Genre - Card Rogue-lite It's a Gwent rogue-lite, does exactly what it says on the tin. How it could be better: More choice on starting decks and builds. Less difficult AI decks to fight, as they always seem on their A game.

Deeply flawed as both a rogue like and as an alternate Gwent game mode. The game is ruined by several things: 1. Each fight lasts one round, and you keep drawing cards during the round. There is no resource management like in regular Gwent and you lose any depth related to decision-making regarding saving/spending cards. 2. You always go first. This means you never have last say and are forced to overextend to make sure you don't instantly lose. You never know if the AI is holding some removal/reset as their last card that could result in a 20+ point swing or something ridiculous. 3. There is no life bar or hp like in other card game rogue-likes. If you lose a fight, you lose the run. Because you have no way of knowing what is in the AI's hand, you are forced to constantly over commit resources because every tiny fight could result in a loss of the run. Game could have been really good if they just stuck with the normal Gwent formula or something similar to Thronebreaker. I got the game for under $5 and I'm still very disappointed.

It is basically a reskin of Slay the Spire, only worse. If you've never played StS, you'll have a good time.

Not really all that fun, just harder gwent with more frustrating RNG. Bought it on a deal and was tired of normal gwent, so this ended up being somewhat enjoyable for me. DON'T TRY TO 100% IT, ITS NOT FUN (the random events are too rare to occour, taking dozens of runs after doing everything else the game has to offer)

It's Gwent. What is there to not like about it.
