This is definitely one of the better packs. The 3 new work jobs offer the ability to follow the sims to work, don't do that, you'll be disappointingly bored. But look, ignoring this, the pack gives 3 new jobs regardless and thats something to add to existing sims. Theres another neighbourhood to explore, not you can do much there which is a downside. then theres the big deal of this pack, aliens. So the best part of the aliens, beyond the aliens themselves, is the make up intended for them actually is really good on Sims in general. I find with the Island Living addition, some of the make up works well with the Merfolk, making the scaly look appear on their faces as well. Along with the alien-eyes (which Sims doesn't really mention) the aliens themselves suck compared to some of the other occult options for the game. But that said... Its just this is mostly one of the better packs for what it offers Sims in general terms. Overall, theres really not much else to say about the pack. The issue I find with Sims 4 is compared to past games, each pack always feels like not a lot was really added. The main focus of the pack, the work place stuff actually really, really sucks. This is one of those packs where its more fun to make sims with it then to play its content.

Unfortunately, while this expansion adds some ok gameplay and Build & Buy items, there are some fundamental bugs that make playing it ARGH! While building a store I suddenly ran into a problem: saving froze the game. No amount of mouse clicking, alt+F4 or swearing helped the situation: the game had to be forced shut. Lost all unsaved progress. Opened the game again, tried exit and save - same thing again. Then my poor laptop froze - except for the fans, which were spinning so fast it nearly took flight. Didn't find answers anywhere on the internet, uninstalling and re-installing expansions didn't help and same crashes happened over and over, so no Sims for a while. Eventually worked out what seemed to have been the issue: when in build mode on a lot with requirements, leaving item requirements unfulfilled can screw up the saving process - even if you move into a different no-requirements lot and try to save there. Had no problems when keeping that in mind, and game saved fine. In the end, Get to Work isn't a shining gem among Sims 4 packs when it comes to gameplay, B&B items are pretty good but not something you can't live without, and the bugs can be more than just your average annoying clipping. 6.5/10, but 0/10 for almost making me start smoking again.
