Block King

When I bought this game, it was with a couple of my friends, and we only bought it because it was on sale, and we thought it would be bad, but loading up the game, I slowly but surely got addicted, and within 2 (almost 3) hours, I reached level 11,000. The game is very addicting, and really tenses you up, but I must say, the x-ray power up is disorienting, the camera angles are a little bit strange, and I'd love to see a first-person mode. But other than those, it's very fun, and I'd love to see what this game is capable of!

Block King is a simple game: Make your friends and enemies fall out of the map. As a port coming over from the Xbox Live indie market place, I can say this is a great port of the original version of all who loved it there. It's great fun to just hop on and play with a couple of friends on an online "game-night." There are many different block types, such as the rainbow and ice blocks. The rainbow block instantly launching you into the air. Whether that helps you or not, depends on your situation. On the other side of the spectrum there is the ice block, destroying all of your hopes and dreams by taking away your ability to jump, creating situations where you have to run around like a mouse under a glass bowl as other players in the game try to snipe you like an MLG. This game is overall a great experience, as long as you can get over the somewhat wonky perspective, you'll be glad to buy this after you are put into tight situations, where the outcome is only decided on your skill, and a little bit of luck. Have fun!

If i were to compare this product, purchased by me on a dark boring night, to another product of similar price, i would have to say this game is amazing. The value included within this package, vastly surpasses the amount of legal tender i depleted my bank account of. The game is colorful, nostalgic, fast paced, challenging and invigorating to play. Me and my chap suffered no ill consequences with the multiplayer functionality. The bots were very well programmed, perhaps the most challenging game of chess i have ever played could never compare. The voice acting, is superb. Sir Patrick Stewart would be ashamed had he heard such a pristine example of the auditory arts. To conclude, i would urge that every soul purchase this game at my behest. Please give this developer his well earned living, as a legendary game-developer on the same level as Notch, Richard Garriott, Tim Schafer or Warren Spector. Bounced on my boys D to this.

This game let's you become the king of blocks. Destroy the world around your enemies to take the throne. Grab powerfull powerups that power you up. For every victorious battle you gain experience, which you can spend to take on perplexing shapes and textures. "Block King" is an online, high paced shooter? I'm not too sure. The main concept of the game is you play against enemies and shoot out the blocks beneath them to end their lives. Blocks are a one shot kill - if you are unfortunate to be standing on one whilst an enemy is shooting in your direction, prepare to be booted out to the main menu. Speaking of which, the design is incredibly clunky. Upon launching the game I was greeted with audio being blasted down my ear canal, and with no volume controls in-game, I had to result to editing this in the Windows mixer. Gameplay is relatively boring - the clunky controls and unsightly graphics are a turn-off for any hardcore gamer interested in a new action shooter game. I purchased this game during a special promotion for 47 pence, however the regular price is slightly more. In conclusion, this game is fun for about 2 minutes, then you want to close and let it lie in your Libary forever more, and hope your Steam friends didn't see you launch the game in the first place.

It's definitely not "the fastest, most intense shooter on Steam". It's one of those games where it's bad in a good way.
