Great concept that is held back by unstable frame rates throughout most of the game. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this in it's current state, but I'm sure the devs will iron out all of the kinks before the full release. It features a really great soundtrack as well. Assuming the FPS issue is addressed later on, I would keep an eye on this if you are in need of a system shock fix.

After completing the early access for Hyperviolent I can safely say that the full game will be outstanding. I found myself glued to the game from the get go. The level design can at times feel a bit maze like but that usually just adds to the tension you feel as you walk through many claustrophobic corridors filled with the dead. The guns all feel fun to use and figuring out combos you like for the dual wielding system is a lot of fun. I will say however that as a boomer shooter vet my favorite gun as always is the shotgun. While the game itself plays like a boomer shooter after the first couple levels I felt it shared more of a kinship with games like bioshock and system shock. While there are some issues (what Early acc. game doesn't have problems?) none of the issues impacted the gameplay enough to stop playing. The developers clearly love the genre and the game they have created.

A doom-style game with survival horror elements, so basically doom 3

Don't be fooled by the trailers or screenshots. The game looks fantastic but it plays horribly. The game is just clunky and not fun. Feels poorly made.
