Well, I likes me some tower defence, and I likes me some VR - so, a match made in heaven? Well.... almost.
First off the bat, the presentation and visuals are really, I mean *really* slick. This is well above the trashy 'I think I will make a video game' fodder that chokes the Steam VR catalogue.
So, a quality games made by people who know how to make games (this combination is to be treasured in VR).
The controls are intuitive and work really well.
The tutorial is good - in that there is one and it goes over everything.
The mechanics of the game are deep - in one way this is good, but for me they are deep enough to be confusing. I really do not have an idea of what I am doing half the time. One mechanic that I have not seen in TD games before is the ability to rise your 'towers' (actually anime style figures) on platforms - it adds another (simple but effective) layer to the genre.
The second core mechanic is that you combine your figures to make stronger figure. You can also power them up *in some way* by spending gold earned from killing mini bosses. This is where it starts to fall apart for me. You would think that having so many different towers with so many combinations and levels would be a good thing - but there is so much to take in that I have no idea what the towers do, what the combinations do, before I do them, and it becomes a confusing mess after a while, and my brain packs its suitcase and thumbs a lift to simpler pastures. Now, to the games credit, all of this is explained. And to my detriment, maybe it is just me being stupid. But after a while I was hankering for the more direct approach of my favourites. Defence Grid 2 and the (tragically overlooked but wonderful) Last Day Defence.
*** BIG suggestion to the devs - the game would be FAR more digestible if the towers were introduced gradually - level by level. ***
Not only would this make the game easier to understand, but it would add tons more content.
But take these criticisms with a grain of salt - I am an old man, and my brain is starting to fossilise. Holding a cup the right way up is becoming a challenge.
That this is a good game, there is no doubt, and even with my brain still spinning in my head, I still want to get back in there and see if I can decipher this Rosetta stone of the genre.
With all of this - is it worth buying?
100% yes!

As a great anime and tower defense fan, i am terribly disappointed with this game, i regret buying it.
Sound: You can play for hours and feeling that you're listening to the same track over and over again, and it's by default loud.
Interface: Horrible orthographic errors, and many times it takes time loading the loading screen...
Game: There's no sense or feeling of progression, no campaign mode, just one map, place towers, merge towers, upgrade towers, easy win, repeat. You play 3 games and you're already bored of it.

This game is just spectacular! I am using HTC Vive Standard Controls, and the controls are already very easy and understandable, and I rarely find that to be the case in any new games. In the game itself, they claim to be in Early Access. I found zero bugs thus far, and everything is polished like they have already been working on it for three (3) years.
I have only played the two (2) tutorials, and 15 rounds of the 1st Level, and that completed Level 1 with a Boss Fight on the final Round #15 (successful the first time). However, the last 2 rounds, they did get to my crystal to some extent, but the damage was not significant enough to fail.
This has immediately become my favorite game now. It is very deep regarding strategy. There are 30 different towers, and getting familiar with all of them will take a lot of time. There are also elevators you can utilize to move your towers during the attacks to make more use of them strategically. I have been looking for this type of Tower Defense in VR for a long time, and this scratches that itch.
I recommend going through both tutorials, which are very detailed and well done, to give newbies like me sufficient information to jump into the game successfully, and I rarely have opportunity to say that in any reviews. VR tutorials are typically very lacking in detail for new players in my opinion.
Price is very cheap for both the quality and content. I got it on sale when they released it for $7.19, and it retails at the time of this writing for only $8.99. From what I can tell thus far, in this early stage they have Part 1 & Part 2, and both parts have 7 or 8 levels. I think each Level is 15 to 20 rounds, but I only got past Level 1 thus far. I expect the price will increase when more people start purchasing it and content increases, so get it cheap while you can. There are global leaderboards, and people are already getting very high scores for the time this was released.
The English is not perfect, but it is not that bad either. Voices are in Korean from what I can tell, but it sounds good, even though I cannot understand the language. You do not need to know a bit of Korean to effectively play the game.
Developer…if you read this, please put some type of pause button on the controls so we can take a break between rounds! For HTC Vive, just make the Menu Button a pause button so I can get a drink or use the bathroom between rounds. Currently, the Menu button is not even used on either controller for anything. Rating = 10/10….Nice job, Dev! Please keep these types of games coming for us all!
Update 6/6/2020: The developer is still very active in expanding this game, and they already released an update, which was everything people were asking for. This first update is fantastic, and now you can have sufficient time to plan ahead for the next attack between rounds! Now, they are working on adding an Endless mode for the next update, and since it is randomized, it will likely not get boring or repetitive. Next update coming soon!

NOTE I like the game... but I found out suddenly it as of last year it did not have any updates since.
So I guess it's dead? :(
+++Only buy this game if you are okay with it probably not ever being finished.++++
Plays okay on a quest2 but there's this one bug where the game lags wen you use the tech tree.
It's a cheap game so I'm on the fence about if I want to refund it cause the majority of the game still works.
But it's going to disturb me to keep seeing "EARLY ACCESS" when this is not gonna be finished.

It's going to take some time to get my head around this but I know at it's current sale price it was already worth it.
The art is great and the world is comfortable to sit in.
Hard mode can get hectic, but that's part of the fun.
My only problem is the menus, they barely work at times, pulling the trigger can leave you waiting for a good 20 seconds before they do anything and the challenges don't update to show what you score, only on reset do they update accurately.
If that was fixed, it'd be a near flawless experience.

Overly complex controls and severe performance problems make this a hard sell.
Try "Castle must be Mine" instead.

Since there aren't many reviews of this game yet and I think it's really great I decided to add my two cents.
The game is supposedly "alpha" but feels very polished already and I encounters only a few little bugs, none of which were a deal breaker. It has never crashed so far.
I love tower defense games and this one is great:

The graphics and animations are very well done in some kind of manga style. It feels great and runs very smoothly.

The sound is great (even though I don't speak a single word Korean - the UI is English though).

The controls are easy to learn and very intuitive.

There are two tutorials that help getting you started.

The game play is very addictive and triggers this "I have to play that level again - I can do better" vibe. Its very hard to stop playing :-)

It's fast paced and never gets boring since there is always stuff to do (building new towers, merging towers, upgrading levels, activating elevators, completing missions, ...)

The difficulty increases with each level but I find it to be just the right amount of "hard" to be a lot of fun. Its gets a bit more challenging later on which means its not "boringly easy" but it's not "impossibly hard" or "over the top frustratingly hard" either.

The price is great. I bought the game in a sale at 20% off and payed less than 6€. After quite a few hours of playtime I think It looks and feels like a considerable amount of effort went into making the game and it's easily worth the full price without discount.
I haven't really found anything not to like. Just a few minor suggestions (in case the devs are reading this):

I would like to have a key binding to recenter the viewport.

Like someone else already suggested a pause option would be nice.

There is an option to quit a level. It would be nice to also have a option to directly restart a level. This would be also nice to have after you failed a level.

Since towers and upgrades are purely random it would be nice to be able to move towers to a different location to add another strategic element. I'm not sure how this would affect balance and game play though. Maybe movement would have to be restricted to the times when no enemies are present.
If it isn't obvious to you by now - I highly recommend this game. If you like tower defense games and have a VR headset you really should give this one a shot.

This is a very fun game and done very well I also like the newest update with the easy mode in which helped my slow old brain to wrap around it more. I really like how you can view the characters on the touch pad as well. To bad though sometimes my Rift S glitches out but it does that with most games. Being new to VR this was one of the first games I downloaded for it and glad I did. I will surely be playing more in the future and would recommend this game to anyone that likes Tower defense games and Anime.

It now works somewhat reasonably with the Index controllers, I expect it'll improve more once they have a controller to test with. Movement of the map is now, with a firm grip from one hand, while the other hand is pretty much only used managing the towers. The joysticks function as intended so you're not struggling to hit left/right on the thumb touch pad anymore.
If you like playing TD games, or want a more casual VR experience where you're not moving around a lot this game is well worth its price. Large variety of towers makes for interesting game play, and I'd imagine a bit of a learning curve later on in the game.

Really fun game, fantastic art! It gets pretty hard to stop them from reaching the top of the tower once the first few waves pass. Really enjoyed this!

Since there aren't really many reviews on this and I think it's more than worth its price, I decided to write a small review here. This game is quite a lot of fun. It looks amazing and the soundtrack is really fitting. I played this game about an hour by the time writing this review and can really recommend it. Totally underrated at the moment.

Watch my video here https://youtu.be/73HALtXMg2U
Played on the Rift S,
Graphics are done in this nice Japanese style with a touch of Anime. Looks clean and sharp in the Rift S. So much detail went into this!
Audio. As with Anime type games the voice is in Japanese, but this doesn't stop you from being able to play the game. Other sound are very good and the music is catchy. I had it turned off in my video due the fear of it being copyrighted.
Gameplay is very addictive. I mean I thought I would review this then just wouldn't have the time to come back to play it again, but no I'm hooked like Joe Exotic is to straight men and tigers. I like tower defence type games, however this isn't your normal Gatling or arrow turret tower game. In this game Anime looking characters are your towers and they do alot of different things so much so it take time to learn it all. There is a level system, upgrading system, missions to complete, bosses to vanquish and global leader-boards. 10 levels in part one and another 10 in part two.
Some negatives are. There isn't many enemy types, which is such a huge disappointment. No graphic setting, which is no big loss in this type of game.
It is an early access game so things could change at any time, but as it stands I found it a very good tower defence game. Recommended from me.

Took me a couple rounds to get used to the controls, but once I did it was smooth sailing. I love Tower Defense and this combines it very well with VR. Really good for the price. Anime girls as towers is adorable and the animation decent.

A good VR Tower Defender.
If you like the Tower Defense type, you have a VR headset and you like the art style, for the price of the game I'd say is a must buy. After you complete a level with 1-3 objectives, you get points to invest in the skill tree.
The only bad aspect I must say, is that it has the RNG part when you combine 2 towers to get a new rarer one.
Edit:
- got the game on sale for 5,91€

Very addictive tower defense game with beautiful anime-style artwork. It takes advantage of the 3d/vr thing by having multiple parallel lanes with elevators you can use to move your towers between height levels.
Another nice thing about this game is that you can play it even if you have little space in your room; you rotate the tower in front of you instead of having to physically move.
Also, the time it takes to play a stage is perfect. It's around ten minutes, but you end up losing and restarting a lot, and after a while immersed in the action of managing your cute little towers you don't notice you've played for half an hour or more.

This game is not bad but it's not great. They did an update a while back that broke the game (my hands stopped working). So beware it's not totally stable.
But besides that as a tower defense game it's just average. Not great. The strategy and level vaiety isn't as strong as some others i've played.
Maybe due to everything being random it's difficult to nail down a strong strategy.
That's my opinion after 8 hours. Finished about half the maps. It probably gets better but after 8 hours it's just average.

INITIAL REVIEW
This may be my new favorite VR game. While the controls could be tightened up a bit when moving the map, overall it plays very well.
If you enjoy tower games or simply a different take on tower games, check it out!
UPDATED REVIEW
After having worked towards the high score on all maps and having played every stage at least 10 times, I still keep coming back to this as one of my favorite VR games.
While there are grammatical issues (ex: "be hurry" which is a common mistake in translating Chinese to English as well as "upgarde" which should say "upgrade" in the tech points spending screen) and a few functional issues (ex: accidentally clicking the stage elevator due to poor map placement), the game overall is a lot of fun. Playing for high-score is also fun and rewarding since you can always work towards something better.
Overall, I highly recommend the game!

Overall pretty fun game! Very polished for a early access game.
One thing I wish they had was sandbox mode - unlimited rounds and build as much as you can.
