A neat little indie game that satisfies my inner maze-wanderer... Lots of new features added in the last couple of years, including a level editor and performance fixes. Worth buying, and worth spending a few hours in! :) Also, for the one achievement that was glitching out for me, the dev was kind enough to add another way to unlock that particular achievement. So, not only is this an active game, but the dev still pays attention to it and gives it some love from time to time. Thanks for being cool!

It's a great game if you just want to relax with some low-impact mental aerobics. The soundtrack is mellow and there's no rush to finish unless you're trying to beat a certain time. Also, you can mark the maze in various ways as you pass through it to help find the exit. Pretty basic but that's part of what I like about it. Well worth $5 just for the time I've put in so far.

Good mazes I guess, but I can't be bothered playing it for hours. Mazes aren't my thing. Had this game in my library for months from a steam coupon, just used SAM to forget about it.

I haven't played a lot of Project Maze but I see potential in this game. I am recommending this game in advance with hope that developers will put some work into it.
PROS
Mazes. Well you would expect 2 minutes mazes in such a game, I have news for You, it is not. It felt like I was running forever stuck in endless space. Soundtrack. Music in Project Maze added to that lost feeling and helped to immerse myself.
NEUTRAL
Visuals. Initially I put graphics in pros, but after second thought I moved it here. I can't say anything about visuals or graphics because they are good. What I want is more variety. Yes current design is hypnotizing and confusing making you feel lost easily, however I want different designs, different patterns, different walls, same level over and over can become boring easily.
CONS
Modes. There are only few modes and they are not balanced right now. Ones containing enemies are just too hard because of the way enemies behave. They just chase till you are dead and in maze You need to go back often and You end up just in front enemy. Multiplayer. I can't say anything bad about multiplayer because there isn't any and Project Maze needs it. Some competetive speedrun through maze against friend would be nice.
CONCLUSION
[■■■■■■□□□□] Decent with bright future if developers will put more effort. I am recommending Project Maze in advance because I believe that developers can get there. Current state doesn't offer much but it can be fixed with few patches and it doesn't cost much. [ This is a changed review! The comments down below with the developer were aimed at an earlier review a way back ] Some time ago i gave this game a thumbs down as it wasn't quite polished and had a lot of problems. Now i tried it again and it got much better, but it is far from perfect. First of all when you start the game it all looks well made, you got the unreal engine intro, a little intro page from the developer and a nice looking and working main menu. In the options you can change many different settings and the game can even detect settings that fit your pc. It seems you can play singeplayer and multiplayer ( havent played multiplayer yet as none of my friends own this game ) but in singleplayer you can decide between a timed and a non timed maze, and you can even "create" random mazes by putting in a seed of your choice. The gameplay itself consists of what you would think, you are in a maze running around trying to find the exit, theres also music playing that isnt too calm so it fits quite well. But i think the compliments for the game stop here. Of course the point of the game is walking around in a maze, but the gameplay is just really bland because that is literally all you do, and the "world" or better to say the maze around you just looks boring, i mean the walls look good and the colours and textures are chosen well but everything looks the same so the game gets boring very fast. Also you are clammed in these small thin corridors that you easily loose your sense of direction in, which could be the aim of a maze game, but it doesn't make much fun. Overall i can say that the game is now much better than some monts ago but i still have some problems with it. Mainly that everything looks the same so the gameplay quickly becomes very bland. But still i will recommend the game as some people would surely have fun with it and i can see that the developer is working on it!

I love this. Finally a maze game with the right content: MAZES. No damn distracting stuff, side quests, monsters, weird stuff around, just the pure pleasure of solving mazes. If you love mazes like I do, it's a 10/10

Don't have time to write a full review but first impressions: interesting concept, mazes tend to get a little same-y but playing a game that doesn't have me do a whole bunch of crazy stuff is refreshing, only issue I can see right now is that there's not really much to do other than wander through a bunch of mazes with no purpose.

The game is super simple: you need to get out of randomly generated maze. I liked the style of the game and I wish I had the tutorial on the following: 1) how to play small maze for practice and to get the 1st achievement. 2) on abilities: i.e. what does yellow and blue lines mean. You will figure out quickly, but it is annoying for a new player.
