If you've ever wondered what it's like to run a high-pressure kitchen while an avalanche of orders rains down on you, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! delivers the experience with all the intensity of a service rush at a five-star restaurant—and none of the clean-up. A sequel to the indie darling Cook, Serve, Delicious!, this entry dramatically expands the menu, adds new restaurant settings, and introduces cooperative gameplay. It's bigger, harder, and—when everything's clicking—more satisfying than ever. What’s Cooking: -Addictive Gameplay Loop: Every level throws dozens of food orders at you, and your job is to prep, cook, and serve them under strict time constraints. It’s part memory game, part reflex test, and part chaos management. When you're in the zone, it's pure adrenaline. -Massive Content: With over 400 food items and dozens of restaurants to work in (each with their own themes and challenges), the variety is staggering. From burgers and sushi to more complex dishes like empanadas and gumbo, there's always something new to learn. -Local Co-Op Mode: Working together in the kitchen is either a great bonding experience or the fastest path to yelling “YOU FORGOT THE TOFU!” at your best friend. Either way, it’s hilarious and genuinely fun. -Customization Galore: You can design your own restaurant’s look, pick your own menus, and replay levels to earn medals. It adds a nice personal touch to the chaos. What’s Undercooked: -Steep Difficulty Curve: The game doesn’t hold back. If you’re not quick on the keys (or controller), it can quickly become overwhelming. While there is a Chill Mode, casual players may still feel the pressure. -Repetition: Though the food variety is massive, the core gameplay doesn’t evolve much across levels. After a while, it can feel like you're grinding the same motions, albeit with different dishes. -UI Learning Curve: The menu navigation and dish selection interface can be a little clunky, especially when starting out or playing with a controller. Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! is a stress simulator disguised as a cooking game—and that’s exactly what makes it great. For players who love multitasking under pressure, chasing high scores, and fine-tuning their muscle memory, this is a five-star dish. It’s not for the faint of heart, but for those who thrive on organized chaos, it’s a feast. A spicy, fast-paced sequel that serves up intensity with every order. Best enjoyed hot—and with a good timer. Rating: 8/10

This is quite literally my favorite game. It is the best one of the series (in my opinion). I have played for hundreds of hours and still have so much to do.

An amazing improvement over Cook, Serve, Delicious!. Most significant is the introduction of holding stations, where you can prepare dishes and side dishes. Not all dishes can be prepared like that though. Side dishes increase customer patience, so you often have to choose what to do with the limited amounts of holding stations. The maximum amount of "prep stations" (the orders coming in from the left) has been increased to 14, which is very daunting.. You'll be using -=[] to access those, and I think that's mostly why CSD2 is much harder than CSD1. The writing has become even better. I laughed a lot at the dish descriptions and the restaurant About me's. They have this very absurd humor. reminds me a bit of Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. The intro "song" is even better than CSD1's. funniest part is always when the girl says Dulleeeeeshus with that voice. like.. why does she say it like that?!.. The soundtrack has expanded a bit from CSD1. It's a nice and happy soundtrack that fits the game, and I'll be nicely and happily buying it in the next sale. Some critique: - as others have said, there's no way to redo an order after making a mistake. but what's even worse and more often the case, you don't even know that you did something wrong until you send the order and the customer is not very happy. The game should provide better feedback imo. Instead I use Radeon Relive to clip the last 30 seconds and rewatch what I did exactly to figure out I missed a key or confused some ingredients. - there's no way to .. move the window ?.. The game is stuck centered in the middle without the typical white bar on top that allows you to move the game window. a very strange oversight. On the plus side, the game is now 1080p instead of CSD1's 720p. minor issues: - hard to find a dish because there's so many, and there's only pictures, no search function or any text. I think I needed 10 minutes to gather 6 dishes that were required for the achievement. It was also not clear at first that I had to buy dish recipes, because some dishes are automatically unlocked as you level up (without having to buy its recipe). - the achievements are a little inconsistent. There's achievements for some restaurants, not for others. It's also weird how they only pop after closing the game. oh well. time for CSD3 let's go!
