You know what. I don't let reviews make a decision for me, but I honestly do wish that even though I know I didn't have to spend the (discounted) money on this game, I did anyway, and I regret it. It seems as if the dev has ceased updating for it, the translations are absolutely something out of this world; not only do they not describe what is going on, there are also blank bars that I -assume- were there for telling me what I am picking up. Except I have no idea what I was picking up. Because the bars were blank. Appreciation for ESL game developers who try to translate in to English, but this was just...a lot to take in. Or not, as the case may be.
You, from what I could figure out, as the premise of the game is super simple - Get a shop, sell things at your shop, go explore a little forest, and come back to sell those things at the shop, too. Get some new counters, fish up some fish, feed them to Pom, your actually useful in the forest shoulder fairy, rinse, repeat. Except on two days a week where you can go to the market and...get absolutely nothing you can't get from wandering about for three minutes in the forest. That aside, it's an obvious game, made in a popular genre, that could have been adorable, but it's seemingly been abandoned.
The forest itself is something else, too. Just a real keen piece of work. I go out, to find eighty stone, so I can upgrade my shop, see? And I get 25 or so on my dangerous trip through a few levels (never have I got past 18, because it gets dark too fast to do so), I return home, and lo! I have three stone. Where did the other stone go? Was I just picking them up and hurling them in to the sun? No idea. All I know is I don't have room in my shop for more things. And my hobby is apparently tossing stones in to the ether instead of lugging them back for my QOL upgrade.
All that aside, I would have gladly continued to play the game, -if it was to be updated- and all of these odd little bugs fixed. They are not. Even at six dollars, heck, even at three. No, one dollar. I would not recommend buying this UNLESS the developer decides to come back and fix what makes it a rough, rocky road. Or rather, a rough, non-rocky road, seeing as I still don't have enough stones to upgrade my shop, and at this rate, I never will.
