Great and slick game by a small development team (2 guys). They come from the Amiga community, and still support that platform, which is an added bonus. The graphics is crisp, and the soundtracks are just awesome. With regards to gameplay; its your standard shoot-em up, but well made. This style of game has been my favorite since the C64 and Amiga days. Added bonus is that they plan to remake an Amiga version. Highly recommended!

Probably the most dull, boring and tedious 2D shooter I have ever played in my entire life (and I own around 150 of 'em). So bad, I removed this game from my library.

crashes frequently on win7. Its impossible to change sound setting (cant stand the music) or one of the other 2 available settings even level-change wont work, can only play first level and why is the UI partially German?

Great game for a low price. It is not sky force, but it has all what a shmup need. Much popcorn, powerups small and big bosses. It makes really fun, the graphics a "retro" cool! I have some flickering and stutter with mouse, but with xbox controller it is really good controlable. I like to have it in my shmup collection. Good Job!

Great game from a great development team. Nice graphics, two player option, good pick up and play game. Levels could be tighter, they feel a little thrown together and could do with a wider variety of music tracks. Overall a nice game and an easy recommend. 87% PS. Please release some more games for amiga 0s4.1

I got this game at a discount because I had a coupon for it. That being said, although this game is worth the $1.50 I spent for it, it is definitely not worth the original $5.00, let me explain why: M.A.C.E. is supposed to be a simple, quick, HD game based on classic Shoot-Em-Up gameplay, and it fits that resume pretty well. However, it doesn't have much to offer (maybe like 15 levels across 3 different "worlds") and it is also somewhat difficult--the game is zoomed in too far, everything happens pretty fast, and your ship's hitbox is pretty big. These 3 qualities can of course make a game like this rather difficult. Personally, after I get all 10 achievements (none of which seem like they'll be too difficult to get) I'm prolly never gonna touch this game again. That all being said, I'd give this game an overall 5/10.

Scroll-shooters that remove your weapon when you lose a life should not exist. It's compounding a punishment when there is absolutely no need for it. Also, I don't like the tactile feel of this game. Hitting enemies with weapons is unsatisfying, as there are often no hit markers and even the basic enemies require multiple hits. Because of this, the game feels sluggish, even though the ship moves quite fast. Visuals are pretty OK, but overal I just dislike too much about this game and can't recommend it to anyone. Get Xenoraid or Saviours instead, if you haven played then yet - they are much, much better.

That's 37 minutes of my life wasted on miserably long stages and perpetually weak firepower. I'll never get that time back.

Nice bit of retro blasting, but I struggled with the mouse being extremely laggy (game-end, not mine). Keyboard controls also not as responsive as it could/should be. Also, the options are limited and I was unable to run in anything other than a forced window mode. I have a decent PC/Gfx Card/32G RAM, so should be MORE than sufficient! lol Hopefully an updaste might sort these issues?

Works really well on the Steam Deck! Nice top down shooter that reminds me of some of the 90s greats 😁

This is a great shoot em up game with good music and visuals. The game has also been developed for the new Amiga OS4 powered machines see below link for more info on this. If you like frantic shooting and dodging bullets then you will enjoy this game very much... http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1155

Took me almost 4 hours to finish for this game on normal mode. Graphics and ship controls are good. It was enjoyable.

Nice game and seams to have some more features compared to the Amiga or iPhone version.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
