United Offensive plays like an expansion of the first game probably because that's just what it is. More or less the same experience just with some minor additions and streamlining to make it play smoother. The game is a bit more cohesive then the original because it splits up each nations perspective as its section instead of jumping back and forth with American and Soviet missions. I would maybe give it a better score but the last section of the game at the train yard was so aggravating for me that it keeps my score the same. The rest of the game is good with some interesting levels like in the bomber plane but that last level and a few other small parts of the game are annoying to play.

Game is a technical mess on modern systems, took several installs to even run in the first place after verifying the base Call of Duty and the United Offensive expansion as they kept breaking each other for some reason Once it finally loaded and I could set up the settings, I get into first mission and the aiming is a stuttery mess. Follow a community guide to fix that, launch the game and will give me a random Out of Memory error despite my 32GB of RAM and terabytes of storage Booting the game into safe mode will launch but then it reverts the aim stutter fix so it was another 15 mins of getting it to boot properly without removing the fix Finally in game and having good fun in the first mission, get to the point where you need to use the bazooka to take out several tanks and then the game just randomly crashes at different points of this set piece. Could be after the first tank, after blowing up all three and the american tanks come through or before you even grab the damn bazooka I'm the kind of person to put a lot of effort in to get a broken game to work and done it probably hundreds of times over the years but I've probably spent half this expansions run time trying to get it to work and then when it finally does it just endlessly crashes. The excuse that it's old doesn't apply when you are actively still selling it, either fix the product or provide a warning that mileage may vary and reduce the price. Oh yeah this is $32 Australian dollars standalone btw and I can't refund it without losing the base game and Call of Duty 2 because I got the Warchest bundle. Fantastic

This is basically a DLC or expansion to the original Call of Duty game like the title mentions. So my review will be somewhat similar to the original title as well. I believe the engine is the same too. Graphics are decent, gameplay can be hit or miss. My shots hit more often with hip fire rather than aim down sights (ADS). Perhaps it was the Counter-Strike mechanics from muscle memory to counter-strafe my shots. Or it was the weird resolution I had to work around with on a newer machine (you will likely have some issues because this game was made for older systems). Sprinting was included in this one. It is a short burst however with a cooldown. Also, personally, I am not a fan of the health pack mechanic. Overall, decent campaign (finished in just about 4 hours). I did not care too much for the multiplayer. At the time of this review, some servers seem to be active, can host your own as well.

“The first bullet. The first explosion. The first time I truly felt like I was in a war.” Call of Duty: United Offensive isn’t just an expansion, it’s a memory, a relic, a moment in gaming history that refuses to be forgotten. Back when games didn’t need battle passes, ultra graphics, or daily challenges… all they needed was heart. And this one has plenty of it. * Why Play It in 2025? - Iconic battles: Kursk, Bastogne, Sicily. Each mission feels like a documentary with a pulse. - Enhanced AI, new weapons, bigger explosions. Everything felt more alive. - The multiplayer? A masterpiece. From snowy trenches to bombed-out cities, every map told a story. For the Veterans, It’s Nostalgia. For the Newcomers, It’s a History Lesson. United Offensive doesn’t just simulate war, it makes you feel it. The fear, the brotherhood, the desperation. Each firefight is a memory, every comrade a ghost. Before you ask “what happened to Call of Duty?” play this. This is what it once was. This is what it could be.

A timeless WWII classic with thrilling intensity and cinematic flair 💥 Call of Duty: United Offensive takes everything that worked in the original CoD and elevates it—more weapons, more campaigns, deeper immersion. The missions are epic, from urban firefights to harsh winter battles, and each level delivers that signature adrenaline rush of being in the front line. The environmental detail, squad AI, and sound design still shine—even after all these years. It captures the chaos, camaraderie, and raw emotion of WWII better than most modern shooters. For anyone who loves classic FPS or wants a pure, unfiltered wartime experience, this expansion is a must-play. I recorded a full campaign walkthrough in 4K for those who want to relive every moment or study the levels. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3WtjAvO1vI If nostalgia, cinematic intensity, and solid shooter gameplay appeal to you—this is an easy 10/10. Play it once, love it again.

Call Of Duty: United Offensive DLC Done Right This is everything a DLC should be, the same as the original but better and more. There are fewer missions in comparison to Call of Duty but the missions were longer and much better in my opinion. Familiar grounds Once again you get to play as an American, British and Russian soldier. This time the missions for the Americans, taking place in my country of origin Belgium, are the best. I really loved the Battle of The Bulge and ever since as a kid I was always interested in WWII, also visiting all the villages that endured the gruesome battle and they really nailed it. Definitely took inspiration from classic WWII movies which is nice because I adore these as well. The other way around The missions for the British were also super fun and in contrast to the first game, this time the soviet missions were the weakest but mainly because they were so hard when played on veteran. At least for me these were difficult. But it is the Soviet campaign however where they once again show how much they could accomplish in that day and era. The whole game could easily use a remake/remaster today. Road kill As I’ve said before, I played this on veteran difficulty again but this time it was much harder. You have more teammates but they literally do nothing apart from getting in your way, throwing grenades back at you or getting you a ‘mission failed’ screen because they ran into your crossfire. I also got flattened a couple of times by friendly tanks but that’s a thing that still happens in modern cods... come to think of it, that counts for the other things as well. You can however ask your friendlies to move away but most of the time they just stand there. MEDIC! Gameplay is pretty fun again and even though it is so hard, you can survive by taking your time and making your friendlies move up and take Agro. The checkpoints were very random but then I finally realised it probably had to do something with your remaining health, the game not saving when you had low health. Which is a good thing and I also prefer a health bar over regen health but then you should have access to health pickups or medics... Conclusion To summarize, i had an amazing time with this DLC and loved almost every second! Once again it saddens me how far they moved away from this core and cod is they way it is right now. However time can’t take away the good things and i would really recommend this to any WWII fan! Completion Time: 09:17:02 Overall Time: 3 Days Personal Rating: 9/10 Backlog Progress: 4/801
