A different take from the original PvZ made into a shooter (altho it's not the first shooter game that they made from PvZ), coming from a game that managed not only to get the GOTY of its year but also made a zombie game accessible to all ages, resulted on a fun and entertaining game, somewhat a bit childish sometimes but i think that is part of it's charm and that despite some achievements depending on pvp that nowadays is nonexistent, the rest of it is quite worth it if you want a game to relax... for most of the time.
i was surprised by how well they hid some things, cartoony yet realistic enough (distribution, organisation, dimensions in general...) , how original and well done were most of the maps and the puzzles, specially the "shadows" one, accessible yet challenging even, some bosses also i would daresay closing to hard depending on which character u play with, some where easier than others, and that comes from a hardcore souls-like player xD, those were not super hard but i did feel a change of difficulty... that u most of the times can break by hiding long enough to regenerate, yes but still surprised me enough.
if you have kids you should definately show them this game, if as i said u want to relax but not play by just exclusively smashing random buttons and disconnect in an even friendly atmosphere, except for a few moments were the "attentionmeter" will be raised, this game is definately for you, don't expect it to be the best game ever tho.
The in game micro transactions are completely irrelevant, there are 2 characters for each "team" and you just might find them convenient for specific puzzles or very specific situations, not at al necessary and those can be paid with the in game coins, for free basically just getting enough of it and i would not even call it farming, without the pvp i got all the achievements in almost 52 hours and there are a few hidden things that i intend to find, i wouldn't probably play it whole alone again but if someone wanted a parter i would most likely jump in with them for definately most of the ride.
For me was except for getting the pvp achievements it was good clean fun, great to clear my head and even start those days that one doesn't even want to get out of the room, definately helped me to improve that mood ;D
