i keep going back on forth over whether i wish this game put in more empty space on the road between objects. on one hand there wouldn't be a lot to see in between, since the prose is so short and vague (yet so specific that i'm certain it's pulled from hexcavator's life) that there's not much left to wonder about while you wander. on the other hand, if there *were* other scenery, interactive or otherwise, on this road in between the story beats, it would better replicate my own experiences taking hours-long walks at night while re/living whatever my brain wants to mull over. i can't take those walks anymore because of very severe back pain, and i miss them a lot. i'll never forget the walk where i looked behind me and there was an opossum following me. i continued walking and looked back about 20 seconds later, to find two more opossums following me. then later, 3 more. a whole family of opossums followed me for about 3 blocks until i finally stopped and turned all the way around, and all of them flashed those horrible teeth of theirs and froze until i left. edit: ive had this game for a while but never launched it until yesterday. i feel extremely called out by the "backlog clearer" achievement.
