Siege Survival: Gloria Victis

Medieval version of This War of Mine. Lacking the original's atmosphere, but it's hard to compete with the ultimate classic.

bought it for 2€ ish, as part of a deal for another game called Knights of Honor II: Sovereign. With that in mind I will say it is 100% worth it. It is a type of survival game split into two parts. Building up your camp and then travelling outside and gathering materials. Sometimes even a finished part. This duality has to be considered because you have 2 or maybe more villagers that need to eat, drink, and sleep in order to not perform well. They can also be wounded and get sick for staying out in the rain most of the day for two days in a row. The different types of victory conditions is also a nice touch. 100% recommend on a discount without a doubt. I usually don't play games like this (prefer more RTS style instead of this), so it was a nice happenstance that it was grouped in with another game.

Still playing through the scenarios but honestly this game disappointed me. Its too easy, sure you can make it harder after you unlock new game plus but I think at a base level its too easy. The game I think would benefit from a system like in darkest dungeon where random events can just fuck you over and leave you scrambling. I like the base system I just think it needs a bit more substance in the rest of the game to truly make this game a gem. With all that said I still enjoyed my brief time with this game and hope that the devs can continue to perfect their craft!

Game is generally OK. There is a high amount of resource management within the game, it's the main point of the game I'd say. Similar to "This War of Mine". If you enjoyed it, you will most likely enjoy this game too.
