Warlock of Firetop Mountain launched with no shortage of adventurers, and this content expands that even more. You get three new adventurers with new unique stories and quests that put a real spin on things. To keep things fresh, the new characters have a new dungeon to go through... well, half of one. A new route through Firetop Mountain, complete new content, up until it dumps you at about the halfway point of the main route, past the portcullis in the jail. I enjoyed the content I played, even if the second half of Firetop Mountain is almost complete rote memory to me by now. The new half of the adventure is certainly enough of an excuse to get me back throwing dice.
But that's not all. The DLC also includes the ability to run the normal Firetop Mountain route as a selection of monsters with unique movesets. This mode has you going through the gamebook, but the point there is to get in as many fights as possible to enjoy the combat with these new abilities. Firetop combat is fun, but I don't think it's THAT fun. Still, if you needed Soul to unlock more characters, this mode would help with that.
For the quality of the stories here, I think this DLC is worth the price. It may be a tall order to recommend to someone who hasn't beaten Zagor like a government mule a dozen or so times as you still have plenty of content to consume as is, but it is nice to have a completely new, original quest.
