Gold Mining Simulator

I have owned this game for 4 years now with a total of 225 hours. This is my first time writing a review of a game since I joined Steam. I have enjoyed playing this game. I like the concept of it or the mechanics of the game but it can be frustrating and boring because of the grind. It takes a while to get going and when you get to the point to have machinery it can be a pain in the ass MOSTLY when you are setting up the wash plant when you are using a excavator ( controls of the excavator are frustrating when you are new to this game the same goes to the bulldozer also) you have to have the whole boom of the excavator almost maxed out when your using the long cables or else parts of the wash plant likes to caught on into things and breaks the cables or have a peace of the wash plant ( trommel or what it is, a long ass pipe that spins for a example ) gets caught on the rough terrain so it spins having it backwards when your going to place it. So in all I liked the idea of the game, digging dirt putting into the wash plant, manually clean out the wash plant and I like manually fixing things. BUT my main problem for this game is performance issues. for all the years that I had this game optimization is still very poor even with a bunch of updates and DLC and even the latest game engine update not to long ago still feels the same. For example, when you are looking around from either left to right or right to left you clearly see a lot of jitters like running between 30 or 25 fps (frames per second) but normal looking up and down. Another issues that I am constantly dealing with is either the games memory or cash leaking performance like starting at 136 fps (frames per second) and watch it start to fall to 33 fps. in the past it took while for the games performance to fall, like around 2 hours and after this games engine update either 15 or 20 minutes into it performance just tanks. I have a strong pc that can handle intense games over 100 fps but for this game average 33 fps not really good gaming experience. So my recommend that's up to you I explain my point of view of this game, my experience the best I can ( not the greatest writer ) for me would put a thumbs down cause I don't know if the game would have a major improvements but I can see developers are communicating with people so I hope this game can be fix. So i'll leave that here. P.S Developers if you are reading this Please add a bigger wheel loader that would be nice thanks.

It's old, it's janky, it's fun. Who is this for? The sort of player that appreciates that one cannot drive up to a trailer and "press button" to attach and move on. You need to line up and then go outside to manually attach trailer. This is a "hands on" kind of game. Who is it not for? The instant gratification crowd.

This game takes time to get into but once you start to get to the higher tiers of the game it becomes pretty fun using all the big machines

39 minutes and got a refund. One of the worst games I have played with such a massive tutorial and all the info but can't even find basic information. Movement is over drastic in vehicles, driving a pick up truck, not a F1 racing vehicle. I do not see many positive reviews but is listed as Mostly Positive and I have no idea how or why it would be.

Horrible controls and performance. Not fun at all. One of my fastest refunds ever even getting it over 50% off. Not worth more than 50 cents.

Pathetic! This abhorrent travesty is riddled with frustrating bugs. Do not buy this, you will regret it. This is not a fun simulator. It is poorly optimized and lacking proper maintenance. A solid waste of time!

COntrols are ass, game runs like shit and loading ever 50 meters you travel and they expect people to buy the 2nd version? Maybe get the 1st version to work right instead

this game is absolute trash do not waste your Money $$$$ they need to refund everyone who wasted money and delete the game

i like the grind part of it but if you dont you can change it to your prefrence. also the DLCs are good and cheep

Good game if you’re into simulator games. There are a few bugs, but nothing game breaking, plus, the devs are still active and their working on a sequel. Well worth it on sale! Note: There are some bugs that are really annoying. Your equipment may launch in the air or fall through the ground, your excavator may turn invisible when exiting, making it difficult to use, there are random invisible walls which stop you and can trap you, though there is a reset button which will fix your equipment back across your claim, and the vehicle sounds don't always work. Still a fun game, when it works, it can be frustrating.

First of all this game is grindy. If you enjoy the grind then this game is for you. 2nd this game is old and the performance is not very good but the gameplay is super solid! Def worth playing if you like a challenge

I really enjoy playing the only thing I dislike is when I'm using the small or big excavator when the bucket gets stuck the excavator will left up and just around on me

1. great game 2. The problem its the saving i save my game start a new save/game and then ill go back to the old one and the only saves there are from the save/game that im playing right now

one of my biggest issues with this game is, The equipment cant get over a flipping little pile of dirt. so stupid. and now the way the dirt piles up in front of the bulldozer . push 2 yards get 20 yards in front of ya.

this game had potential (bought when was "gold rush") i have enjoyed the little time that put into it,bugs and all (which is par for most games nowadays) the main thing this game was missing for me however is multiplayer..hopefully the 2nd game will sort that, this game would have been great with the ability to just sit and lose many many hours grinding away with a few friends, props to the dev though for keeping bringing content out and not abandoning the game ...have wishlisted the 2nd game as see the devs are including co-op
