detailed rooms to explore.
The cinematics and voice-overs are quite nice, especially for an indie budget title. Although there isn't much to the story, it definitely is better than most VR escape rooms. While this VR escape room is better made than most, the puzzles are quite disappointing. Puzzle veterans should definitely pass on this, however, this may be perfect for casual puzzle fans or for newbies to the escape room genre.
Rate 6/10. I bought this on the Steam Halloween sale at half price and I think that's the perfect price for the quality of this game.

The game is incredibly well made. The assets, interactions and puzzles were all great. As someone who enjoys escape rooms this was really great and perfect timing. I was able to complete this in 45 minutes which might seem short for a game but you look at the price tag and compare to other escape rooms, this is a solid deal. I won't spoil the story so avoid this part but
the ending really gave off the idea of multiple stories being added to this which I think would be really cool. Being able to see the crimes of all the prisoners would be really fun and great form of DLC
Pros:
- Puzzles
- Visuals
- Music (wasn't on a lot but when it was I enjoyed it)
- Item grip was fantastic, every item had it's own unique grip which was great to see from a developer POV and even just a user
- The on-boarding was very helpful, showed controls for most devices and was thorough
Cons:
- Wish I could control my speed a bit more
- I believe that there should be more locomotion controls (teleport is always nice to have, although I do prefer the one provided)
- Some sounds / physics were off, for instance the basketball (This is me being picky)
Solid 9/10 for me

This is great during the early parts where there are clues to follow, but I hate HATE HATE hidden object VR games, which is what this turns into. A "puzzle" needs a logical flow (like there is in the earlier sections). Not just throwing stuff around until you find a number written on the back of an object.
Still, atmosphere graphics and production are all really good.
The bugs clinch it for me though. Continual black screen crashes and a crouch button that doesn't work makes me, on balance, not recommend this game.

I enjoyed the game but I had some issues with the puzzles.
Lets go over the graphics first. They are really good and I got immersed immedelity.
the music is good too but some of the sound effects where a bit of. There was one part where I was moving a chair and it
sounded like nuclear explosion
The game kept me on my toes and did a good job creating a spooky enviroment.
The controls where ok but my biggest issue lies with the puzzles as stated earlier.
Most of them where simple and straightforward but others made no sense and where quite boring which is a shame.

Fun game! I love games that are logical and this one is. The visuals were fantastic, the music was perfect. And gimme a break, even the credits at the end were great! Huge thumbs up!!

Very nice game & well done. Good graphics, atmosphere & sound. Not particularly scary & has some tricky puzzles. Played on PSVR2 with adapter. Would have liked an option for smooth turning & to be able to manually save but overall highly recommended.

Stocksynd House is yet another game that tries to psychologically disturb you in virtual reality. It claims to be an escape room type of a game but be warned that this game is more of a point and click adventure (features very specific hints though unlike those adventure games). Unfortunately, in VR it means a lot of walking, opening cabinets, throwing stuff around, picking stuff (from the ground) etc. which I do not consider particularly fun or entertaining activity - rather the opposite. The game uses only one possible mode of locomotion which is free locomotion and non-configurable snap turn.
Graphically, the game looks very well. The lighting is not realistic and broke the little immersion I had. Nonetheless the ambience is really nice (it's very creepy).
I loved the little music there was in the game. I enjoyed various sound effects, many were rather comical.
The game has some really nice physics. It is sad that this was not used more in the game as that would be one of the game's strong points. However I was very glad I could stack items on something and move all of them this way across the room to save me some walking.
I would recommend this game to those looking for a nice creepy atmosphere and like to walk around and enjoy the environment. Otherwise this game does not have much to offer in terms of game play or story.

liked this game, few puzzles but mostly finding objects not to complicated, nice it has meaning to the story at the end, graphics are good, option to turn up resolution, had no problems with this game at all, no objects going missing or bouncing off into the great beyond like some cheaper VR games, solid game.

This game consists of a series of VR escape rooms where you must find certain items in order to continue into the next room. However, there is very limited interactivity and only certain items can be interacted with. The main problem I had is that there is no teleportation option. I really don't understand why because having this option would not ruin immersion. Numerous other VR escape room games have this option and it works just fine. Free locomotion and jittery movement caused me a great deal of nausea in this game. There is also no manual save and checkpoints are very far away. So you must complete an entire room and sometimes two in order for the game to save. There is also sometimes scary music blaring during sections where nothing is really happening and aliasing issues are quite noticeable as well. I also experienced a major bug on numerous occasions where I paused the game and could not resume due to being locked in a black screen, so I was forced to restart and lose my progress. Overall, I cannot recommend this game, especially to those like myself who need a teleportation option.

The graphics are realistic and immersive, but the quality is not consistently good for all the levels and objects. It has a few simple VR mechanics like free locomotion, snap turning, grab/put things and use of flashlight. But they don't feel polished, often glitchy. The sounds need polish, too.
However, none of those are game breakers. Even if I don't like puzzles that relied on hidden objects, I can't complain that the game's style is already emphasized as Escape The Room, a genre that almost always needs a keen eye and attention to the room environment.
I liked the way that it feels more than an average VR Escape The Room game, with its story elements and gamewise flow.

Thoroughly enjoyable - ambiance, sound, concept are all fun. The creator's personalities really shine through in light-hearted touches too.
Only complaint is that I find the game unbearably nauseating! I don't tend to experience this with VR at all; but couldn't play for more than 15 minutes at a time without sweats, nausea and dizziness.
Not a bad deal for $10
Puzzles: Good, maybe a little on the easy side.
Plot: Decent. If you've played psychological horror games before, it's pretty standard, but at least it's conveyed well.
Atmosphere: Generally pretty good. Sometimes the background music builds up to scare chords when there's nothing going on, and that's a bit disconcerting.
Annoyances: Limited flashlight batteries. Why? What's the point of doing that, in any game, ever? And in this game in particular, clues can be hard to find if you don't have enough light.

Played on Hp G2
Bit conflicted here, in some parts the game works well, in others it falls amazingly flat. Let's get the bad out of the way.
Muddy, low res textures in some places, doesn't run well, it really needs another optimisation pass.
Not so much a puzzle game, more find this object to progress.
Clumping walk speed is maddeningly slow, and torch mechanic is overly awkward.
Tonally all over the place, dark story with genuine horror elements interrupted by text about straining on the toilet or how funny a talking horse would be. ???
Voice acting is amateur, and often pointless eg. I'm just talking to you to say you are own your own etc...
However, physics are well done on the very many objects in the world. There is a decent story which unfolds, if a bit tonally hit and miss. Some good spooky moments and clever twists on level design toward the end, which brings narrative aspects together pretty well.
Good enough price for game length.
All in all, a swing and a miss for me but there are parts to enjoy here. Maybe the next effort from this admittedly talented team will knock it out of the park.

+ Fun
+ Nice ambiance
+ Price for content
+ Some puzzles don't actually hold your hand through the puzzle.
- Most puzzles do hold your hand.
- Not quite horror
- Definitely did rely on jump scares for a few of the spooky moments
- Not exactly an "Escape Room"
- Some rooms, like the bedroom with the locked cabinet are buggy.
3/5
Nice game with a somewhat scary ambiance that sometimes doesn't hold your hand with puzzles but usually does. I'm not sure I'd personally call it a horror game since I hadn't really gotten any spooky/anxiety feelings with it. But my wife thought it was too spooky to play from the get-go so I assume it changes depending on your tolerance for scary things. I'd say it's worth the price as is and a definitely grab on sale.

This game was incredible. It was puzzling, scary, enjoyable, and just overall amazing. For their first game, they should be very proud.
-The physics were better than most games, but could have been a little better.
-The puzzles were challenging, but not too challenging to not be solvable.
-It was very scary. Although, I do get scared very easily.
-There is a story behind it, and it is very well put together.
-It really has that escape room feel.
-There is also a sandbox mode, so that's cool.
If I had to rate it, I'd say a 8/10. It's a cool experience, only lasting a few hours, that is definitely worth the $10
Great job guys, this game was fabulous.

I was originally a beta tester of this game, although that beta was pretty close to the final already haha. Anyways I'm happy to see the final polished product - lots of nic-nacs got in there, lots of stuff to explore. Clearly made with care and attention as you literally always find something new if you look hard enough. Neat little game.

It was pretty good. Had a good time going through the game and it was spooky. Wasn't jump scare oriented which is amazing thank god. It's a game that 100% uses it's atmosphere in the world it created to do what it can. (that painting on the wall in the house with the man in it could totally have had the man removed when you looked away and looked back and that would have been cool. I was half expecting it too)
Gameplay feels good despite not being able to break things >:( I spent a lot of time just kind of throwing things around and attempting to interact with the environment which was quite fun. Nice that not everything had to be grabbed either to be knocked around which was neat and added to the aspect (I bumped so many fucking cabinets)
Only real downside was the playtime and that's fine as it was priced as to what I thought it would be for that amount of time. I was fully prepared for more, but hopefully we keep getting more content like this.
I lost my mind on the last puzzle with the safe combination because I 100% though that the cardboard boxes around the room with the fragile / this way up / water symbols on them were a part of the puzzle. TURNS OUT i sat on the ground counting symbols on boxes for no goddamn reason. Definitely laughed about that one a bit
GOsh GOlly GoGo-JUice this is just. Disappointing.
1. No smooth turn.
2. literally one option to turn off tunnelling which doesn't seem to work.
3. thought more things would be physicsy but nope.
Graphically nice looking, the hands work, just a massive pain in the dick to play because of there being no smooth turn in a game that could easily have it. There's no reason for it not to be in. Puzzles aren't particularly challenging, but then I didn't go very far.
Add smooth turning.

Took me ~1.3hrs to finish it exploring most of the map, and watching the credits till the end. Worth the price.
Very good graphics, good performance (120fps with a gtx1080)
Finger tracking works perfectly! Not that its used for much, but still, i love seeing my hands follow my real life movements.
Good story told via newspaper clippings, environment clues, and overall atmosphere, which is great, good pace, doesnt feel too slow or hangs or too difficult, just once i had to go back to find something i obviously missed.
There are a few cons, like not everything is interacteable, leading to trying to grab ungrabbable stuff, including some stuff that yould expect to be able to grab/open, like drawers (you cant open any of them), but you can open cabinet doors, and actually can push them without button interaction (for some reason i love being able to do this!).
There where less puzzles than i expected, and most where "find the item you need next" (usually a key) so, id be somewhat pressured to say this is a "puzzle" game (dont get me wrong, there ARE puzzles, just a bit too few).
Id say this is a "walkingsimulator/narrative/escapetheroom" game...
I didnt like the way you handle the flashlight, or the way batteries are used, but it works in game. Also, some SFX are way too loud like cabinet doors. These cons are really easy to ignore because the game does look great and the story is interesting.
For the price, and overall quality, id say this is a worthy game that accomplishes what it sets out to do, provide a short, interesting and tense narrative in an immersive and good looking world.

Atmospheric creepy VR escape room.
Beware that it is mostly based around hidden objects rather than puzzles. I usually don't like such gameplay, but it blended well with horror parts: it's quite engaging to search for something in a dark room with flashlight batteries running low and spooky things happening around. The game has good "horror curve": instead of trying to give you a heart attack right from the start, it progressively becomes more unsettling and gruesome.
Locomotion and item interactions are quite janky, but tolerable. I've had a noticeable in-game hands stuttering during movement, but it might have been some problem on my end, since there is no such thing in a gameplay videos of other players.
Visuals are a bit uneven: lighting is quite good but a lot of objects lack polygons and HD textures. The game would have been way scarier if human models were more realistic.

Well... I don't usually like being forced to play with smooth locomotion, because I can't handle it forever. There will come a point when I get sweaty and slightly nauseous and need to take a break. That said... the game was so much fun, that I'll forgive the lack of movement options (just this once!). It looks absolutely gorgeous and had an engaging story and fun puzzles. Physics and interaction with the world are nice and work well with the small caveat that it's not obvious which objects can be manipulated and which ones are fixed. Not a big problem, though. The addition of a fun sandbox mode... I mean syndbox of course... is just icing on the cake. Oh, by the way: No jump scares, just a very nicely eerie atmosphere throughout. I loved that.

I have finished the game after the crouch was explained by the developer (I see it's a hint that comes up sometimes when you start).
The puzzles are challenging - a couple I found really hard but got there in the end.
A really enjoyable game and the visual settings are very realistic.
No hesitation in a recommendation for this.
Previously
I have a Quest and with Virtual Desktop play most games without a problem.
I play this game seated.
The game however has a non adjustable floor level so that when reaching down to something on the floor or in a container as in the kitchen for example you cannot get to any objects that may be there.
I liked the game up to the point a could not go further because of this limitation - any chance to remedy the problem so I can keep playing?

I've only made it to the third chapter so far. But already I can see this game is very polished. It's heavily story-based, so the puzzles seems to take a backseat to the story. I don't mind that, because I like story-driven games and complicated puzzles are sometimes frustrating.
Also, I'm happy that the tunnel vision can be disabled, because I hate games that force comfort options. Really enjoying the game so far, and can't wait to see how the story progresses.

A fun escape game....with good graphics/sounds, story, and controls......no issues or problems playing this with Vive and Vive wands.
I have played a lot of escape games..most are lousy, but this one is one of the better escape games and for the price it is worth it. Yes..it is a little short 2-3 hours. But the puzzles are fun...challenging at times but none are show stoppers and hints are there if you take your time and look around.
The Devs did a great job with this one....and I would keep my eyes on this developer for some future hits based on this game.

I kind of wish there was a neutral recommend option because while this isn't bad (especially not for $10) but I'm just really not feeling it.
It's just sort of generic. Spooky haunted house/escape the room/point in click adventure stuff that you used to be able to buy for $10 in the video game section of wal-mart only, you know, in vr.
Ultimately I feel like I'm never going to bother to finish this so I can't really recommend it either.

More or less excellent. It's an escape house! Length is right on point, and the puzzles are easy enough for me to complete, which I really appreciate. It runs a little poorly and the rendering is scratchy, but the graphics themselves are alright (albeit everything is a bit dark). The scale of the house and the objects is excellent. The flashlight/battery system is a bit pointless. You don't really need the flashlight except for one room and you either have to have the batteries or you're gonna reload from a prior save. That's tedious, but really made all the more so buy the fact that darkness sucks in VR and should be used sparingly. Hey, so I got this computer hat on my head, light up the pixels, damn. Other than the darkness and the pixel aliasing, it truly is very, very good though. Well done.
You were the bad guy the whole time and you're in jail and it's all a hallucinatory experience brought on by psychotropic/narco-analytic drugs. Haven't finished the game yet, but I'm looking forward to it!
Gameplay is pretty damn solid for an escape room VR game.
No clunkyness or nauseating movement. The smooth locomotion
is a perfect speed imo.
Story I can only speculate at this point, but it sounds like it's one
of those "all comes together at the end" sort of things, which I love.
Graphics are honestly top tier, puts most VR titles in this price range to shame.
Sound is great and better than expected when playing with physics items.
All in all I'd give this game 9/10, only because I feel like I'm already half way through at an hours
playtime and honestly don't want it to end. I hope the other game modes give me some
replayability because what I've experienced so far has been really fun and entertaining.
Kudos to CyberFlux Games! This is a good title!
